In the Qian Family Mansion, a group of elders sat solemnly, gathered together, and maintained an oppressive silence.
A full half-hour of silence lowered the temperature in this luxurious conference room, and in this late autumn season, it didn't take long for frost to form inside the room.
The first to break the silence was the Patriarch, Qian Long.
