Just as Superman, Diana, the Yellow Lantern Corps, and Chen Tian were locked in an intense battle on Titan, Tony, Batman, Flash, and Cyborg, who hadn't been teleported away, confronted each other amidst the ruins of the Triskelion.
In the ruins of the Washington District, Flash's golden lightning tore through the overcast sky.
He stared at Tony and Batman, his voice trembling with anger, "Where did you send Clark and the others?!"
Tony's armor hummed softly, and his faceplate closed again: "Don't worry, Barry. We just found them... a more suitable place to fight."
Cyborg's mechanical arm whirred with hydraulic sounds, and the plasma cannon's muzzle glowed with a dangerous blue light: "Tony, you betrayed us."
"Betrayal?" Tony's lips curved slightly under his faceplate, "I didn't expect Cyborg to be so naive. I am an Arbitrator!"
The Mark-Eclipse armor's nanoparticles began to reassemble, the gold and red paint receding like a tide, as blue, white, and black armor swiftly covered his entire body. Six mechanical wings unfolded from his back, each wing surface flowing with light patterns.
"Angel Mode, activated."
Cyborg didn't hesitate, and a plasma beam cut through the sky.
The moment Tony dodged sideways, the six mechanical wings simultaneously disintegrated, splitting into thirty-six floating cannons, forming a three-dimensional Firepower Network in the air. "Try this." The floating cannons fired simultaneously, weaving a net of Death with blue-white particle beams.
"Energy shield, full power!" Cyborg's right arm transformed into a fan-shaped shield, but three of the projectiles suddenly changed trajectory, bypassing the shield and hitting his left shoulder.
Electrical sparks burst from the mechanical joint, and Cyborg stumbled backward: "New weapon?"
"Quantum entanglement bullets designed specifically for you." Tony crossed his hands, and two laser swords popped out from the backs of his wrists, "Viktor, you rely too much on visible machinery."
Cyborg's electronic eyes flickered rapidly, and his entire armor plating suddenly flipped open, revealing a dense array of weapon ports.
Miniature missiles, laser arrays, and infrasound generators activated simultaneously, and the barrage instantly covered half the sky.
Tony's floating cannons quickly retreated to defend, and the six main wings combined in front of him to form a honeycomb-shaped force field shield. The Impact of the explosions leveled the surrounding buildings.
From the dust, Tony suddenly burst out from directly beneath Cyborg, cutting off Cyborg's right leg hydraulic tube with one strike.
Cyborg roared, swinging his left arm, his electromagnetic gauntlet delivering a million-volt punch towards Tony's face.
Tony leaned back to dodge, his back thrusters firing at full power, delivering a knee strike directly to Cyborg's chest.
"Bang!" Cyborg crashed through three buildings before stopping, his system alarms blaring.
He struggled to get up, finding his locomotion system 40% damaged.
Tony hovered in the air, all floating cannons re-energized, their muzzles glowing with targeting red light: "Surrender, Viktor. You lost this technology race."
Cyborg lay in the crater of the ruins, metal fragments writhing beneath him. Countless silver-gray mechanical tendrils extended from his back, rooting into the ground like tree roots, frantically devouring the surrounding metal debris.
Abandoned vehicles, rebar skeletons, and even underground pipes in the Washington District began to twist and deform, being decomposed and absorbed by the tendrils.
"You shouldn't talk so much, Tony Stark." Cyborg's voice was cold and devoid of any fluctuation.
His mechanical body suddenly trembled violently, and the armor plating on his chest opened up like petals, revealing an energy core two meters in diameter.
Friday's alarm system flashed frantically: "Warning! Antimatter reaction detected—"
Blinding white light exploded, and a five-meter-diameter energy torrent instantly pierced the sky.
Tony urgently activated all thrusters to move sideways, the beam grazing his armor, vaporizing most of Mark-Eclipse's left mechanical wing.
When Tony stabilized himself in the air, the ground began to shake violently.
The crater where Cyborg had been suddenly bulged, and a giant metal hand broke through the ground.
With a deafening metallic roar, a forty-meter-tall mechanical giant slowly stood up. Its torso was reassembled from the metal that had devoured an entire street, and every armor plate was flowing and deforming.
Cyborg's head was embedded in the giant's chest, his electronic eyes flickering with crimson light: "Now, let's redefine 'technology race'."
