Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: You Were The Best Kind Of Distraction

"Noelle…" His voice cracked against her ear, full of restraint and need in equal measure.

When Ren finally enter her, Noelle gasped as she felt his cock filled her so fully and deeply. He rocked against her slowly, deliberately, his weight pressing her into the mattress without smothering her, just enough to make her heart race.

She arched into him, answering with a desperate kiss, her legs tightening around his waist, urging him closer. The momentum built, rocking, unsteady, charged with a promise they both felt but hadn't yet broken into.

Every shift, every press of their bodies drew them tighter, higher, until the line between teasing and surrender blurred into something heady and unstoppable. There was only Ren with the weight of him above her, the warmth of his breath against her skin, the low growl of her name as if he couldn't get enough. His lips returned to hers, hard, then soft, then teasing until she was half laughing, half groaning into the kiss, unable to catch her breath.

Their bodies were pressed together, breaths mingling, hearts racing in perfect sync. Each touch, each brush of skin, sent sparks of heat through them, their closeness blurring the line between comfort and desire. Noelle's hands threaded through Ren's hair, chanting his name as Ren worked his body, entering her over and over again.

Ren held her just as tightly, his forehead resting against hers, eyes half-lidded, tracing the curve of her face as if committing it to memory. "I've never felt… like this with anyone," he murmured, his voice a low, shivering whisper.

Ren whispered, "Tell me you want this too," as his fingers entwined with hers pulling her hands over her head.

She pulled him back to her mouth, breathless, trembling, but sure. "I want you," she whispered into his kiss.

And with that, the night burned hotter, every touch and sigh drawing them deeper into the fire they had been stoking for far too long. Noelle pressed closer, letting the warmth of him seep into her, feeling a thrill in the slow, deliberate rhythm of their movements. Every laugh, every whispered word, every heartbeat shared between them wrapped them in a world that felt only theirs until she panted, "Ren.. I'm coming..."

With that, following her cries of ecstasy, Ren finally released his resolve and followed her to the peaks of crescendo.

The quiet after was almost dizzying. Noelle still felt the heat of their closeness lingering in her chest, a tender ache that made her fingers curl instinctively around his. Their fingers remained intertwined long after they had stopped moving, as if neither could bear to let go. Noelle leaned her head lightly against his shoulder, breathing in the quiet rhythm of his presence. The room felt warmer, softer and somehow safer, even though the world outside carried on as usual. They stayed like that for a while, saying nothing, letting the comfort and closeness of ten interlocked fingers carry more meaning than words ever could.

Eventually, they sat side by side on the edge of the bed, legs lightly brushing, hands intertwined, and neither seemed in a hurry to break the connection.

Ren's thumb moved in lazy circles over the back of her hand, a small gesture that made her pulse skip. "You okay?" he asked softly, voice husky in the low light.

Noelle smiled, her cheeks warm, eyes downcast. "Yeah… I'm… more than okay," she admitted, a whisper that felt both brave and shy. She let herself rest against his shoulder, feeling the steady strength of him beneath her.

He leaned closer, nudging his forehead to hers. "I—uh… I just want you to know," he said, hesitating as if choosing the right words mattered more than anything else in the world, "that this… you… it's all I want. No one else. Just us."

Her heart fluttered at the honesty in his tone. "I know," she murmured, tightening her grip on his hand. "I just… get a little scared when it all feels so intense. But I'm glad it's you."

Noelle lifted her head, eyes meeting his. "Thank you… for being patient with me," she said softly.

Ren's lips curved into a small, contented smile. "Always," he whispered. Then, leaning in, he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, lingering just long enough to make her shiver and melt at the warmth of him.

The room was quiet, but it was a full, rich kind of quiet, kind of like the calm after a storm, where every heartbeat, every touch, and every glance held the promise of more, yet nothing needed to be rushed. Their hands interlaced, breathing in the closeness, savouring the aftermath of what they'd shared.

For Ren, it was the confirmation that the connection they shared was something rare, fragile and utterly his to cherish. Thinking about this, Ren happily fell asleep.

Ren shifted awake with a small groan, burying his face briefly in the crook of her neck. "Morning," he murmured, his voice thick with sleep but threaded with warmth.

"Morning," she replied, her own voice soft, almost breathless. Her hand lingered in his, squeezing lightly.

He rolled onto his back slowly, letting her hands drift across his chest as if checking that he was really there, alive, and hers. "You're… still warm," he teased gently, a half-smile tugging at his lips. "Are you trying to leave me alone here…"

Noelle laughed quietly, brushing her fingers through his hair. "Not a chance," she whispered, leaning her forehead against his. "You were the best kind of distraction."

Ren chuckled, brushing his thumb over her knuckles, letting his hand rest over hers. "Best kind, huh? That's a pretty high compliment." His eyes sparkled with that mischievous light she'd come to adore.

Eventually, the two of them reluctantly disentangled, though their hands stayed linked as they moved toward the kitchen. Ren pulled her gently toward him, letting her lean against his side as they fumbled to get breakfast together. They moved around the small space in perfect sync, spooning cereal and sipping juice, exchanging quiet glances and soft smiles.

As they settled down at the table, Ren leaned slightly forward, voice teasing but low. "So… last night, you survived me. Breakfast without collapsing… are you sure you're okay?"

Noelle smirked, cheeks flushing. "I'm fine," she said, though her glance lingered on him, aware of the way he seemed to fill every corner of the room, commanding attention without saying a word. "But you… need to behave today. Don't get any ideas before I finish my juice."

He leaned in, pressing a light kiss to the back of her hand that rested on the table, smirking as she shivered slightly. "Oh, I can behave… for now," he murmured, letting the words hang like a promise.

The morning stretched lazily, filled with quiet teasing, soft touches and glances that spoke louder than words. Noelle realised that the thrill wasn't just in the night before: it was in these small, ordinary moments too, the way he looked at her, the way their hands found each other naturally, the way her heart leapt at the brush of his fingers.

And Ren, for his part, never let go of her hand, never let the sense of intimacy fade. Every gesture, every laugh, every shared look was a reminder that what they had was theirs.

By the time the sun climbed higher, Noelle felt the kind of contented warmth that stayed even when the world outside began to pull at them.

They had just finished lunch when Ren's phone buzzed on the table. Noelle noticed the way his expression shifted as he read the message. Something tight flickering across his features as he frowned ever so slightly before he quickly schooled it away.

He slid the phone back into his pocket, already rising from his seat.

"Hey, I've got to run," he said, almost too casually.

"Run? Where to?" Noelle asked, blinking at him in surprise.

Ren leaned down, pressing a quick kiss to her temple. "There's something to handle back home. I'll explain later, promise. Don't worry."

And then he was gone, threading swiftly through the crowded cafeteria and out the doors before she could press further.
