Chapter 154 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 154: Heaven-Rending Claws Unleashed—Loki’s Miserable End

"Tear him apart!"

At Loki's command, the three mass-produced Midgardsormr dragons let loose a thunderous roar and lunged.

Shuo didn't even blink. With a flick of his wrist, the Chains of Heaven snapped out, binding all three serpents in a heartbeat.

No hesitation.

He drew Excalibur, closing the distance in a blur.

The holy sword flashed upward—then, point-blank, he unleashed a beam of pure, golden annihilation.

"BOOM!!!"

The world split open.

A pillar of light carved a swath through the palace, vaporizing everything in its path.

The three Midgardsormr didn't even manage a final scream. Their bodies were pierced clean through, collapsing in lifeless heaps.

Loki's face turned ashen, fists trembling in fury.

"Bastard!"

He gritted his teeth, rage boiling over.

"Fenrir! Kill him—now!"

Magic circles bloomed at Loki's feet, unleashing a storm of blue, spectral arrows.

They rained down in waves, hammering the ground where Shuo stood.

Explosions ripped through the air, fire and smoke billowing skyward.

But Shuo didn't bother dodging.

He stood his ground, letting the barrage wash over him—attacks strong enough to obliterate a Satan-class being, shrugged off like summer rain.

Amid the chaos, Fenrir struck.

The God-Slaying Demon Wolf became a blur of motion, its massive form reduced to a streak of greenish light.

Only the sharpest eyes could even trace its path.

But Shuo tracked it perfectly.

Steel met fang—sparks exploded as Fenrir's legendary jaws clamped down on Excalibur.

The wolf's fangs, forged to slay gods, scraped against the holy blade, leaving only shallow grooves.

Fenrir was a world-class monster, but Loki's restraints kept its true power in check.

Even with its god-slaying aura, it couldn't break Excalibur.

Loki's eyes went wide with disbelief.

Impossible. Fenrir's fangs… blocked?!

But the old god recovered quickly, barking orders.

"Sköll! Hati! Help your father—tear that brat apart!"

The two smaller demon wolves howled, launching themselves at Shuo.

He barely spared them a glance.

The sky shifted—red clouds washed away by golden brilliance.

Ripples of light spread overhead, covering the palace in a shimmering dome.

"Gate of Babylon."

Treasures rained from the heavens—blades, spears, axes, each one humming with lethal power.

They tore through the air, impaling the two lesser wolves before they could even reach their target.

Their agonized howls echoed through the barrier.

And yet, somehow, they clung to life—bloodied, but not yet dead.

Shuo arched a brow, faintly impressed.

So they inherited Fenrir's magical resistance. Tough pups.

His lips curled into a smile. Magic surged around him, the golden light intensifying until the very air seemed to warp.

The Gate's onslaught grew fiercer, every strike a promise of destruction.

In a heartbeat, it was over.

Blood mist burst in the air—the two wolves, already on the brink, were obliterated.

Loki stared, slack-jawed, sweat beading on his brow.

That display of force—he could feel death breathing down his neck, even from the sidelines.

"Impossible… How can he be this strong?!"

Regret twisted Loki's gut.

He still had Fenrir, but didn't dare release its full power.

Unleashed, Fenrir would attack anything—even its own master.

While Loki hesitated, Shuo's aura surged higher.

One swing—Fenrir was sent flying, crashing against the barrier with a pained yelp.

Shuo fixed Loki with a predatory smile.

"I hear Fenrir's the infamous God-Slaying Wolf. Lucky for me, I brought my own god-slaying weapon. Why don't you see how it feels?"

He sheathed Excalibur, raising his right hand.

Magic twisted, condensed, and his arm transformed—black claws, wreathed in swirling energy, radiating an aura that made the air itself shudder.

Sirzechs and Azazel exchanged uneasy glances.

"What… what ability is that?"

Even from a distance, the oppressive force of Shuo's Heaven-Rending Claws sent chills down every spine.

Azazel's eyes widened in shock.

"That's not just divine… It's a god-slaying aura!"

Odin and the others were speechless.

How many trump cards does this kid have?

Loki's bravado vanished, replaced by naked terror.

What kind of artifact is that? How can it have a god-slaying aura?!

All he wanted now was to run.

He fumbled for an escape—ordering Fenrir to break the barrier, hoping for any chance to flee.

But Shuo moved first.

A single swipe—

Blood sprayed.

Loki's body split cleanly in half, collapsing to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.

"Pathetic."

Shuo looked down at the corpse, voice cold, utterly unmoved.

Loki's eyes, wide and glassy, stared up at him—full of disbelief, regret, and bitter, bitter defeat.

Odin sighed, shaking his head.

"I warned you, Loki. Why couldn't you just listen?"

A Satan-class god, thinking a single Fenrir would be enough to challenge the Biblical factions.

He'd dug his own grave.

For Shuo, killing Loki was no surprise—any leader present could have done it.

But Shuo was in a league of his own.

He could stand toe-to-toe with the Red Dragon God Emperor.

As Loki's remains hit the floor, the system chimed in Shuo's mind.
