Chapter 264 - Chapter 264 Shrek's Ending.

Chapter 264 Shrek's Ending.

After confirming all the personnel, Wang Xiaofei left alone. Dean Huo Tianchen then notified everyone individually to hand over their current work and to gather at the Elemental Academy a year later.

When everyone received the message, they were all stunned. According to Dean Huo Tianchen, these people had already contributed enough to the Douluo Federation and could be arranged to retire and recuperate at the Elemental Academy.

Everyone had to hand over their work within a year and train capable personnel to ensure no chaos occurred within the Douluo Federation.

Wang Xiaofei's measure was very sudden, and many found it strange, but no one dared to disobey him, as everyone knew of his ruthlessness.

Of course, some observant people noticed that most of those chosen were Wang Xiaofei's close associates, or rather, members of the Elemental Academy, plus a few loyal to the Douluo Federation.

Some speculated that those chosen would likely receive considerable benefits, but those not selected were also helpless, as no one could match the chosen personnel in terms of competence.

Wang Xiaofei returned to the elements, spending as much time as possible with his two wives and two children, enjoying family life. Such free time might become rare, and he would be traveling far away, unsure when he would be able to reunite with his family again.

Compared to Wang Xiaofei's god-making plan, Tang San's life in the God Realm was much worse.

After Tang San was caught stealing by Wang Xiaofei, although the four God Kings intervened to prevent Tang San from being judged, thus preserving some face, the Phoenix God of Douluo Star issued a punishment for Tang San without trial, banishing Tang San, Tang Hao, and Ah Yin from Douluo Star, causing Tang San to lose all his prestige.

Tang San was a newly promoted God King, the new Asura God, and the new enforcer of the God Realm.

Yet, this dignified enforcer had broken the law himself, sneaking onto Douluo Star to steal, and being caught. People looked at the Asura God Tang San with very strange eyes.

When Tang San returned to the God Realm, he was immediately confronted with questioning from the other four God Kings.

The Destruction God King, the most fiery and power-hungry, felt Tang San's low strength was a disgrace to the God Kings and directly suggested imprisoning Tang San until he reached the strength of the former Asura God, then allowing him to resume his role as a enforcer of the God Realm.

The other God Kings, while silent, all seemed to be watching the drama unfold, subtly looking down on Tang San, leaving him speechless and vowing to regain his honor.

As the dignified Asura God, an enforcer of the God Realm, imprisonment was unacceptable. After some discussion, they jointly decided that Tang San, having violated regulations by descending to the mortal realm and interfering in its affairs, would have his enforcement scope redefined. For the time being, he was required to enforce the law entirely within the God Realm and was forbidden from leaving to interfere in the mortal realm again.

Especially since Wang Xiaofei had already stated that this was a one-time exception, if Tang San were to return to the mortal realm and be caught again, he might never be able to return. Although Phoenix God King Xiaofei is easy to talk to, it doesn't mean he'll tolerate Tang San repeatedly. If he were to act first and ask for permission later next time, then the God Realm would truly have no enforcers.

Secondly, there's the issue of Tang San's role as the Asura God. Although Tang San is still a God King, he's only level 120, and his reputation in the God Realm has already collapsed. Everyone avoids him like the plague, fearing a conflict with this new Asura God, which would leave him in a difficult position.

Of course, the gods also looked down on Tang San. These gods of the God Realm had all spent tens of thousands of years there, possessing vast experience. A law enforcer without power was like a toothless tiger. They might address him as "Lord Asura God" when they needed to, but simply call him Tang San when they didn't, since Tang San couldn't possibly defeat them.

Moreover, the gods of the God Realm also had spheres of influence, and most were backed by God Kings, so they weren't afraid of Tang San's retaliation.

As a result, Tang San had virtually no authority in the God Realm and couldn't gain any followers. Even those gods who had already agreed to pass on their godhood to their friends no longer paid any attention to Tang San; they wouldn't give him any face now.

In the original story, so many Shrek Academy members became gods; it's hard to believe that just eating immortal herbs gave them the aptitude for godhood. These immortal herbs weren't new to Douluo Continent; how could it be so simple?

In terms of aptitude and strength, who could compare to Tang Chen of the Clear Sky Sect? Even Golden Crocodile Douluo's aptitude is likely far superior to the Shrek Seven Devils. After all, he's the only Title Douluo to reach level 98 without passing the Divine Trial—a feat seemingly unique in the entire Douluo Continent.

However, all of this was probably orchestrated by Tang San behind the scenes. The gods of the God Realm wanted to retire, and Tang San, as the enforcer of the God Realm, introduced his friends to receive divine inheritance, ultimately leading to the Shrek Seven Devils all becoming gods.

The current situation is that even though the seven members of Shrek have exceptional soul power and talent, they probably can't become gods. They lack the help of the Asura God Tang San, and Wang Xiaofei has practically sealed off Douluo Star. The gods of the God Realm dare not easily set foot on Douluo Star, fearing they might inadvertently follow in Tang San's footsteps and be captured, losing face.

Wang Xiaofei himself is even less likely to help the Shrek Seven Devils; only a fool would aid the enemy in such a way.

Relatively speaking, Tang Hao and Ah Yin fared even worse. They were both preparing to return to Douluo Star, but this incident led to their expulsion back to the God Realm. Their social interactions are now significantly weaker, as both became gods through connections, and their actual strength is vastly different.

The most tragic case is the Clear Sky Sect. Having just emerged from seclusion and recently enjoying considerable success, they were suddenly expelled again, forced to retreat once more. Even Tang Chen, a powerful Limit Douluo, was nearly driven to vomit blood with anger.

The Clear Sky Sect was already forced into seclusion once because of Tang Hao, and now it's being forced to retreat again because of Tang Hao's son, Tang San. The entire sect has been utterly ruined by Tang Hao and his son. One wonders what Tang Hao will think when he sees his grandfather and elder brother again.

After these ten years, the remaining six members of Shrek Academy have essentially taken shape. Becoming gods is impossible for them; they can only protect their respective families and sects.

However, unlike the original story, Ma Hongjun should be able to grow old with Bai Chenxiang, instead of suffering alone in the God Realm as in the original work.

Oscar is probably the most tragic. Even though he became an unprecedented Food-type Title Douluo, without the inheritance of the God of Food, he can't become a god.

Yu Xiaogang, on the other hand, is now a white-haired old man. Without the Ninth-Rank Purple Ganoderma, he'll only ever reach level twenty-nine. He no longer possesses the imposing aura of a high-ranking official as the National Preceptor of the Heaven Dou Empire, nor the spirited demeanor he displayed in the Soul Master Competition finals. He's just an ordinary white-haired old man, perhaps only able to slowly await his death.

He'll likely never stir up any more trouble until his death; a mere thirty years have taken everything from him.