Tony looked up at the forty-meter-tall mechanical giant, and a light of excitement suddenly burst from his eyes under the faceplate.
"A mecha?" He laughed aloud, his voice filled with fervent battle intent, "Friday, activate Archangel Protocol!"
"Protocol confirmed." The AI female voice calmly replied, "Synchronizing orbital connection—Hephaestus's Forge activated."
The clouds above the Washington District suddenly tore apart, and a dozen giant metal containers, trailing blue exhaust, descended from the sky.
They disintegrated and reassembled in mid-air, their armor plating flowing and deforming like living things.
"Assembly mode activated." Friday's voice remained clear amidst the explosions.
Metal components precisely docked with Tony in mid-air, first the skeleton, then the armor, and finally the weapon systems.
The moment assembly was complete, a giant blue and white mecha crashed to the ground—it was similar to the mecha Tony had used to eliminate demons in Devon County before, but what was different was that the six mechanical wings on its back had unfolded into the iconic Angel Wings of the Wing Zero EW. Eight floating cannons surrounded the mecha, and the energy core in its chest glowed with blinding blue light.
"Meet my new 'Archangel'! Viktor." Tony's voice came from inside the mecha, "I've named it 'Mark—Michael'!" (Michael—Michael, the Archangel.)
The Cyborg Giant let out a deafening roar, its arms transforming into two railguns. Tony's mecha raised its right hand, and the energy-gathering ring in its palm began to spin: "Let's see who is the true god of machinery."
The two behemoths activated simultaneously, and the Impact wave instantly overturned all building debris within a thousand meters.
The ruins of the Triskelion trembled.
The Cyborg Giant roared and raised its arms, the two railguns fully charged, and a searing white energy torrent instantly tore through the air, blasting towards Tony's 'Archangel' mecha.
Tony's thrusters erupted with blinding blue flames, and the mecha dodged sideways, the railgun's Impact wave leveling three tall buildings behind it.
"'Cavalry', full salvo!" Tony commanded, and the eight floating cannons fired simultaneously, blue-white laser beams pouring down like rain. The Cyborg Giant's armor was blasted with countless dents, but its metal body quickly writhed, devouring surrounding ruins for self-repair.
"It's useless, Tony!" Cyborg's voice came from the giant's chest, "As long as there's metal in this city, I'm immortal!"
"Then try this!" Tony's mecha suddenly accelerated, its Angel Wings fully spread, and the mecha transformed into a blue-white meteor, charging directly at the Cyborg Giant.
A laser sword popped out from its right arm, its scorching blade tracing a perfect arc, fiercely striking the giant's knee joint.
"Clang—!"
The ear-splitting sound of tearing metal echoed across the battlefield, the Cyborg Giant's left leg was cleanly severed, and its massive body lost balance, crashing to its knees.
But its reaction was incredibly fast, its right arm instantly transforming into a giant chainsaw sword, striking back at Tony's mecha.
"Warning! Melee threat!" Friday's alarm sounded.
Tony's mecha leaned back to dodge, the chainsaw sword grazing its chest armor, sparks flying. He seized the opportunity to raise his left arm, the energy-gathering ring in his palm spinning at high speed: "Laser cannon, maximum output!"
"Boom—!"
A five-meter-diameter laser beam directly hit the Cyborg Giant's chest, blasting a huge hole in its upper body.
However, Cyborg's head still hovered within the energy core, and the surrounding metal writhed like living matter, rapidly filling in the damage.
"I told you, Tony Stark." Cyborg remained expressionless, "You can't kill me!"
"Then try again!" Tony's mecha suddenly soared into the air, its Angel Wings fully spread, and the eight floating cannons returned to position, forming a firepower net around the mecha.
"All weapon systems, unleash!"
The energy core in the mecha's chest erupted with unprecedented light, and the eight floating cannons simultaneously locked onto the Cyborg Giant's energy core. Laser swords, missile pods, and shoulder cannons all entered ready status.
"Finish it, Friday!"
"Final Attack Mode—activated!"
In an instant, eight laser beams shot from the floating cannons, precisely hitting the Cyborg Giant's limb joints. Missiles poured down like rain, shattering its armor. Finally, Tony's mecha swooped down, its laser sword raised overhead, plunging with all its thrust into the Cyborg Giant's core!
"Boom—!!!"
