Thor was the first to swing mjolnir, sending the power of thunder directly towards Malekith's chest, but the energy was incredibly distorted and shattered the moment it touched Malekith, the lightning disappearing as if swallowed by a black hole.
Malekith sneered, waving his palm, and the scarlet fluctuations twisted the space around Thor, forcing him back a few steps. Dominic seized the opportunity to flash behind Malekith, raising his leg and kicking towards the opponent's back. That blow was powerful enough to overturn a truck, but Malekith slightly shifted his body, and the scarlet energy formed a barrier that blocked the attack. The recoil force exploded, and Dominic slid back several meters, his feet plowing a deep mark in the ground.
"Your power is meaningless before reality!" Malekith roared, slamming both hands down onto the ground. The Aether Particle energy transformed into dozens of sharp spikes, rising abruptly from the ground and piercing towards the two.
Thor rolled, narrowly avoiding the spikes that pierced the ground, then vibrated mjolnir. The lightning storm generated by the high-speed rotation swept towards Malekith. Lightning exploded in the storm, and the vibrating energy caused the ground to begin collapsing, but the Aether Particles in Malekith's hand once again twisted the energy, reflecting the lightning back towards Thor.
The lightning struck Thor's chest, and he grunted, falling to the ground, smoke rising from his armor. Dominic seized the chance to rush towards Malekith, his fist tearing through the air with a sonic boom, striking his side face. Malekith barely managed to raise one hand, and the scarlet energy formed a shield, but the shield cracked under Dominic's impact. The aftershock of that punch sent Malekith staggering back, a trace of dark blood flowing from the corner of his mouth.
Malekith gritted his teeth, scarlet Aether Particles surged around him. He abruptly swung upwards, and the energy transformed into a massive scarlet blade, slashing down from the air towards the two. Dominic quickly flew up, grabbed Thor's shoulder, and pulled him off the ground. The blade slashed down fiercely, splitting the ground in half and raising a huge wave of air.
Thor steadied himself, nodded to Dominic, and then vibrated mjolnir again. The lightning bolts transformed into several electric snakes, attacking Malekith from all directions. The electric snakes penetrated the spatial distortion, hitting Malekith's body directly and sending him staggering back several steps.
Malekith roared, burning with rage, and abruptly swung both hands. The Aether Particle energy formed a distorted vortex, sucking Thor and Dominic towards the center. Dominic stomped the ground, shattering it, and leaped with force towards the center of the vortex. He crossed his fists, smashing towards Malekith's chest with a violent impact.
Malekith was hit by this blow, his body shaking violently, but he quickly adjusted his posture, and the energy of the Aether Particles counterattacked, blasting Dominic several meters away. Thor seized the opportunity, leaped behind Malekith, and brought mjolnir down heavily, hitting his shoulder. Malekith grunted, kneeling on one knee, but the aether energy in his hand quickly transformed into sharp spikes, thrusting fiercely towards Thor's chest.
Thor blocked the spikes with mjolnir, but the huge impact force still pushed him back a few steps. Dominic charged forward again, and this time, he punched Malekith directly in the face, sending him flying several meters sideways to crash heavily on the ground.
Thor watched Malekith being sent flying by a single punch and slowly breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to look at Dominic beside him, a rare expression of gratitude on his face: "Dominic, if it weren't for you, this battle might already be over... and I might have long been completely overwhelmed by that power."
Dominic stood in place, arms crossed, his gaze still fixed on the knocked-away Malekith, his tone carrying a hint of warning: "Save the thanks for later. You should know that thing in his hand isn't at its limit yet, and the battle isn't over."
Just as Dominic's words fell, Malekith slowly got up from the ground. His movements were a little stiff, but his face wore a chilling smile. He reached up to wipe the corner of his mouth, the crimson liquid leaving a distinct bloodstain on the back of his hand – the dark purple unique to Dark Elves, with a cold, eerie sheen.
"Very good..." Malekith said in a low voice, his tone filled with unconcealed excitement and fanaticism, "Very good... Finally, I have witnessed the so-called 'heroes.'" He raised both hands, and the Aether Particles in his hands began to tremble violently. Scarlet light surged outwards from his palms, and distorted energy waves exploded in the air.
Malekith's movements gradually became fluid and precise. He looked up at the sky, raised his arms high, and began to chant an obscure and difficult-to-understand spell. His voice was low and sharp, every syllable seemingly vibrating the surrounding space. As he chanted, the ground began to crack, the surrounding space became distorted, and the scarlet energy transformed into a vortex, enveloping his entire body.
"He's performing some kind of ritual!" Thor's face was filled with anxiety. He swung mjolnir, preparing to rush forward to stop him. He looked at Dominic, his voice urgent: "We can't let him succeed! If he truly completely fuses with the Aether Particles, the Nine Realms will be destroyed!"
"Obviously," Dominic replied coldly, then sprinted to follow Thor, and the two quickly charged towards Malekith.
However, as the scarlet energy of the Aether Particles erupted, their movements suddenly became sluggish, as if the surrounding space had been redefined. Their steps were like being stuck in a thick mire, every step incredibly difficult. Thor swung mjolnir with force, trying to accelerate, but the power of thunder was also suppressed, the lightning in the air seemingly crumpled into a ball, unable to erupt for a long time.
Malekith's laughter came from the vortex, carrying an indescribable arrogance and contempt: "Your struggles are useless! The laws of reality are already under my control, every step, every blow you make, is nothing but a futile performance!"
His body gradually changed within the vortex. The Aether Particles completely integrated into his body, and the scarlet energy spread throughout his limbs and torso like blood vessels. His height suddenly increased, his figure becoming more slender and strong, and scarlet runes appeared on his dark skin, like some kind of bizarre ritual mark. His eyes burned with deep purple flames, and his hair turned into a mass of dark red mist, churning in the storm.
His arms extended into sharp scarlet light blades, and the spikes at the ends of his fingers emitted a dangerous cold light. His chest was pierced by the energy of the Aether Particles, forming a distorted and dazzling core, as if the heart of reality was beating within him. His voice also became low and grand, every word carrying immense pressure.
"I am the embodiment of darkness, the ultimate master of reality!" Malekith's voice boomed, echoing throughout the center of the storm. He slowly raised his hand, and the scarlet light transformed into a massive energy wave, beginning to spread outwards, "At this moment, the Nine Realms will welcome true darkness! And you—will forever sink into this endless abyss!"
