Chapter 8 Part 2: Family Upheaval and Ambitions
I rolled my eyes.
I flirted with Ling'er, accompanied Lin Mi to ballet class, and in another week, dad's recovery started picking up maybe Yedun's new medicine actually worked! But each time mom visited dad, she brought Yedun along. I guessed Yedun really got off on conquering mom in front of dad. Externally, Qi-Gu Group reinvested another 10 billion into Dongsheng, and several factories began operating, with a steady stream of goods and other stuff flowing into China.
By now, company leadership had shifted from mom to Yedun, and it seemed like mom was gradually just the chairman's wife every time, she agreed with his proposals at the board.
Meanwhile, that 300-jin black Filipino "Smoke Ghost" opened a pharmaceutical company in South China; his tech consultant was, of course, Chu Lanxin, the biochemistry flower among the Five Golden Flowers. Her daughter-in-law, Ning Zhenzhen, became CEO and Smoke Ghost's personal secretary.
No evidence needed I could guess the mother- and daughter-in-law both served the Filipino in bed.
Now with them under his belt, Smoke Ghost's goods began flowing through official channels into China.
Another flower, Chinese Medical Association chair Fang Suxun, didn't seem to care about her husband's feelings, openly flirting with the Vietnamese monkey, Kim Gun, and planning a Traditional Chinese Medicine plantation and pharma business in Vietnam. She left China with Kim Gun, making sure to check on her daughter.
Yedun was busy with public and private business everywhere, he kept cozying up to Aunt Ouyang. But as a military woman, Aunt Ouyang always put her duties first, and wasn't impressed at all by his donations to army units she just slightly improved her attitude.
While in China, both mom and Leng Niang had to treat Yedun as a husband. By now, mom was all but his wife in public, and Leng Niang hadn't let Yedun down either.
After one major high-level meeting, mom and Leng Niang both joined Yedun in bed; the three of them spent the night in a hotel, both voluptuous mature women conquered by Yedun. Leng Niang was a slut deep down. No surprise her daughters weren't even fathered by Uncle Shui. That she'd end up in Yedun's bed didn't shock me or Ling'er. Even Ling'er, after learning the full story, called Yedun "dad" as I did.
But because of her status, Leng Niang couldn't be as open as mom; so Yedun stayed at our home, and though Leng Niang didn't come often, she supported his business efforts unreservedly. She used her official powers as foreign minister to promote Sino-Japanese business.
Aunt Ouyang kept dodging Kim Gun, and now that he'd left China, she could take Lin Mi home openly again. When word got out, Yedun tried wooing Aunt Ouyang and her daughter but she never fell for it. Only for mom and Leng Niang's sake did she bother even tolerating him.
But the most unexpected drama happened when Uncle Lin, usually away on missions, returned home just as Yedun and mom visited Ouyang's house. Learning the Japanese visitor's identity, he tried to beat him up. But mom and Aunt Ouyang intervened just in time. Though Aunt Ouyang despised Japs, the Five Golden Flowers' understanding kept her from flipping her lid. Before leaving, Yedun glared fiercely at Uncle Lin, escorted away by mom.
Everyone thought it was just an incident but nobody realized how vengeful Yedun could be, already starting to plot.
Time slid by. Qi-Gu Group steadily stabilized, dad continued to recover, still needing hospitalization, liable to slip into comas at any time.
Mom changed to a new diamond ring, her old wedding ring with dad nowhere to be found; this new one matched Yedun's a couple's pair. When Yedun's assistant called her "Mrs. Yedun," she acted as happy as a little girl. One time I overheard mom booking a professional wedding photographer was she really planning to remarry?
Behind the scenes, Yedun gradually replaced all the Chinese management in the factories with Japanese, these types all looking like thugs and ruffians, with fierce faces. One was even promoted to the company board a young man, the complete opposite of Yedun in looks, rough but handsome, yet with a sullen, cruel air.
Mom approved everything. When she learned the youth's name Yamaken Nagamaru she treated him with great respect, as he was the biological grandson of Yamainu Daitake!
With Yamainu being elderly and ailing, he sent his grandson to China, likely entrusting him with all affairs.
After his arrival, Aunt Ouyang grew extra cautious, regularly assigning her special forces to monitor all Japanese visitors.
And since I was getting close to Lin Mi, I got caught up as well.
That weekend, as usual, I arranged to meet Ling'er at Lin Mi's house. She wasn't there yet, so I took the flowers I bought Aunt Ouyang might as well be my future mother-in-law.
At the door, I saw a white Porsche no idea the price, but certainly costly. Few could afford such a car in S City. Who could it be?
After ringing the bell and waiting a while, the door opened.
"Mi'er, these are for you." I handed a bouquet to Lin Mi. "You look beautiful today." She accepted them with a conflicted expression.
Today Lin Mi was prim and proper white silk T-shirt, hot pants showing off long, milky legs, fresh and lively.
"Thanks, but today…" She trailed off.
"What? We're still going out, right? Ling'er will be here soon." I walked inside as usual.
Then I saw, on the sofa, a youth with dark, brooding looks handsome, but with a viperish edge.
"Yamaken Nagamaru? Why are you here?" So that Porsche was his, probably bought with our company's money!
"A'tian, you're here?" Aunt Ouyang wore a tight, sleeveless cotton top and yoga pants, her mature, full figure on full display.
Compared with mom and Leng Niang, Aunt Ouyang was firmer and lither, her full breasts and round hips more curvy. Those slightly muscular long legs looked strong and bouncy!
"I was going to invite Mi'er out why are you here?" Yamaken's Mandarin was fluent, and he actually called Lin Mi "Mi-mi"?
"How do you know Mi'er? You know she's my girlfriend, right?" I stood in front of her, handing my flowers to Aunt Ouyang.
"Just days ago, Mi'er was out shopping and saw a gang of students beating up Yamaken. With him being important at your mom's company, she stepped in to help. Since then, he's pestered her non-stop. I explained your situation and made my dislike for the Jap clear, refused countless times." Aunt Ouyang accepted the flowers, poured water, and explained.
Looking at Aunt Ouyang's ample, perky behind, those yoga pants splitting each firm cheek they made my palm itch for a slap!
"Your Qi clan and our Yamaken family have a huge blood feud you know that. I advise you, disappear from my sight, or one day I'll make you die a miserable death." Yamaken rose, much taller than me, and strikingly handsome, but his brutal, cunning gaze ruined the effect.
I ignored him and spoke to Lin Mi, "Just kick him out, right?" Hell, even Yedun got thrown out a few times what's one Yamaken?
Lin Mi pursed her lips and muttered, "Mom says this is a good chance to get close. Before you arrived, she was using pro skills to set him up… says he's a naïve one, easy to fool…"
