Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: You’ve Fallen, I Haven’t

Sound waves are limited by distance and can't surpass the far side of the underground river. What's near the underground river anyway? It's just rats, bugs, pangolins, and snakes—an endless cycle. They've been eating for thousands of years without losing their appetite, simply because they lack thought.

So, the dinosaur-like creatures are still animals. Even though they have limbs similar to humans and walk upright, running on two legs just like humans.

"What kind of creatures are they? Underground People?" I asked, leaning on the wreckage of the elevator.

"What you should be worried about now is how we're getting back up," Bi Shi replied irritably.

"You came down without a rope, so go back up the same way," I said with a grin, shamelessly adding, "Take me with you while you're at it."

"I can't change back now. I need a rope!" Bi Shi said, veins bulging on her forehead, gritting her teeth.
