Merlin and the three girls turned around. Standing there was a short elf girl with blonde hair and striking light green eyes.
"Monica?" Merlin exclaimed in surprise, then smiled. "What's going on? Do you need something from me?"
Noticing the familiarity in his voice, Luna, Margaret, and Catrine exchanged wary glances.
Monica bit her lower lip and cast a shy glance at the three beautiful girls beside him.
Admittedly, they were all so stunning that she couldn't help but feel a little inferior.
Still, she quickly composed herself and said, "Yes, I need your help. But if you're busy, I understand."
She started to turn and run, but Merlin quickly called after her.
"Wait! Just tell me what you need. I'll help you."
Monica paused, then turned back toward him, her expression timid.
"Are you sure it's okay?" she asked.
Merlin nodded, folding his arms across his chest.
"As long as I can help, why not?"
Monica felt a wave of relief and delight at his words.