A massive explosion shockwave swept across half of the Washington District, the Cyborg Giant's body disintegrated under energy overload, and metal fragments rained down. Tony's mecha was thrown hundreds of meters by the shockwave, crashing heavily into a damaged building.
As the smoke and dust cleared, Cyborg's main body crawled out of the ruins, his mechanical body severely damaged, and the mechanical eyes dim.
He struggled to look up and saw Tony's mecha slowly standing up. Although the armor was heavily damaged, the energy core in its chest still stably flickered with blue light.
"It seems..." Cyborg's voice was intermittent, "You still won..."
Tony's faceplate opened, revealing tired but determined eyes: "Viktor, you are strong, but technology is about creation."
Cyborg's electronic eye flickered a few times, and his body slumped to the ground, motionless.
Tony let out a long breath. The 'Archangel' armor's chest opened, and he flew out of it, still in his suit.
"Whew…" He exhaled, "I wonder how the little Batman and the little Flash's fight went."
— — — — — —
On the other side of the Washington District, Flash's golden lightning streaked rapidly through the ruins, each step leaving charred footprints on the ground. Batman stood in the shadows, his cape falling, as if merging with the darkness.
"Bruce, I don't want to fight you!" Barry's voice distorted with his high-speed movement, "We can totally sit down and talk!"
Batman didn't answer, merely pressing a button on his utility belt.
"Buzz—"
A high-frequency pulse instantly covered the entire battlefield, and Flash's figure suddenly froze—his Speed Force field was being interfered with. Barry stumbled to a halt, looking at his hands in astonishment: "When did you develop this?"
"From the beginning," Batman's voice was hoarse and calm, "From when you joined the Justice League."
A flicker of pain crossed Flash's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by anger: "So you've always been on guard against me?"
"On guard against everyone," Batman suddenly threw three Batarangs, their blades wrapped in high-voltage electricity, "Including myself."
Barry's figure once again transformed into a golden Flash, easily dodging the Batarangs. But just as he was about to counterattack, the ground suddenly exploded—pre-buried Vibranium nets tightened from all directions!
"Too fast, Barry." Batman pressed another button, "You always charge in a straight line."
The electric net suddenly energized, and Flash let out a painful groan. But he gritted his teeth, and a stronger Speed Force glow erupted from his body—the electric net began to melt!
"Bang!"
The moment the electric net shattered, Batman was already upon him. His gauntlet glowed blue, delivering a precise uppercut straight to Barry's jaw.
"Snap!"
The punch, however, hit an afterimage. The real Flash appeared behind Batman, delivering a hand chop to his back of the neck.
Batman seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, suddenly ducking and rolling, while simultaneously throwing a smoke bomb from his cape. In the thick smoke, his deep voice came from all directions: "You forgot what I'm best at."
Barry warily looked around, suddenly feeling his ankle tighten—a Bat-grapple had snared him! A huge pull dragged him to the ground, followed by Batman's knee strike!
"Ugh!"
Flash twisted his body at the last second, blocking with his arm. The two rolled and grappled amidst the ruins. Batman's every move was precise and ruthless, targeting joints and pressure points; while Barry, relying on his speed, countered each move, but every attack was anticipated.
"You studied my fighting style." Barry gasped.
"300 possibilities." Batman backflipped to avoid the golden lightning, while simultaneously firing his grapple gun, "Including what you're about to do now—"
Sure enough, Flash was about to launch a surprise attack from the left, but was blocked by a suddenly deployed electromagnetic barrier. Batman seized the opportunity to throw an electrified Batarang, which this time hit Barry's shoulder.
"Ah!" Barry knelt on the ground, but the stubbornness in his eyes remained undiminished, "Why does it have to be like this? Weren't we comrades once?"
Batman's movement paused imperceptibly, but he quickly resumed his fighting stance: "Precisely because we are comrades, I must stop you from straying further down the wrong path."
Flash suddenly laughed, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth: "Bruce… you rely too much on plans."
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure suddenly split into six! Six Flashes charged at Batman from different angles, each carrying real electric light.
Batman's pupils constricted—this was an ability Barry had never displayed before.
"Speed Force Afterimages." All six Barrys spoke simultaneously, "I've practiced for three months, just to deal with control freaks like you."
The afterimages of the six Flashes simultaneously rushed towards Batman from different angles, golden electric light intertwining into a net amidst the ruins. Batman's cape flapped in the high-speed airflow, but he remained astonishingly calm.
