'Huh, the interface looks similar to the system I had before,' Victor thought. He already knew that levels were just indicators of how close someone was to breaking into the next Tier. It was just like in the cultivation novels he used to read—Tiers were like cultivation realms, and levels indicated how close one was to a breakthrough.
'At least I won't be stuck in Tier 0 until I pass the trials,' Victor thought with relief. From what he knew, everyone started in Tier 0, and to surpass it a person needed to become a Ranker. If you failed, you would remain stuck in Tier 0 no matter how talented you were or how powerful your bloodline might be. Without a connection to the Records, it was useless.
Then his eyes narrowed when he noticed his bloodline name was marked with question marks. He didn't dwell on it too much and instead opened the Skill Tab to see what abilities he had gained.

[ Akasha Eye ]
[ Rank: Mythical ]
[ Description: A pupil technique that allows the user to check the details of living and non-living things. It also enables the user to learn almost anything instantly. ]
'Holy shit!' Victor's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he saw the Rank of the technique. It was even higher than Legendary Rank—and the description left him even more stunned.
Victor turned his head and used his technique on Amanda.
[ Too weak to view target ]
"I should have expected that," Victor muttered with a sigh.
"Did you say something?" Amanda frowned as she looked at him.
Screech
Victor looked toward the sound and saw a flock of crows with a single red horn on their foreheads heading straight for them. He quickly used the Akasha Eye on them.
[ One-Horned Crow ]
[ Rank: F ]
[ Description: These crows are three times faster than a normal human. They use their horn to pierce their targets, and their horns can easily penetrate thick reinforced metal walls. ]
'Shit…' Cold sweat trickled down Victor's forehead as he felt the pressure from them.
Woosh
A wave of fire shot out from beside Victor, instantly burning the entire flock to ashes. He turned his head and saw Miss Amanda, who was looking at him nonchalantly.
"You became intimidated just by these weak beasts? If you had your memories, you would have wanted to dig a hole in shame. With your previous strength, you could have killed them effortlessly, just like me," Amanda said with a sigh as she glanced at Victor.
Victor wanted to say something but kept his mouth shut.
'I know… If I still had my strength from before regression, I could have dealt with even B Ranks with ease,' Victor thought bitterly as he followed Miss Amanda, who continued walking out of the city while burning down monsters that dared to attack them.
Amanda suddenly halted her footsteps and looked up at the sky with a frown on her beautiful face.
'What's wrong with the moon? Could it be the reason for the sudden Dungeon Break?' Amanda thought as she stared at the blood-red moon, which was shining far too brightly tonight. Not only that, but she could feel an intense amount of mana being ejected from it.
"Miss Amanda, what's wrong?" Victor asked when he noticed her suddenly stop.
"Nothing. The moon is just emitting too much mana all of a sudden," Amanda replied nonchalantly.
'Hiss… could it really be my fault?' Victor thought. The moon had started glowing when the Akashic Records were connecting to him. If this phenomenon really was as Miss Amanda suspected, then he had indirectly caused this disaster. Even if it wasn't intentional, he still felt a pang of guilt.
"Could the Dungeon Break be because of this?" Victor asked. Amanda's eyes widened slightly as she looked at him.
"Oh, not bad, Victor—you've become smarter," Amanda said with an amused expression.
'Sigh… so it really might have been my fault, huh,' Victor thought bitterly as he kept walking.
"By the way, Victor, why did you ask about the Primogenitor Bloodline at the information center?" Amanda asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Eh, you know…" Victor replied nervously, sweat forming under her glare.
"Of course I know. The person in charge reported it to me, and I had to convince him not to mention it to anyone else," Amanda said with a snort.
"Oh? How did you do that?" Victor asked curiously.
"You wouldn't want to know," Amanda replied with a cold smile that sent a shiver down his spine.
"By the way, Miss Amanda, do you know where I could find more information on the tower? I can't believe that, despite the tower being over a million years old, there's so little information about it," Victor asked with a curious yet disappointed look on his face.
"There is—on the upper floors. You'll have to wait until you climb the tower. Moreover, you're wrong about something," Amanda said, causing Victor to raise an eyebrow.
"About what?" Victor asked.
"The tower isn't a million years old. It only appeared a few thousand years ago," Amanda said, causing Victor's eyes to widen in surprise.
"But—" Victor started, but Amanda cut him off.
"The tower appeared only a few thousand years ago, and people began awakening bloodlines at the same time," Amanda explained, making Victor frown.
"But that's not the same as the information I read," Victor said, confused. Amanda smirked in response, sending a chill down his spine and making him feel that something bad was about to happen.
"Of course not. The true history was altered by powerful rankers who lived for thousands of years. At that time, only a few attempted to climb the tower, and most were mortals. Do you really think history couldn't be rewritten?" Amanda said coldly. Cold sweat trickled down Victor's forehead.
"Hey, hey, Miss Amanda… is it wise for you to tell me this? If this gets leaked, wouldn't I be hunted?" Victor asked nervously.
"Of course. You'd be hunted anyway since you have the Primogenitor bloodline, so it doesn't make a difference," Amanda replied with a shrug. Victor wanted to cry, but no tears came out.
"Also, you should know this: before the tower appeared, the very first Primogenitor arrived. It's said that back then, the world was much larger. But the Primogenitor struck some kind of deal with the Akashic Records and divided the land, using those divided lands to create the tower," Amanda said, making Victor's eyes widen in disbelief.
"What? Why would he do something like that?" Victor asked curiously.
"How would I know? No one does. After that event, the first Primogenitor vanished, and the other rankers manipulated history," Amanda said with another shrug.
"I see," Victor muttered, but then his footsteps halted when he saw something that made him clench his fists.
