Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: It's Not Yet Time to Clip Her Wings

Su Ruan's ears turned red, her small hands resting on Lu Shinian's chest. She turned her head aside, not daring to look at him, and softly said, "No, I just wanted to see your work environment."

Speaking of this, she couldn't help but think of her application to the Second Military University's Logistics Department. She slightly adjusted her expression and said, "I applied for the Logistics Department at the Second Military University."

"So, I wanted to see what the real Logistics Department is like."

Lu Shinian rarely raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Logistics Department?"

"Why did Ruan Ruan think of applying to this department?"

Su Ruan felt a bit guilty, lightly coughed, and said in a small voice, "Well... I just applied casually."

She didn't know what went wrong in her past life that she chose the Logistics Department, even the Ancient Culture Research Department would be better than the Logistics Department!

"Anyway, it's already applied for now." Su Ruan raised her small face, her cheeks showing a faint pink. "I checked, and the Second Military University doesn't allow department transfers in the first year. I still have to study in the Logistics Department, so I wanted to understand it first."

"Okay, I'll take you to see it." Lu Shinian took Su Ruan's small hand and led her outside.

As they passed the training ground, Su Ruan turned her head to glance. On the wide field were neat and orderly soldiers, with cold and majestic Mechas standing on both sides. Just one look, and the oppressive atmosphere was palpable.

Mecha, an interstellar-exclusive combat weapon, can only be piloted by those with a Spiritual Power Level of B or above. For someone like her with a Spiritual Power of E, she could only watch from afar.

Su Ruan just took one look and retracted her gaze, obediently following Lu Shinian to the Logistics Department.

Ten minutes later, the two arrived outside a courtyard. Inside, there were faint noises accompanied by rumbling sounds. The house seemed to be trembling, as if it might collapse any moment.

Su Ruan: ...

This Logistics Department seemed a bit different from what she imagined.

She glanced at Lu Shinian and saw his expression was calm, probably used to such a scene.

"It seems today isn't very convenient." Lu Shinian said in a low voice.

Su Ruan was intrigued, "Not very convenient? Do you know what they're doing?"

"Yes." Perhaps finding this Su Ruan somewhat adorable, Lu Shinian raised his hand, ruffling Su Ruan's hair into a mess, then slowly tidied it up again. "They're testing new weapons."

Speaking of this, Lu Shinian slightly curled his lips, seemingly wanting to pique Su Ruan's interest even more.

"Ruan Ruan, if you join my army in the future, you'll know."

Although he'd rather have Ruan Ruan stay at home, or even obediently stay by his side.

But reason reminded him, the more he wanted to bind her like this, the harder she would struggle, even trying everything to leave him.

And now, it wasn't the time to break her wings.

Of course, he hoped there would never be a day like that.

Lu Shinian's eyes slightly flickered. His large hand moved down to touch Su Ruan's scapula, gently stroking it, his eyes deep and dark.

Su Ruan didn't know what Lu Shinian was thinking; she was genuinely intrigued by his words.

"Weapons? Does the Logistics Department handle that too?"

Lu Shinian made a sound of agreement. Seeing the commotion inside growing, he led her outwards, "We'll find another time to bring Ruan Ruan next time."

This way, he found another opportunity to spend time with her.

Su Ruan was unaware of his little thoughts, and she began to anticipate the Logistics Department where she would soon study.
