Chapter 52 - I rely on myself, you rely on scrap metal

Dominic stood in the center, surrounded by battle armor, a hint of disdain and coldness flashing in his eyes. He looked up at the armor closing in on him and a cruel smile played on his lips. "Oh, so many new toys? Looks like I'll have a lot of fun tonight." His voice was cold and arrogant, filled with a sense of superiority as if looking down on all living beings.

As soon as he finished speaking, Dominic leaped up with dazzling speed. Before anyone could react, he had already flashed in front of the nearest battle armor and delivered a heavy punch. With a muffled "boom," the armor was instantly shattered, parts flying everywhere like exploding steel fireworks.

"Humph, coming one by one to die?" Dominic sneered in a low voice, his eyes as sharp as blades. "Looks like these tin cans are just for show; they can't even withstand a few of my hits."

He turned and saw another battle armor lunging towards him, raising its steel blade-like weapons, attempting to cut him in half. Dominic didn't dodge or evade at all, meeting it head-on. He quickly raised his right hand and grabbed the armor's wrist. The steel blade was only inches from his waist, but the armor couldn't move forward even half a step.

Dominic's lips curved slightly upward, a hint of contempt appearing in his eyes. "Come on, let me see what other tricks you have." He suddenly exerted force, snapping off the armor's steel blade, and then executed a beautiful over-the-shoulder throw, sending it crashing to the ground with parts scattering everywhere.

At this moment, several battle armor lunged at him from all directions, attempting to surround him. But Dominic remained calm. A cold light flashed in his eyes, and his body shifted slightly to the side. He streaked past like a bolt of lightning. The next second, his hands each grabbed the head of a battle armor, and he slammed them together. The two steel heads collided into a mess in his hands, sending sparks flying.

"You really think this junk can deal with me?" Dominic shook his hands, as if dusting off something. "How naive." His voice was relaxed and arrogant, as if everything was under his control.

Another battle armor quickly attacked from the side, attempting a sneak attack. But Dominic seemed to have anticipated it. He smiled slightly, his body abruptly turned, sidestepping the armor's attack. Then he reached out and grabbed the armor's chest, tearing it apart with force. Steel plates and cables ripped like paper. A red light flashed in his eyes, and with a "hiss" of a laser, he directly cut the armor's core in half, sending sparks and smoke spraying everywhere.

The armor's wreckage was tossed aside like scrap paper. There was still no ripple in Dominic's eyes, as if this was just a little trick to pass the time. He casually stretched, his gaze calmly sweeping over the remaining battle armor around him. "Come on, I'm still waiting for these little toys of yours to entertain me."

The remaining battle armor seemed to hesitate, but still gritted their teeth and continued to lunge forward. Dominic sneered and shook his head. His body sank slightly, then suddenly sprang up. He shot into the group of armor like a cannonball. Every punch was accompanied by a muffled impact and the sound of circuits shorting and exploding. Within seconds, four or five battle armor were beaten to pieces.

He didn't care at all about the sparks and fragments splashing from the battle armor, as if it was all a game under his control. Just as the last battle armor attempted to sneak attack from behind, a red laser suddenly appeared in Dominic's hand. He turned, waved his arm, and the laser directly penetrated the armor's core. The entire machine emitted a sharp explosion, then crashed to the ground.

Dominic stood among the armor's wreckage, smiled lightly, and raised his hand to glance at his palm. "Too easy. It almost makes me lose interest."

Just then, he heard a mechanical roar. In the distance, more battle armor was gathering, surging towards him as if endless. Dominic looked up, revealing a cynical smile. "Oh, so impatient? Then let's continue."

Ivan, wearing dark battle armor, like a steel monster, slowly emerged from the darkness. Behind him was a dense army of battle armor, neatly arranged like a steel legion awaiting orders. The eyes of every battle armor flashed with red light, like countless cold points of fire in the dark night, watching motionlessly ahead. The scene was grand, as if a war was about to break out. The air was filled with the cold hardness of metal and a grimness, as if the entire World was enveloped by this cold steel.

Ivan stood at the very front, the light core on his chest flickering slightly, like an embellishment to his sinister smile. His battle armor emitted a low mechanical sound, appearing particularly ferocious. He looked up, his eyes, cold as a poisonous snake, staring at Dominic. A meaningful smile appeared on his lips. "Dominic, look, this is power."

He pointed at the dense group of battle armor behind him, his voice low and cold, filled with insurmountable arrogance. "Look at these 'children' behind me. Every single one is prepared for you. I know your power, like Superman, invincible, but don't forget, Superman also has his nemesis." A curve appeared on his lips, his tone full of mockery and provocation. "If I wanted to, I could turn this place into ruins within a second, and incidentally, have all those stupid onlookers buried with it."

As he spoke, he raised his hand, the armor's fingers bending slightly, as if ready to give orders. His tone became increasingly sinister. "I've always wanted to know if you, this so-called 'hero,' can remain calm under real pressure. To protect these poor innocents, will you yield? Or rather—will you be severely humiliated by me in front of them?"

His eyes flashed with malicious light, as if he already saw Dominic forced to kneel, his heart filled with twisted pleasure. "You're a hero, then come on, save them. You can save one, you can save two, but can you save everyone?" His voice was like barbed Venom, every word carrying contempt and mockery towards Dominic.

Dominic merely smiled slightly, not a ripple in his eyes. He lightly raised his head and slowly flew towards Ivan until they were only inches apart. Ivan's group of battle armor immediately closed in, surrounding Dominic completely, as if ready to pounce and tear him apart at any moment. But Dominic remained composed, his eyes even carrying a hint of playful light.

"Wow, what a grand scene." Dominic's lips curved slightly upward, his tone full of cynical frivolity. "Sounds like you really hope I'll kneel down and beg you, Ivan. But, I have to say, this 'villain line' you chose is a bit cliché."

He floated forward a step, moving directly close to Ivan's mask. A hint of dangerous light flashed in his eyes. "Do you know the biggest difference between me and you? You rely on this junk to find your existence, and I—" He lightly raised his hand and pointed to his chest. "I rely on myself."
