Eran's gaze followed, lifting his hand slowly where the golden banner pulsed faintly at his touch.
"True," he replied softly. "It does boost mana. But even without the help of the Nexus Core, you already stand as a great potential, Miyu. I can't wait to see what you become."
For a brief moment, her gaze lingered on him, the weight of his words sinking deeper than she expected. Then, without a word further, Miyu leaned closer, brushing her lips against his in a deliberate kiss. The faintest smile curved her mouth when she pulled back, her violet eyes glimmering with pride.
"I'll place out this Core, Eran," she whispered. "At least… to hold back some of my mana."
Eran's gaze lingered on hers for a long breath, then drifted slowly back to the banner crest in her hand, the very one Miyu had just decided to set aside. His lips curved faintly as he spoke.
