Shuo Nangong lingered by the bedside for a moment, watching Shizuka Hiratsuka sleep—her hair tousled across the pillow, her breathing soft and slow. He let himself drift in thought.
A new war. New rules, new stakes.
Guess I'll need to practice my "drifting" skills, he mused wryly. After all, he'd only just gotten his license—both on the road and in life.
He left Shizuka to her dreams and made his way to the living room, where Gabriel was quietly reporting something to Little Saint.
"Perfect timing, Shuo," Little Saint called, waving him over. "The World Conference is in two days. As the main character, you're expected to show up."
Before he could answer, the system's voice crackled in his mind:
Ding! EXE World evil gods detected preparing to invade this world. Highest-level sign-in mission triggered: Eliminate the invading enemies!
…What?
Evil gods. Here. Already?
Shuo's heart hammered in his chest. He'd expected the invasion to be decades away—but thanks to his interference, the timeline had been thrown into chaos.
So be it. If fate's going to speed things up, I'll just settle everything at this World Conference.
He nodded to Little Saint, decision made.

The day of the World Conference arrived—hosted by the Three Great Factions of the Bible.
Heaven itself was the venue, and nearly every pantheon's top gods had gathered.
Four Devil Kings from the Underworld.
Azazel, Governor-General of the Fallen Angels, with Shemhazai and Baraqiel at his side.
Odin and Thor from Norse myth, Zeus and Athena from Greece, Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu from India.
From Mount Sumeru, Indra and the original Sun Wukong.
Egypt's Ra and Shu.
Kyoto's Yasaka, the Dragon Kings, and a parade of monsters and legends.
Heaven's own hosts—Michael and the seraphim—presided over the proceedings.
The great hall of the celestial temple overflowed with gods, devils, monsters, and dragons, each group murmuring about the agenda.
"Michael, where is the God of the Bible?" Shiva—appearing as a sharp-eyed youth—demanded. "Is she not joining us?"
Zeus gave a sly grin. "Her sudden return to the Three Realms is thanks to that Shuo Nangong, isn't it? Don't tell me you're waiting for him. This just gets more interesting."
The other gods and faction leaders exchanged wary glances.
But Sirzechs, Azazel, and their allies seemed utterly unruffled.
Indra, too, looked on with calm detachment—he still remembered the day Shuo Nangong had flattened Cao Cao.
Michael only smiled. "My Lord has her own arrangements. Please be patient, everyone."
Just then, the doors swung open. Four figures entered, and every head in the room turned.
Gabriel led the way. But the others—each a living legend:
Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God.
The God of the Bible herself.
And at the front, the man who haunted every god and devil's nightmares—Shuo Nangong.
The weight of their presence pressed down on the entire assembly.
This was no ordinary summit.
The reason for the World Conference was dire: Sirzechs, Azazel, Michael, and Odin had staked their reputations on a warning—a threat to the very survival of their world.
Even so, the sight of the God of the Bible and Ophis following Shuo's lead left many gods unsettled.
After the trio took their seats, Zeus finally broke the silence, his gaze wary.
"Now that we're all here, God of the Bible, can you explain this existential crisis you summoned us for?"
The God of the Bible's expression was serene. "For this meeting, I suggest Shuo Nangong speak for us."
All eyes locked onto Shuo.
He stood, voice steady. "Very well. I'll lay it out for you."
He swept the room, meeting the gaze of gods and monsters alike.
"There are worlds beyond our own. For clarity, let's call ours the DxD World. Right beside us is the EXE World—and they're about to invade."
A ripple of unease passed through the chamber.
"I can see the future. The invaders from EXE are monsters—so powerful that even the True Red Dragon God Emperor was beheaded with ease by one of their evil gods."
He paused, letting the words sink in.
Then, with practiced clarity, he laid out everything he knew from his previous life.
Shock spread like wildfire.
"Another world… invading?"
"The True Red Dragon God Emperor—killed?!"
"Did I hear that right?!"
Even the most battle-hardened gods looked shaken. If what Shuo said was true, the threat was unprecedented.
Shiva's voice cut through the stunned silence. "Shuo Nangong—are these evil gods truly that terrifying?"
At this point, few doubted him. The evidence—the God of the Bible's endorsement, Shuo's own feats—was too overwhelming to ignore.
Shuo nodded. "Here's what we're up against."
He outlined the enemy's forces:
Three main gods: Melvazoa the Evil God (strongest), Regalzeva the Demon God, and Seraselbes the Magic God.Demon God's subordinates: Keito and Tenkai, both on par with the Red Dragon God Emperor. Each commands five evil peerage members—main god to Satan-class.Evil God's peerage: The Qlippoth Seven Luminaries. Their leader outclasses the Red Dragon God Emperor; the other six are main god-level. Each of the seven commands four generals, ranging from Satan-class to Dragon King-class.Magic God's peerage: Five members, details unknown, but at least Satan-class.
He finished, then let his gaze sweep the room once more.
"Now do you understand the gap we're facing?"
For a long moment, no one spoke. Even the God of the Bible, Sirzechs, Azazel—those who'd heard rumors—were pale, silent, cold sweat beading on their brows.
Then the room erupted.
"Wait—this can't be real!"
"The otherworld's power is that overwhelming?!"
"Damn it, how are we supposed to fight that?!"
Despair rippled through the assembly. The weaker gods looked ashen, some slumping in their seats.
Even the strongest among them felt the weight of hopelessness settle on their shoulders.
And in the center of it all, Shuo Nangong watched—resolute, unflinching.