"Bruce, surrender!" The voices of the six Barrys overlapped, "You can't win!"
Batman didn't answer. Beneath his goggles, his pupils rapidly contracted—he was analyzing the trajectory of each afterimage. Suddenly, he violently threw three specially made Batarangs, their blades flickering with an eerie blue light.
"It's useless!" Flash easily dodged, but the next second—
"Bang!"
The Batarangs exploded in mid-air, releasing a thick, gel-like substance. Five of the afterimages were instantly stuck, their movements slowing down, and only the true Flash broke free with the Speed Force.
"Phase-interfering gel," Batman gasped, "Specifically designed to disrupt your vibrational frequency."
A hint of surprise flashed in Barry's eyes, but then he smiled again: "Clever trick, but not enough!"
His figure accelerated again, this time no longer a straight dash, but moving in strange arcs. Batman's goggles constantly flashed warnings, and the tracking system began to overload.
"Bruce, you always calculate everything," Flash's voice shifted from left to right, "But some things can't be calculated!"
A golden lightning bolt suddenly struck Batman from behind. Bruce barely managed to turn and block, but Barry's fist had already slammed heavily into his abdomen.
"Cough!" Batman coughed up a mouthful of blood, stumbling backward.
Flash didn't pursue, stopping five meters away: "Enough, Bruce. I don't want to hurt you."
Batman wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and suddenly smiled: "Barry… you're too kind."
His finger quietly pressed the last button on his utility belt.
Flash suddenly felt a sharp pain—he looked down and saw that his suit was covered in tiny electrodes.
"When did—"
"When you hit me," Batman struggled to stand upright, "My suit's surface is covered with conductive nanowires."
"Sizzle—!"
High-voltage current instantly coursed through Flash's entire body. Barry let out a painful scream, falling to his knees. His Speed Force field began to destabilize, and golden lightning uncontrollably scattered.
Batman, dragging his injured body, approached: "Speed… is your advantage, and also your weakness."
He raised the last Batarang, aiming it at Flash's back of the neck.
Barry struggled to look up, his eyes full of confusion: "Why… go to such lengths…"
Batman's movement paused.
"Because… I am Batman."
The Batarang fell, and Flash's body finally went limp.
Batman knelt beside Barry, his trembling hand checking his pulse. After confirming he was only unconscious, he let out a long breath, and finally, unable to support himself, collapsed among the ruins.
— — — — — —
Tony's Iron Man suit landed with a thud next to Batman, the thrusters kicking up a cloud of dust. The faceplate retracted, revealing his signature smile: "Whoa, looks like our Dark Knight finally decided to lie down and rest?"
He knelt down, pulled a can of nano-medical spray from his arm gauntlet, and pressed the nozzle against Batman's bloody abdomen. The moment the blue mist touched the wound, there was a faint sound of flesh growing.
"This stuff works way better than aspirin, though it probably tastes about the same." Tony tilted his head, examining Batman's pale face, "Seriously, you look like a Halloween decoration that got run over by the Batmobile right now."
Batman's lips moved, his voice weak but still deep: "Arbitrators… defense line…"
"Oh, that?" Tony casually tossed the empty can behind him, "You don't have to worry, our Arbitrators' strength is definitely not as simple as you think." He chuckled, "What's more, there's also a Hulk, oh, and Thor has arrived too."
The medical spray began to take effect, and Batman's breathing steadied. He tried to prop himself up, but Tony pressed a hand on his shoulder: "Don't rush, your internal organs are still rearranging themselves."
The rumble of collapsing buildings came from afar, and Tony snapped his fingers without looking back. Miniature missiles rose from the armor's shoulder, precisely hitting falling rebar in mid-air.
"Honestly," Tony suddenly dropped his smile, "You guys who don't use armor always manage to get yourselves into such a mess." He pointed to Batman's shattered gauntlet, "This thing needs an upgrade, I can give you a discount."
Batman finally lifted his eyelids. Beneath his bruised eyes, they were still sharp: "No need."
Tony dramatically spread his hands: "Typical Bat-answer." He stood up, his armor closing around him, "Can you walk? Well, I have to apologize, Batman never gives up, right?"
As Batman leaned against the wall and stood up, Tony timely offered him an adrenaline injector.
The two looked at the mushroom cloud rising over the ocean, Tony's faceplate reflecting the orange-red fire: "Look, they're setting off fireworks."
