Chapter 5 - It makes sense, right?

It was only when Xiao Wu had completely calmed down that she noticed the object Ye Qiu was carrying on his back. Seeing him still staring blankly at her, she felt a sweet warmth in her heart for some reason.

"Ye Qiu, where did you go? What's that on your back? Hmm?"

Seeing that Ye Qiu was still in a daze, Xiao Wu felt that she had been overly sentimental. She pulled his hand from her head, huffing angrily.

"Hey! What are you thinking about?!"

"Ah? Nothing, nothing." Ye Qiu scratched his head, having come back to his senses. "What did you just ask me?"

"Ye Qiu! Do you even care about Xiao Wu Jie at all?" Xiao Wu glared at him, her mood turning a bit sour.

"Why would I care about you?" Ye Qiu rolled his eyes, no longer dwelling on what she had just said, and turned to place the item on the table.

"You! Hmph!" The huffing Xiao Wu gritted her teeth, not knowing what to say, and just let out another delicate snort.

"Come over and see what I prepared for you."

"Something for me?" Xiao Wu was curious, her rabbit ears perked up, and she hopped over to Ye Qiu with doubt. "Is it something fun again?"

"Why are you always thinking about playing?" Ye Qiu covered his head, feeling a bit helpless.

Xiao Wu, however, ignored Ye Qiu's complaint, her eyes fixed on the clothes in his hand.

A light flashed in her eyes, "Is this for me?"

"That's right," Ye Qiu glanced at her, "You don't even look at whose clothes you're wearing. No one should make fun of you anymore! Haha."

Remembering the scene where Xiao Wu had gone out wearing his clothes and was mocked by other kids, Ye Qiu couldn't help but laugh.

"Hurry up and go change into it and show me!"

He urged her to try it on quickly so they could make adjustments if anything didn't fit.

However, it turned out Ye Qiu had overthought it.

"Ye Qiu, how is it? Does it look good?" Xiao Wu, wearing her new clothes, kept spinning in front of Ye Qiu.

"Not bad, it fits well!"

"Hey! I asked you if it looks good?!"

"Hmm, you should come over and look at this quilt first."

"Ye Qiu!" Xiao Wu uttered his name word by word, clenching her fists, imagining punching Ye Qiu in the face. She couldn't understand why this guy always made her angry!

But for the sake of the new clothes, Xiao Wu decided to forgive him this time.

Ye Qiu, who had already unfolded the new quilt, turned around to find her already close by. "Why did you buy a quilt?"

Then, with a tearful face, she pressed close to Ye Qiu, "Are we not sleeping together anymore?"

"..." The handsome boy was speechless. As expected of the hooligan rabbit, what kind of outrageous words were those?

However, Ye Qiu patiently explained, "Men and women should not touch each other. When we get to school, there will be single beds."

"Oh~ I see!"

Hearing her slightly disappointed tone, Ye Qiu couldn't help but worry about his future safety.

If Tang San still fell in love with this rabbit and found out about them sharing a bed, wouldn't he be asking for death?

"Oh, and there's a Xiao Wu embroidered on the quilt..."

Bang! Before he could finish speaking, Ye Qiu was embraced by a petite figure and knocked down.

No one had ever been so good to her except her mother, and for a moment, she couldn't control her emotions.

"I saw it, thank you, Ye Qiu."

The soft voice that entered his ear, the breath on his cheek, stirred Ye Qiu's nerves.

He couldn't help but sigh, no wonder even Tang San, a man who had lived two lives, would be captivated by this rabbit. It was indeed hard to resist.

So cute, anyone would be charmed.

After a while, she still didn't let go.

"Shouldn't you let go now... I can't breathe!"

"No! You always make me angry, I'll crush you!"

Pressing down on Ye Qiu, she still wriggled her body, as if trying to grind him into pieces, her little face red, either from exertion or embarrassment.

'This is really suffering!' Ye Qiu complained inwardly, his face also uncharacteristically flushed. He really couldn't breathe!

"Hooligan rabbit! Don't go too far!"

Ye Qiu declared that a scholar would rather die than be humiliated!

"Oh my! You still dare to call me a hooligan rabbit, today Xiao Wu Jie will definitely beat you up!"

...Another farce ended under the gaze of Ye Qiu's Sharingan.

Of course, it would be even better if his left eye socket wasn't purple.

"Ye Qiu... Are you okay! Are you okay?" Xiao Wu extended her paw and kept waving it in front of Ye Qiu.

"I'm not dead!" he replied grumpily.

"I didn't do it on purpose... How about I let you hit me back?" She squatted in front of Ye Qiu, pointing to her own eyes.

"No need, just consider it an apology to Xiao Bai!"

...

"Hey, I said, what do you still have that's not packed? I told you to get ready yesterday, but you just kept playing!"

Early the next morning, Ye Qiu's impatient voice came from the stone house.

His eyes had already de-swelled, but there was a tooth mark on his cheek. He didn't know what this silly rabbit had done yesterday.

She insisted on sharing a quilt with him, and not only that, she bit him in the middle of the night. Ye Qiu felt she was intentionally retaliating, but he had no evidence.

"It's ready! Why are you so fierce? It was just a bite!" Xiao Wu smiled, sticking out her tongue at Ye Qiu, making him even more certain that the rabbit had done it on purpose.

"Why are you covering your eyes?" Xiao Wu looked at him curiously.

At this moment, Ye Qiu's eyes were wrapped with a black silk band. From the outside, his eyes couldn't be seen, and from the inside, it didn't interfere much with his vision.

"My Spirit is my eyes, so such a delicate place naturally needs protection, right?" He spread his hands, explaining.

It was indeed for protection. The tomoe in the Sharingan were quite obvious, and if someone with ill intentions knew about his Spirit's change, it would inevitably lead to trouble.

Additionally, that inappropriate ability could also be moderately curbed.

Xiao Wu then looked at the wooden toys in front of them, bows, slingshots, etc., "It's a shame these toys can't be taken with us."

"If you want them, I'll make them for you later, as long as there's wood." Ye Qiu pouted, adding in his heart, 'I'm afraid you won't appreciate my craftsmanship after seeing Tang San's crossbow arrows!'

"Then it's a deal! Let's go..." Hearing this, Xiao Wu's face broke into a smile. She took Ye Qiu's hand and stepped through the wooden door to the outside.

She held her pink little bag with one hand, only she knew that there was one more item inside: a bamboo dragonfly, the first toy Ye Qiu had made for her.

"Wait for me." He told Xiao Wu, then went under the peach tree, lit a few sticks of incense, knelt on the ground, and kowtowed three times.

"Grandpa, Xiao Qiu is leaving now."

Just as he was about to get up, he found Xiao Wu also kneeling down.

"What are you doing?" Ye Qiu looked at her, puzzled. Was her rabbit head not working properly?

"I... I'm kneeling to my mom, is that not allowed?!" Xiao Wu stammered in reply, looking somewhat guilty.

She muttered something, quickly kowtowed a few times, then immediately got up and ran off into the distance.

"How inexplicable!" This series of actions left Ye Qiu completely bewildered.
