Crystal froze in shock. She pressed her rapidly beating chest and asked, "Won, you say? How is that possible?"
Luna, standing beside her, blinked in confusion.
'Won? Did we really win the war?' she asked incredulously.
Joy burst inside her, but she didn't dare jump to conclusions. She waited quietly for Crystal's confirmation.
"That's right, Your Majesty," the leader's voice came again. "We have detained fifty thousand soldiers from the Holy Kingdom of Aldoria. Another fifty thousand were killed by our troops. Even so, we have also suffered many casualties."
"Twenty thousand of our soldiers died, and another ten thousand were wounded. But victory is still ours."
Crystal fell silent, unsure how to react. When she had just awakened, she thought her kingdom had already fallen.
She had even given up, ready to surrender if Gabriel appeared before her.
