In outer space, near the Earth's orbit where the international space station docked, dozens of scientists in spacesuits were working.
While they were busy, a colossal sight suddenly rose from the Earth below, leaving every astronaut stunned.
"Oh my God… what am I looking at?"
A biologist stared wide-eyed, unable to believe it. Above Earth, an entire country had risen into the sky.
"Marya Falk… is that Sokovia?"
Another scientist squinted at the outlines of the floating city. He immediately recognized it—Sokovia had been torn from the Earth's surface.
"My God… is this still the Earth I know? Aliens, gods, superheroes… and now Sokovia floating into space? This is… this has to be a joke from God."
More than a dozen scientists fell into disbelief, their worldview shattered. Sokovia—an entire city-state—was drifting into space.
Regardless of their shock, Sokovia broke away from Earth's gravity at terrifying speed, ascending into the void.
Just as panic spread among the station crew, the intelligent control system suddenly activated. A familiar figure flickered into existence: a holographic projection of Tony Stark, billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist—and Iron Man.
"Ahem. Guys, I know it looks unbelievable—Sokovia in space, right? But hey, look on the bright side. If New York had flown into the sky instead, you'd all be unemployed."
Even though his armor was battered and his face tired, Tony's trademark sarcasm didn't fade.
"Alright, listen. The Avengers are doing what they can. But because of what's about to happen, you need to be prepared. In about one minute, Sokovia will collide with this station. And when that happens—boom—you'll all be scattered across the cosmos. So while you still can, I've programmed the escape pods. Get in them. Now."
His tone was mocking, but his eyes were deadly serious.
"Run for your lives!"
The scientists' faces turned pale. They sprinted in panic toward the escape pods, climbing inside as alarms blared.
Boom.
The pods jettisoned, streaking away from the station. Moments later, a silent explosion consumed the entire facility in fire.
"Huff… huff… what do we do now?"
Back in Sokovia, the Avengers regrouped. But their numbers were diminished—Hawkeye and Natasha Romanoff were missing. Only Captain America (Steve Rogers), Iron Man (Tony Stark), Thor, Hulk, Falcon (Sam Wilson), and the Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) remained.
All of them looked to the sky with grim expressions. Floating above them was Allens, suspended like an emperor overlooking his domain.
At his side stood Ultron, his Vibranium body now nearly 3.5 meters tall, and Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. Though she hadn't yet awakened her full Chaos Magic, her powers from the Mind Stone were still formidable.
"Sir, I've located the spaceship hidden in orbit."
Ultron's metallic voice carried reverence as data flickered in his eyes. His vast processing power had pinpointed the Skrull vessel.
"Excellent," Allens said coldly. His gaze sharpened. He had no interest in the Avengers now. His true target was the Skrulls—and more specifically, their shapeshifting ability.
"Yes, sir."
Ultron launched himself toward the Avengers, though he wasn't eager to clash with them just yet.
"Activate the energy shield."
At his command, streams of data surged through Ultron's base deep beneath Sokovia. The massive energy barrier covering the entire city snapped shut.
Boom.
The shield sealed tight. Instantly, gravity vanished. Sokovia and everyone on it were cast into the weightless void of space.
The Avengers were thrown outward one by one. Allens calmly raised a psychic barrier, protecting himself and Wanda.
"Roooaaar!"
Hulk could survive in space, but he lacked the ability to fly. With no gravity to anchor him, he drifted helplessly into the dark expanse.
"Hulk! Hulk!"
Tony's face twisted in alarm. His suit could function in space, but he watched helplessly as Hulk—his team's strongest weapon—floated farther away.
Thor, body glowing with divine power, was unaffected by the vacuum. Seeing Hulk drifting, he immediately swung Mjolnir, trying to fly to his aid.
But Allens raised his fist.
"Void Shock."
He punched the air. The space before him shattered with a deafening vibration, revealing a massive Skrull spaceship concealed by cloaking technology.
The shockwave ripped outward. Even the cosmic void couldn't stop its force. Thor, who had flown only a few hundred meters, was sent hurtling backward, while Hulk was flung deeper into space, farther than ever.
"Help… Hulk…"
In the endless darkness, Hulk's massive eyes widened as Sokovia grew distant. For the first time, rage gave way to fear. His face showed confusion—like a child lost in a strange, terrifying place.
Meanwhile, the surviving Avengers floated silently in their armored suits. Not one of them spoke. Hulk—their strongest Avenger—had just been banished to the depths of space, and they could do nothing to stop it.
