Chapter 47 - Coffee Time to Uniform Show

Dominic descended from the sky, directly breaking through the glass skylight of the mall's ceiling, and landed heavily on the ground with a sharp whoosh, kicking up a cloud of dust. Shattered glass flew everywhere, but he stood steadily beside Blonsky, shaking off the debris from his shoulders, looking utterly nonchalant.

"Oh, sorry, came right in without knocking," he shrugged casually, a hint of cynical amusement in his eyes. He then nudged Blonsky's arm with his elbow. "Speaking of which, what's with these guys' gear? Is their getup a particularly fashionable 'uniform party' style? You know, I'm not really familiar with all this police and military stuff." His tone was teasing, as if he didn't take the heavily armed individuals in front of him seriously at all.

Blonsky looked down at the armed individuals still struggling on the ground, a sneer of disdain on his face. "Dominic, you've really arrived at a good time. These guys aren't here for a 'uniform party'; they were probably sent by General Ross." His rough voice carried a hint of sarcasm. "They probably want to capture me and see how much of a threat I am after transforming."

"General Ross?" Dominic raised an eyebrow, the smile at the corner of his mouth deepening. "Oh, it's him. I knew they were all in professional attire, either bodyguards or special forces types. How lively." He bent down and grabbed an armed individual who was lying on the ground groaning, pulling him close and staring into his eyes playfully. "Hey, little brother, do you armed guys like taking risks this much? Daring to provoke the two of us, you've got some nerve."

The armed individual was covered in cold sweat, struggling but not daring to look directly into Dominic's eyes. His lips trembled, but he couldn't say a word. Seeing him too scared to speak, Dominic just chuckled softly and casually tossed him aside. "How boring. I thought I could have a chat with you." He looked up at Blonsky. "So, General Ross really wants to capture you? And he sent these little soldiers? He really doesn't mind the trouble."

Blonsky snorted coldly and nodded. "That's pretty much it. He's always wanted to use me as the army's 'secret weapon,' but I'm not his little dog to just come back when called." He crossed his arms, looking at the scattered armed individuals around him with contempt. "Besides, sending these little fish, does he really think they can catch me? He really overestimates his 'troops'."

Dominic burst out laughing. "Hahaha, well said! These guys look so serious, as if they really think they can achieve something big." He spread his hands, making an exaggerated 'I don't care' gesture. "It's hilarious. I thought Ross would personally lead a team of soldiers to give you some face. Instead, he sends these few lowlifes? It's like sending a few waiters to deal with a dragon-slaying hero."

Blonsky's laughter had a low, mocking tone. "Yeah, Dominic, if they were sent to negotiate, we could have had a good talk. Unfortunately, they came with guns and even wanted me to cooperate in a 'capture operation.' They're really thinking too much." He shook his head. "Ross's level is only this high. He wasn't even prepared for such a half-baked operation. It's truly disappointing."

"Alright, alright," Dominic snapped his fingers and winked at Blonsky. "I was just out for a walk anyway, might as well accompany you to finish this little show. Otherwise, I wouldn't know what to do tonight." He glanced at the armed individuals still groaning on the ground, finally turning his gaze back to Blonsky. "Shall we go? I think General Ross has a lot of headaches to deal with next; we shouldn't delay his 'great plan'."

Blonsky laughed heartily and nodded, turning to follow Dominic towards the mall exit. As he walked, he looked back at the battered special forces, his voice clearly mocking. "If you're really not afraid of death, next time bring Ross with you directly. Maybe we can even talk about life."

In the S.H.I.E.L.D. office, Nick Fury sat at his desk, pinching the bridge of his nose, his eyes filled with exhaustion and helplessness. The desk was covered with various files and reports, and the display screen constantly showed records of General Ross and Blonsky's actions. Although these reports had long annoyed him, he knew that this matter could no longer be avoided.

"Damn Ross," Nick muttered to himself, his tone full of impatience and frustration. "Can't he just settle down for a while? He actually sent a team to capture Blonsky, making it look like a military exercise." He shook his head and sighed deeply. "And Dominic and Blonsky, those are the two I finally planned to bring into the Avengers, and now they've become thorns in everyone's side."

Nick looked up at the information on the screen, his expression becoming more serious. "Now this is great. I have to be the mediator. Dominic, Blonsky, General Ross... getting these people together is a World-class headache." He rubbed his temples hard, feeling like his head was about to explode. "It seems dealing with this mess of a relationship won't be sorted out with just a few words."

Meanwhile, at another military Base.

General Ross stood by the office window, listening to his adjutant report the failure of the mission, his brows tightly furrowed. He smacked his lips twice and downed the whiskey in his glass in one gulp, then slammed the glass heavily onto the desk with a 'bang'.

"Hmph, I knew Abomination wouldn't be captured so easily," he sneered, a cruel glint flashing in his eyes. "But this mission failure isn't too bad; at least I've figured out their attitude." He walked to the center of the office, hands on his hips, his sharp gaze sweeping over the officers in front of him. "You think failure is a disgrace? No, I don't think so. To get something, you always have to sacrifice something."

Ross turned around, facing the window, looking out at the vast training ground outside the Base. The setting Sun's afterglow illuminated his stern face, making his expression appear even more somber and resolute.

"Those armed individuals were just pawns in my hands. Send them out when needed to test Blonsky's strength; that is their value." The corner of his mouth curved slightly, revealing a strange smile. "If I had captured Blonsky, that would have been a great achievement, of course. If not, it's no big deal; at least it gives me more leverage and intelligence."

He clenched his fist tightly, his voice cold and merciless. "Moreover, even if the cost is great, as long as I can bring Abomination back, what are those so-called 'losses'? There must be some sacrifice to gain true reward. As for Dominic... once I truly have an army and battle armor, it won't be his turn to be arrogant."

The adjutant listened silently from the side, not daring to say more. The atmosphere in the Base became heavier. A hint of madness and obsession, imperceptible to others, flashed in General Ross's eyes. He quietly 'defined' it: "Continue to execute the original plan. No matter the cost, Blonsky must be brought back. As for the failure of those 'Agents'... failing a few more times doesn't matter, as long as the final victory is mine."

After speaking, as if talking to himself, he mumbled again, "Dominic and Blonsky, these two will become my assets sooner or later."
