Chapter 21 - 021

What was the matter? Why was she emotional?

"Ugh... "

I planned to dive into the dungeon right after this majestic stargazing or environment relishing, but...

After all these... Can I even still go to the dungeon with peace of mind?

Kiezy was not weak. She and her tag-alongs.

Judging from Hara's reaction that time when we got caught fighting, it would seem Kiezy was on some level above her. It was the same for Zetra. The two of them seemed to pay heed to Kiezy's words when getting serious.

That's why... For Kiezy to release tears...

'What could it be that is bothering her?'

Too much for an intangible ruler. I can't even get a grasp of what was happening around the matters of elite knights.

Well, sorry for that. Intangible ruler's goal was to pay heed to the divine order. Of all things, dungeon annihilation was my top priority!

It seems she was not asking for my help either, so...

"Whatever. I'll go to the dungeon and continue with my thorough search for its true nature."

Caught in the serenity of the cool, peaceful night, on the wide roof area on the battlements, I took my leave sauntering towards the gigantic gate as I intended to depart to the adventurers' city.

After having my attire all set, I head to the dorm's roof and then depart for the place.

Shoowg...

Without stopping by at the guild first, I just head directly to the dungeon.

It was midnight so the staff and everyone were probably asleep. Also, there was no reason for me to report that I was in the dungeon. It's not like there would be someone capable of rescuing me if I indeed needed it.

"Now then... "

Standing firm before the entrance of the intimidating dungeon area, I let out a deep breath bracing myself.

"... I will be in the dungeon for a while."

Swoosh...

I affirmed to myself as I swooshed through the dungeon's dark, crystal-lit path.

I arrived at the A-class area.

Wide...

A hefty atmosphere immediately greeted me.

With a blow of chilly ominous wind, I was introduced to the presence of the might of the Class A danger rate place of the dungeon.

"Whoo... (Letting out a breath.) So good. No doubt that low rankers would suffocate in this place. This air is just so tough."

All of the elements that could be found in the A-class area seemed to be raised to another level. If we talk about blow of wind, it was stronger. If we talk about air, it was tighter. If we talk about water, it was colder. Everything here was enhanced. No wonder it was labelled as a new class. And of course, from here deeper, it would seem to be more fierce. Can't wait for myself to get a hold of the area of S-class!

"This is getting interesting."

'Should I spend some time in this area? Or just head directly to the S-class?'

Well, there was no reason for me to stay in here. I should get this job done immediately! Dungeon, I will reduce you to pulp!

Unconcerned with everything, ranks, restrictions, and warnings, I head on and on to the deepest of the dungeon.

"What is it that is lying below in here? What is it that is causing this dungeon to be in existence? I wanna know!"

Without wasting a second, I rushed towards the deepest part of the dungeon.

I was having a glimpse of adventurers on the way as I was gushing off to my destination without delay.

'This could still be in a Class A area. I have to go deeper.'

I wasn't used to the paths so full-speed seemed dangerous for now. Dungeons were also tricky. Being lost will not be a surprise. So I have to deal with this with caution. At this moment... I was slowing down.

...

After a long journey of finding the route for the S-class Area, I finally hit the spot.

"Sigh... Pant... Pant... "

Travelling all over the place was not a problem. But who would have expected that its burden for the mind would be so exhausting?

I was now on a stone hill.

Looking down on a light material built two-story building (Though I wasn't sure if that should be called two-story. The upper floor was just fenced on its edges with tables and chairs placed. It was totally open. Probably just for hanging out or breaks, having tea, and such.), I confirmed that the land past that would be the flashing S-class area.

Those buildings were supposed to be the places where the class area supervisors were staying.

'So this is the end of A-class?'

Well, finding the building wasn't a big deal. I just want to pass by it. It was not like I would report or what. I just want to see if I was really about to enter the S-class area. Better to be sure than to get my hopes up.

...

(Humming... )

"Hmm~ hmm~ hmm~... Hmm~ hmm~... "

Walking leisurely through this cool silvery black solid ground, I passed by the building with a good humming. As I walked, the intense golden color of the atmosphere could just add to the ambiance as it also glows down here, being reflected in this wetland.

I pass by the fresh wooden building.

