Julian Fairchild realized that he was surprisingly engaging in a verbal spat, and felt a bit shocked inside.

He disliked this feeling of being out of control.

Maeve Lane saw that Julian wasn't speaking and modulated her voice, "Then you study, I'll sit beside you and won't disturb you."

The handsome man raised an eyebrow at her, habitually furrowing his brows.

Maeve copied him by raising an eyebrow and smiled playfully, "Why do you always like to furrow your brows?"

After saying that, she naturally reached out to smooth out his furrowed brow, half seriously and half teasingly said, "Furrowing your brows doesn't look good."

The delicate and soft fingers touched his forehead, Julian was momentarily stunned, then immediately grabbed Maeve's fair wrist and said coldly, "Don't be handsy."
