Chapter 114 - The Rift in the Nine Realms

Dominic had just hung up Pepper's call when his phone rang again. He glanced at the screen, his brow furrowing slightly, and answered, "Daisy? What's wrong? You sound rushed."

Daisy Lewis's voice came from the other end, clearly laced with a hint of panic and tension: "Dominic, where are you?! We've had a major incident! Jane Foster is missing, she might have broken into some... uh, some kind of strange space! And Eric's condition is even worse than last time in New York, he ran to the top floor of the museum in his underwear, holding an old TV antenna, shouting about 'cosmic alignment'!"

Dominic sighed softly, rubbing his temples, his tone carrying a hint of impatience: "Daisy, can you please get to the point first? Who's missing? What strange space?"

"It's Jane! Jane Foster! The Jane who's dating Thor, the thunder guy!" Daisy spoke rapidly, almost incoherently, "She just disappeared in some ruins, and our instruments show... that place might be some kind of node connecting the Nine Realms. I don't know the specifics, but this is definitely not simple, it's like... an astronomical disaster!"

Dominic raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of interest entering his voice: "Nine Realms connection? Daisy, that sounds like an Asgardian matter. Did you call Thor? Or is he busy swinging his mjolnir on the Rainbow Bridge again?"

Daisy's tone held helplessness and a hint of urgency: "Of course I tried! But I couldn't reach Thor. He's probably celebrating in Asgard, who knows? Besides, I don't want to rely on his 'muscles and hammer' to solve the problem, I need you more to deal with these strange energy anomalies!"

Dominic smiled faintly, a hint of teasing in his voice: "Daisy, I'm not your firefighter. But since you're asking so sincerely, I can see if I can help you with this little trouble of yours."

Daisy was visibly relieved, her tone becoming more relaxed: "Great! We've set up a temporary research station in a dilapidated warehouse in London, and the energy anomaly we're monitoring is concentrated around Greenwich. Hurry over, we really need you!"

Dominic looked down at his clothes, sighing softly: "London, Greenwich, got it. I'll be there as soon as possible, but don't expect me to smash everything with a single blow like Thor."

After hanging up the phone, Dominic stood up, a playful smile on his lips. He slowly muttered to himself: "Nine Realms connection, cosmic alignment... sounds a lot more interesting than the petty squabbles on Earth. Hope this trouble is enough to give me a workout."

Location: London, Greenwich.

The sky was overcast, and there was a strange restlessness in the air. As a low roar ripped through the sky, a dazzling red light descended from above, crashing violently into the ground. The shockwave kicked up dust, shattered rocks scattered, and the air was filled with a scorching heat. Dominic slowly emerged from the red light, his figure tall and his aura terrifying. He stepped out of the dust, the light behind him gradually fading, leaving behind a divine presence.

Daisy Lewis's eyes widened, and then she screamed excitedly, rushing forward and throwing her arms around Dominic's waist, almost knocking herself backward a few steps.

"Oh my God! You're my hero!" Daisy looked up at Dominic, her face filled with unconcealed excitement, "You know, I was just thinking, if you didn't show up soon, we might have been blown away by all these chaotic energies!"

Dominic looked down at her, a playful smile on his lips: "Daisy, your enthusiasm is certainly touching. But don't you think this welcome ceremony is a bit exaggerated?"

Daisy patted his chest, pouting and smiling: "Exaggerated? Please, we're on the verge of the apocalypse here, seeing you descend from the sky is already my lucky day!"

Eric Selvig stood in the doorway of the warehouse in the distance, his expression complex. He squinted at Dominic, muttering to himself: "A guy falling from the sky... another superhero who likes to make a grand entrance." He shook his head, a hint of sourness in his voice: "But honestly, this situation really needs a miracle."

Dominic heard his voice, turned to look at him, and raised an eyebrow, a hint of playfulness in his tone: "Dr. Eric, it sounds like you have an opinion on my arrival method? How about you design a more low-key way to show up?"

Eric grinned and shook his head: "Low-key? When have you heroes ever been low-key? But honestly, now is not the time to discuss how you arrived." His expression suddenly turned serious, and he pointed to a pile of equipment inside the warehouse, "We've detected abnormal energy fluctuations here. These energies are not ordinary natural phenomena, they're like... from a larger cosmic structure."

Daisy chimed in: "It's the Nine Realms connection! Eric has been crazy all day, talking about 'cosmic alignment'. Although I don't really understand it, it's clear that this is more complicated than we thought."

Dominic narrowed his eyes slightly and turned to look at Eric: "Doctor, be more specific. What's the source of the energy? And how did it affect Jane?"

Eric clenched his hands, his speech quickening, clearly driven by suppressed anxiety: "Greenwich! That's one of the key points. Jane seems to have accidentally triggered some ruins, and that place might be a Nine Realms node – during 'cosmic alignment', the boundaries between realms become unusually thin. This energy... is not only dangerous, but it's also disrupting Earth's physical rules." He paused, a flicker of unease in his eyes, "Jane might have... might have been drawn into the center of this energy."

Daisy looked up at Dominic, her voice urgent: "This isn't just a scientific problem, it's more like some kind of cosmic disaster. If we don't find Jane soon, who knows what will happen next?"

Eric sighed, his face etched with complex anxiety, he raised his finger and pointed to the sky, his voice mixed with fear and helplessness: "Jane's body... absorbed something. At first, she just felt weak, but then she started glowing, emitting an energy fluctuation that I couldn't explain at all. Then, Thor appeared. He said Jane couldn't stay on Earth, so he took her away."

He paused, his Adam's apple bobbing, his voice hoarse: "But now... I... I can't reach them at all, no one is telling me what happened."

As soon as he finished speaking, a low roar came from the sky. Daisy's head snapped up, her eyes instantly filled with shock: "Oh my God, what is that?"

In the sky, a black cloud rolled in, obscuring the already gloomy light. The wind howled, and the air was filled with uneasy restlessness. Suddenly, a golden lightning bolt tore through the clouds, and Thor's figure descended from the sky. mjolnir in his hand flashed with dazzling lightning, and his face was filled with the angry expression of a fighting God.

However, his opponent also appeared. It was a tall figure with pale skin and wearing black armor. His eyes burned with cold blue light, and he held a strangely shaped weapon in his hand, carrying a chilling sense of oppression. The two descended from the sky, crashing violently onto the ground with a deafening explosion, and the surrounding buildings trembled violently.

"Who the hell is that guy?!" Daisy screamed, quickly hiding behind Dominic, clinging tightly to his arm. Her voice was filled with fear: "What kind of monster is Thor's opponent? From hell?"

Eric also hurriedly retreated a few steps, standing nervously beside Dominic. His voice trembled, with a hint of despair: "I don't know... I've never seen this person... or... this thing."

Dominic stood there motionless, calmly watching the two fighting. He didn't turn around, just said casually: "Calm down, don't use your Screams as weapons. I'm not sure if they'll work."

Thor and the strange enemy fought fiercely, lightning and darkness intertwined, and explosions echoed continuously. Daisy, huddled behind Dominic, couldn't help but mutter: "What is going on? We haven't even found Jane yet, and now we have this God-level battle... Can London's insurance companies afford this?"

Eric stared nervously at the battle scene, his face pale: "If this energy continues to spread... we might not just need insurance, we might need prayers."
