Chapter 10 - Ashborn Isolation Chamber

Currently, the world Gray transmigrated into has seven continents, and each of the seven continents is ruled by a different race.

The continent Gray transmigrated to is the Human Continent. It consists of several kingdoms and the Ataraxia Empire. Gray is in the Ataraxia Empire.

On the eastern side of the Human Continent lies the Elf Kingdom, hidden deep within the ancient forests. Many nature-loving races live there.

At the South Pole stood the Ice Land, where many tribal people lived.

To the west, high above the land, floated islands where the mighty Dragon race lived.

Their sky islands were called Drak'Xiun, also known as the Empire of Ashen Wings.

But out of the seven continents, one was vast enough to cover half the world. It was a sealed-off place that no one could enter. It was ruled by Demon Kings and Soulborne monsters.

That continent is called The Chasm: Graveyard of Madness.

Even the strongest of the Human continent couldn't last a day in that place. It was so ominous that all they could do was feel despair. That's why it's called the Graveyard of Madness. That means even madness fell to its knees before that continent.

Moreover, The Human continent's Ataraxia Empire shared a border with that place.

And at the shaky edge of the boarder, a family had stood guard for many generations.

They were the Northern family, called the Ashborn Family.

Gray and the left guardian took a carriage and arrived here, at the border of the Chasm: Graveyard of Madness.

"Wooa.." Gray exclaimed. The border that separated the Chasm from the other six continents was a huge black wall. The wall was so massive that it reached the clouds.

From the look of it, it seemed unbreakable. Historians deduced it was made from materials from outer space.

Moreover, there were warriors here and there. They were the border guards from the Ashborn family.

As they saw Gray, they bowed their heads from the positions they were stationed at.

Gray bowed back in return.

After walking a bit, they reached an entrance that was built into the border wall.

"This is the Ashborn Isolation Chamber," the left guardian said.

"...Is that so..." Gray said in a low voice. He had expected it to be similar to the isolation chamber from his previous life, but this one was truly ominous.

The entrance door had many talismans placed on it, as if sealing something powerful.

The guards stationed at the chamber entrance removed the ominous talismans and then unlocked multiple locks on the huge door.

Then they pulled the door with all their might, gritting their teeth. From their expressions, it was clear just how heavy the door was.

Grooon....

Just as the door was slightly opened, a quest window popped up.

Ding!

[Main Quest 01]

[Heir of the Heaven Conqueror]

[Scenario: The Heaven Conqueror built this isolation chamber for the destined one. Take the relics before the destined one and become the destined one of this era.]

[Reward: A Celestial Contract]

[Failure Penalty: None]

"Whooa..." Gray exclaimed. This was his first time receiving a main quest. Moreover, the content was both unique and vague at the same time.

'Haa... the system needs to explain more.'

He was also intrigued by the figure named Heaven Conqueror, but there wasn't much information.

'And what is this destined one and relic stuff?'

Well, unless he entered the chamber, he wouldn't find out. Though the chamber was ominous, he now felt an urge to quickly enter.

Just then, the left guardian spoke,

"Young master, are you okay?"

"Ah... yes. I'm okay." Gray's response was shallow. He was more focused on the main quest.

"Then, are you entering now?" the left guardian asked.

Gray nodded at his words and slowly walked inside the Isolation Chamber.

After he entered the Isolation Chamber, the guards pushed hard on the door and closed it. They also placed those talismans on the door.

Meanwhile, the left guardian was feeling uneasy. The chamber was said to hold the greatest relic under heaven, but danger also lurked at every corner. He felt it was reckless to send a boy at the Sword Expert realm into such a dangerous place.

"What is the Patriarch thinking?" the left guardian clicked his tongue inwardly.

* * *

After entering through the entrance, Gray reached a large field-like space.

"So this is the isolation chamber."

The room was dimly lit by pearl-like orbs embedded in the ceiling. There were also training equipment and a water channel for his survival.

In a corner, there were bags of dry food balls. Gray took one of the balls and bit into it.

"Egggh..." Gray spat out the ball he had just eaten. It was bitter, and the taste was like rotten fish. "I have to eat this while I stay here.Tsk..." Gray clicked his tongue.

Fortunately, he at least brought his supplements that improve his manhood's health.

Then, his eyes fell on a door in that isolation chamber. It wasn't the one he had entered through.

Moreover, The door had been carved into the form of a demon's face. and there were sword marks on it, evidence that someone had tried to break the door but failed.

But what surprised Gray was that an ominous dark mana was seeping out of it.

Feeling intrigued, Gray approached the door. After inspecting it, he deduced that the door was made of the same material as the huge border separating the Chasm and the Ashborn family.

Moreover, He realized he had to break it. Other than that door, the isolation chamber was normal, so his quest had to be related to the mana behind it.

He grabbed a sword from his system inventory and slashed at the door.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

He struck with full force, but it didn't even leave a mark.

"It seems I'm way too weak. Well, it was expected." He knew he couldn't break it with his current strength but tried anyway.

But fortunately, at his whim, he triggered the system window.

Ding'

[Faint Abyssal Energy Detected]

[The door requires Abyssal energy]

[Inject it with your Abyssal energy]

"Hmmm... Abyssal energy?" Gray heard the name for the first time.

Ding'

[Place your hand on the door]

Gray didn't understand, but as instructed, he placed his hand on the indestructible door .

Just then,

Ding!

[Injecting Abyssal Energy into the Door]

Whuuummmm..... whooooshhh....