"Hmm~ hmm~ hmm~... "

"Hey!"

While savoring the moment of my majestic nonchalant walk, a loud call suddenly came to me.

"Huh?"

I turned around in wonder.

Upon seeing the person...

'Ugh... '

I could just get annoyed.

It was the supervisor.

As he was getting close to me, I just stated my reasons.

"I thought it was allowed for A rankers to enter S class? It is the law of the dungeon, right?"

With a deep, unarguable tone, I cut off the supervisor stating my legal reasoning.

"Uhm, yes. It's just... I hadn't heard of you yet. I cannot allow a newbie A rank to enter such a dangerous place. Please reconsider. You have to at least report a win against A-class Divisions."

"..."

I could just get flabbergasted.

I messed up again. I should just have flown directly to the S class. Sauntering alongside this building... How relaxed.

"Sigh... Divisions, right?"

"Huh!? Y-Yes... "

"Seriously... Okay then."

Without any argument, I pass by the supervisor almost carelessly despite his genuine concern.

"I don't have time for this."

I muttered as I sadly withdrew from the scene.

Having myself about several meters away, the supervisor once again called.

"Wait! Why? Can you defeat a division so easily?"

"..."

'Eh? Did that attitude offend him?'

"Ah... No... "

Holding his sword at his waist...

"You can just prove it here, you know?"

"Huh... ?"

I felt guilty. Was my behavior just now that offensive?

From the building, on the upper floor, a man who was comfortably seated with his crossed feet relaxedly placed on the table, got startled upon noticing the scene happening outside.

"Captain!?" - He said surprised.

Also, from the ground floor, an elegant lady who was having the pleasure of having a freshly brewed coffee, had her eyes widened upon turning her sight to our location.

"Eh, Wai... Wha... Why?" - She stuttered frantically.

The man upstairs putting his book aside, and the woman taking a little sip of her coffee, the two both got outside.

["Captain!?"] - They called out worriedly in unison.

'Hey, hey, I was just wanting to go to the S class area, you know? How the heck did that end up like this?' - Amazed by how things have turned out, I could just have those thoughts to myself.

"I am also a guild master, you know? That is at least below general level. Why don't we try this out? You're an official A rank, right?"

"..."

I could just look at him with blank thought.

'Did my attire look so majestic to him that he got this upset?'

"Uh... "

I just can't have a sparring with anyone. They could send me to the castle for a position recommendation if they found out about my power. I also just can't let myself get defeated if at all this match gets inevitable.

Without waiting for my consent, the supervisor powered up; releasing a frail red burst of energy to the sky with sparks of black flashing around it.

"Are you mocking this place, new guy!?"

"..."

"How did you get here without even at least having your presence known to us, supervisors, huh!?"

"..."

"I will understand if you're a general in disguise but I'm sorry I have not seen you before! We cannot allow you to be in danger but most significantly is we can't let you insult our efforts! Feel at least a bit scared when you're in this place, arrogant fool!!!"

"..."

I could just frown.

"Sigh... "

"Hmph!?"

The supervisor drew his sword with a grimacing smirk.

"Did you just let out a breath? I see I was being so boring, huh?"

'Why get so furious over matters this nonsense?'

With my head hanging down, the absurdity of the scene was getting into me.

'What, this level of power outburst is even weaker than Hara's. This place is supposed to be for much much higher level than elite knights, you know!? Then, why...!?'

Lifting my head with my annoyance reigning over my face... (although it wasn't visible because I was being shaded by my hood.) A monstrous presence appeared before them as a very dense, calm, but intense flow of magic power roared up to the wide hopeless golden sky!

ROAAAAARRRR!!!

As if an unknown existence was unleashed from the depths of an abyss, a roar of power audible in fluent but very deep sound has burst out in the beautiful but as if dead sky.

"Cut off your show, kid. I am not playing. It's kill or be killed. This is not a place for games. Shut off your mouth if you don't know your role. You're a lousy dungeon fear promoter."

["...!"]

The people present could just shut their mouths.

The voice they were hearing... Was seemed almost otherworldly.

It was so deep and too serious.

'There is no way... This man is just fooling around... '

Or so of what they have probably thought.
