Chapter 237 - Chapter 235: Mingzhen

A giant rattlesnake centipede coiled on the cliff, its yellow rugged scales blending seamlessly with the stones, while its soft tail twitched slightly, resembling a plump, juicy caterpillar.

A four-winged moth owl flew in from afar, spotting the tender-looking worm on the cliff at once. The hungry moth owl let out an excited cackle, folded its wings, and dived towards the cliff like an arrow.

Upon seeing a foolish bird taking the bait, the rattlesnake centipede wiggled its tail even more vigorously. It retracted its neck and slightly opened its bloody maw, preparing to swallow the moth owl in one swift move the moment it swooped down.

Just as both the owl and the centipede thought they were about to feast, a loud boom echoed as a large rock fell from the cliff near the centipede. Startled by the noise, the moth owl lost interest in its meal and fluttered away into the distance.
