Chapter 1 - War

In the peace of the people of the world called CODE, evil began to emerge. Crimes such as raids, robberies, and acts of revenge escalated until it grew into wars within their own nations.

Because the Federated States (F.S) was under threat, Vex Maskado pleaded for help from other countries to stop the chaos. Since no one answered, she entrusted his eldest child to become his weapon—appointing Trix Maskado as Vice General. Trix began to act, and with the power of his songs, she defeated criminals. The people of F.S. hailed her as a hero. Each year, Trix continued his duty, encouraged by the support of the people and his fans, which strengthened his confidence in singing.

But eventually, he fell into his own shadow—Trix became the Dark Psycho. She kept his plans hidden, consumed by his personal pride. Then came word from another country, Tharwald, where evil was rampant and innocent people cried out for help. Trix, as Vice General, moved—but with dark intentions. She planned to turn Tharwald into his Battlefield Concert.

She immediately attacked Tharwald. His cruelty caused even innocent people to suffer. His younger brother, Harborn Maskado, was enraged, for Trix's actions were unjust—especially since Harborn had someone he loved in Tharwald. Their clash escalated to the point where their powers devastated the land of Tharwald, shaking both soldiers and citizens in fear.

When their sister Trisha Maskado heard of the brothers' battle, she rushed there, fearing further harm to innocents. Upon arrival, Trisha played her trumpet—her power was Divine Punishment. The sound halted Trix and Harborn. Trix chose to withdraw to preserve his secret plans. Thanks to Trisha, Trix calmed, but Harborn insisted that Trix's actions were wrong because innocent people were being harmed.

Trix, angered, insisted he was only fulfilling his duty. Trisha decided the fighting must end and that Tharwald should be left in peace. Unable to accept Trix, Harborn walked away and never returned, instead settling in Tharwald with the one he loved. In time, Harborn became a general of Tharwald. But the relationship between Trix and Trisha fractured, for Trisha resented how Trix, blinded by duty, had forgotten the value of innocent lives.

A week later, the whole world was shocked.

In the nation of Hayna, General Jiahong Hanwei was seduced by his shadow and sought to ignite great wars. Hayna, ruthless and cruel, began conquering country after country, becoming known as the Empire of Hayna. Alarm spread to Hapan, fearing they would be next.

In just one day, the Empire of Hayna invaded Hapan, and by dawn, war erupted. Hayna soldiers massacred innocents, abused women, and tortured people. The Takahashi family was caught in this cruelty—the mother of Rumi and Jo was killed. When the brothers returned from the farm and saw her lifeless body, Rumi's rage awakened his true power: The Warrior Drums.

With thunderous beats, Rumi brutally slaughtered Hayna soldiers. His younger sister Jo, terrified, played his banjo to support him. Rumi showed no mercy, exhausting himself yet killing countless enemies. Even Commander Luwen Xiaoyu of Hayna panicked and called for General Jiahong Hanwei to retreat.

The soldiers pulled back, but Rumi was unsatisfied. His bloodlust grew, determined to destroy Hayna for its tyranny. Jo, powerless, could only follow Rumi's lead. Rumi rallied the people of Hapan, demanding justice for the dead. But Jo grew increasingly afraid, seeing how his brother was becoming a different person. Meanwhile, Hanwei plotted to strike Hapan from the west.

The United Realm (U.R.) soon heard of these wars.

In the Ashford family, the Rock Rush Trio (RRT) rose: three siblings who prepared for defense with no fear, treating the invasion as their greatest performance.

General George Ashford used his Turntable (DJ) to strengthen soldiers with soundwaves.

Commander Oliver Ashford wielded a Fire Guitar, empowering weapons with blazing sound.

James Ashford, leader of soldiers, struck his Bass Drum, weakening enemies with heavy sound. His ultimate skill, Double Heavy Sound, unleashed massive explosions.

As RRT played, Hayna's forces dwindled. Alarmed, Commander Yi Waiba informed Hanwei, who sought aid from Hassian and North Hoya. Thus, General Vladarik Drovkin of Hassian and General Hanro Jinhok of North Hoya joined forces. This war became known as CODE War One (C.W.O).

The battle raged. U.R. forces struggled as RRT's strength waned. Still, they fought with their lives. Yet during the clash, James Ashford was killed. His father, Watcher, enraged, descended onto the battlefield. Cradling James' lifeless body, Watcher's fury terrified even the CWO armies, forcing them to retreat.

As Watcher raised his head, a gigantic face appeared in the sky. The entire world saw it. People and soldiers trembled in fear. The soldiers whispered: "Is this the power of a Watcher?"

But Watcher himself grew afraid. The face pointed its finger downward.

Face: "Who are you? Why do you exist in a world you don't belong to?"

The finger moved, erasing Watcher—turning him to ash. Soldiers, generals, and the world froze in terror. The fighting ceased. All in CODE witnessed the event. George and Oliver were speechless, silenced by the sight of their father's erasure.
