Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Cursed Fortress

Setting: Morning, the gurukul**

A distressed man, Narayan, rushed into the gurukul, pleading for help. His son was held captive

by a pishach (demon). Guru Vishrayan sent Agni, Neer, and Saransh to rescue the boy.

In the ruined fortress, Saransh used his memory element to reveal its history—a king betrayed

and murdered, his soul trapped as a pishach. They devised a plan to distract the pishach while

Saransh located the king's remains. The pishach conjured illusions, but Neer broke the spell

with his water element. Agni burned the king's bones, and Saransh chanted mantras, granting

the pishach liberation. The pishach, now at peace, warned Agni and Neer of their difficult path

ahead before vanishing.

The pishach's soul began to dissolve into a divine light, finally free. But before vanishing completely, its gaze locked onto Agni and Neer, its voice echoing like a prophecy in the wind.

"You have freed me, but your own path is shrouded in darkness. Your powers are opposed, yet your destinies are intertwined. Beware... when the final test of fire and water comes, one may have to become the other's sacrifice."

With those ominous words, it vanished, leaving behind a heavy silence and two young men staring at each other—no longer with anger, but with a deep, unspoken fear for the future they were destined to share
