Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Grafting Isn't Always a Good Thing

The three of them, led by Qinghan, were relatively lucky. This city is like playing a huge adventure game; you never know if the next step will land you in a prison or a river.

After they entered the city, fortunately, they did not alarm more formidable creatures; they were only bitten by harmless but poisonous bats, causing them to be unconscious for a few hours, but it was not fatal.

If they had encountered those things outside, survival would not have been so easy.

Now I understand why Beauty Snake said it's safe to hide here; those creatures that hunt by sight can't find us as long as we stay inside the buildings.

And those that hunt by smell are fooled by the overwhelming odor of bat guano here, which completely masks our scent.

Unless they can fly, ground creatures can't catch flying bats, plus the blood-sucking bats are so small that even if they catch one, it's barely worth eating, so the creatures outside aren't interested.
