Huang Ying's body stiffened, especially upon seeing the look in Lin Yuanyang's eyes. Her expression changed momentarily, her features almost squashing together like a Bao Zi. That lack of aesthetic was thankfully hidden by the night, as Lin Yuanyang hadn't turned on the light.
Lin Yuanyang rubbed his eyes, as though he saw himself, but upon a closer look, it was Ji Ning and the face-rubbing Huang Ying. His sleepy brain immediately woke up a little, with a hint of surprise in his voice, "Sister Ning, you're back?"
Ji Ning nodded slightly.
"Have you eaten? I'll go make dumplings for you."
Without waiting for Ji Ning to reply, he tried to wheel himself into the kitchen to make her a late-night snack.
Huang Ying's features finally returned to place. She glanced at Ji Ning and teased, "You really are popular. Not even recovered, and already thinking about making you a midnight snack."
