Young Red Dragon Kedelos quietly lay in the pit he had dug himself, with only his big red head exposed, covered by torn thick vines and wild grass—an amateur disguise he learned during his solitary wandering days.

It was indeed quite amateurish; he was completely unaware that the two sturdy dragon horns on top of his head had already pierced through the disguise of thick vines and wild grass, protruding like two upside-down, massive carrots.

A few tall trees grew overhead and beside him, and amidst the dense branches perched rows of flying birds.

Among them were ravens, woodpeckers, jays, magpies, sunflower-crested parrots, and other birds considered smart in the avian world.

On another branch stood hawks and kites, which usually feed on ordinary birds; these normally incompatible birds were currently gathered in one place.
