Chapter 32 - [32] The Investigation

After Tsubaki's explanation, Tetsuya recalled something that had happened recently.

"Tsubaki-senpai, it really wasn't me."

Tetsuya said, "When the rumors first started, someone approached me to write a program."

A cold glint flashed in Haruto's eyes. "What kind of program?"

"It's just a script, mainly for IP proxying, automatic account creation, auto-replying, and auto-posting."

Tetsuya honestly confessed everything.

He never expected that his proud networking skills would be exploited by someone else, landing him in such a miserable situation.

"Do you know who contacted you?"

Tetsuya shook his head. "No, they reached out via email."

"So just one email, and you agreed to write the program for them?"

"No, they sent an upfront payment first. After I emailed the program, they paid the remaining balance."

"Do you still have the transaction records?"

Tetsuya hesitated. Of course, he had the records—but he wasn't eager to share them.

"What?" Haruto threatened. "After all this, you still want to hide things?"

Gritting his teeth, Tetsuya decided to lay it all out.

At this point, he'd already exposed most of it anyway.

"I can provide the transaction records, the email exchanges with that person—hell, I can even help you investigate."

Tetsuya lowered his voice. "But I have one condition."

"Let's hear it."

"Pretend you never heard the things I confessed earlier."

Haruto remained expressionless, subtly glancing at Akeno and Tsubaki.

He had no interest in playing the hero—when he'd been tormented by the "cuckold protagonist template," no one had stepped in to help him.

After exchanging a few silent looks, Tsubaki spoke. "Now that we know, the student council can't just ignore it."

Tetsuya fell silent, his face darkening.

"However, I can guarantee your actions won't be exposed."

His expression eased slightly. "Will I be expelled?"

Tsubaki gave him a sharp look. "Since you're asking, I assume what you did was pretty serious."

Tetsuya grimaced. "Vice President, I just stole and sold some private photos online—it's not that bad, right?"

"What about the drugs and stealing underwear?"

Tetsuya hesitated before finally admitting the truth.

The girl he drugged and the one whose underwear he stole were the same.

She was an ordinary student—Tetsuya had been infatuated with her, but she wasn't interested.

After relentless pursuit failed, he resorted to sinister means, drugging her and committing unspeakable acts.

Afterward, he even secretly took her underwear…

Tetsuya had acted covertly, even using supernatural abilities, so the girl still had no idea who had violated her.

Tsubaki and Akeno looked at Tetsuya with disdain, barely restraining themselves from taking action.

As women, they despised such acts.

And they weren't the only ones—Haruto loathed it just as much.

He wondered if the girl had someone she liked. If she did, this was textbook NTR.

And the boy she liked would be the pitiful victim...

Haruto deliberately asked for the girl's name. After confirming she wasn't a character from his memories or someone he knew personally, he suppressed the urge to castrate Tetsuya.

"Scum."

Haruto spat out the word before saying, "We'll deal with this later. We'll find the victim and decide based on her stance."

"Now, hand over the transaction and email records you mentioned earlier. Otherwise, this will spread across Kuoh Academy by tomorrow."

Tetsuya still tried to bargain, but Akeno's expression turned icy as golden lightning flickered in her palm.

"Care to test me?"

Feeling her undisguised killing intent, Tetsuya shuddered and hastily recited his transaction and email accounts, terrified of being struck by that golden lightning.

After some maneuvering, Haruto successfully obtained the suspected mastermind's email and bank account details.

"Tsubaki-senpai, can we trace the real identity behind these accounts?"

"It should be possible." Tsubaki thought for a moment. "Given how sudden this was, that person wouldn't have had the time to deliberately forge two accounts."

"Even if they're fake, I can help you find them."

Tetsuya volunteered, hoping to lessen his punishment.

Haruto shot him a sidelong glance but didn't respond.

Whether or not they needed Tetsuya's help, there was no way he'd remain at Kuoh Academy after what he'd done.

"I'll take him away. Once we confirm the account holder's identity tomorrow, we'll proceed with the next steps."

"I'll go with you. I need to visit the infirmary for treatment."

Haruto left with Tsubaki.

Aside from tending to his injuries, he also wanted to spend more time with her, deepening their bond in hopes of soon obtaining the complete Mirror Alice ability and intermediate devil bloodline.

On the way, Haruto stroked his chin, deep in thought.

There were still two suspects on the list. If the accounts belonged to either of them, the culprit would be confirmed outright.

But if it wasn't someone on the list...

He hoped that wouldn't be the case—otherwise, things would get even more complicated.

After a quick visit to the infirmary, Haruto returned to the Occult Research Club.

His fight with Tetsuya had made him realize his skills weren't as strong as he'd thought.

Bullying delinquents had given him a false sense of superiority.

Forget about taking on that third-year blondie—he'd nearly lost to a fellow first-year.

Aside from acquiring abilities and boosting his magic, he needed to prioritize combat experience and technique.

If Haruto had been more skilled or experienced today, Tetsuya wouldn't have had the chance to unleash his second transformation.

As he entered the clubroom, Haruto immediately spotted a white-haired loli.

After spending so much time around voluptuous beauties like Rias and Akeno Himejima with their ample curves and long legs, suddenly seeing a plain, expressionless loli was impossible to ignore.

"Haruto, perfect timing." Rias's eyes lit up. "I was just about to send Akeno to the infirmary to look for you."

"Why were you looking for me?"

"Of course, to check up on you."

Rias pulled Haruto into her embrace. "You're practically a Servant candidate for me now. As your master, how could I just leave you alone?"

Feeling the softness pressing against his cheek, Haruto thought for a moment and decided not to resist.

If this was the treatment he got before even becoming her Servant, then if he actually did, sharing a bed might not be out of the question.

Haruto vaguely recalled that this was a unique trait of the Gremory family—their emotionally rich nature made them exceptionally affectionate toward their Servants.

Rias's older brother, the current Demon King Lucifer, had married his first Servant, Grayfia, the Queen.

Haruto steeled his resolve and indulged—no, struggled for a while before finally freeing himself from Rias's suffocating embrace.

If this continued, he was afraid he might not be able to hold back and would nod in agreement to becoming Rias's Servant.
