Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Eldest Sister Qin Xuan

This is a strategy Qin Yun has decided on: act first, report later.

"Both Dad and Mom are very stubborn, especially Mom. She would never agree to me opening a clothing store, so I have to set it up first and then tell them," Qin Yun thought to himself.

His parents are straightforward people who never considered going into business. They don't think they have the knack for it, and seeing shop after shop open and then close in the county only reinforces their distant respect for it.

Living a secure life is their way. Even after Qin Yun graduates, they probably wouldn't support his entrepreneurial pursuits.

However, with the Level 1 Wealth Gathering Array, Qin Yun's clothing store is bound to make money, but he still couldn't tell his parents directly that he had a Wealth System in his mind and ended up with a Wealth Gathering Array.

If he did, his parents might think something's wrong with him.

So, this was the only way he could do it.

"Why are you so disobedient?"

Hearing about losing tens of thousands by giving up the store, Zhao Mei's eyes welled up with tears immediately.

To her, that money was already wasted.

"Mom, trust me this once. I've been eyeing that store for a long time, it's definitely going to be profitable. Plus, the agreement I signed was left by the previous owner, and it expires in less than a month. If it doesn't make money within that month, we simply won't renew it." Qin Yun kept persuading.

In truth, what he said was only half true, but the main thing now was to reassure Zhao Mei.

After persuading for a while, Zhao Mei still disagreed, but Qin Guodong, who had been silent, suddenly spoke, "I think we should let Yun have a try."

"Old Qin, you…" Zhao Mei was furious, her face showing anger, "The kid is being reckless, and you…"

Qin Guodong shook his head and said, "This is money that Yun won from the lottery. He has the right to decide what to do with it."

"Dad agrees?"

Hearing what Qin Guodong said, Qin Yun was stunned. He had prepared a lot of arguments.

But without thinking too much about it, he seized the opportunity and said, "Mom, this is my first time buying a lottery ticket, and I won right away. Just think about how lucky that is. Yes, there's a risk of loss in business, but there's also a great chance of profit."

"I have a strong feeling that the clothing store I'm opening will surely make money! Just like when I bought the lottery ticket; I felt I would win, and I actually did, didn't I? If we miss this chance, we won't earn anything."

"Why not try if my intuition tells me I'll succeed? Even if I fail, the loss won't be too significant."

"Once I make enough money, we can pay off the mortgage, and you and Dad won't have to work so hard anymore."

Qin Yun kept talking, knowing that his luck would continue to reveal itself, so he dropped a little hint now.

Zhao Mei said nothing, feeling angry yet touched, knowing her son was actually very thoughtful and wanted to open a clothing store for the family, not wanting her and Qin Guodong to work so hard.

Qin Guodong remained silent. After a moment, he looked at his son and said, "Yun, since the clothing store is already in motion, your mom and I won't stop you, but you must manage it well and most importantly, not let it affect the college entrance exam. You've been studying for over ten years; all this effort is for this one exam."

"Dad, don't worry." Qin Yun nodded earnestly.

After he finished speaking, Zhao Mei finally said, "Yun, remember, if you don't earn money in a month, definitely don't renew the lease. It's okay to lose a bit, just don't get stuck in it."

Though she was opposed, the situation was already set, and she couldn't stop it.

"I know," Qin Yun readily agreed.

He finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling mentally exhausted. Convincing stubborn parents is really not easy.

"Once the store opens and they start making money, their perspective will change," he thought, looking at his parents.

...

The next day quickly arrived. Qin Yun continued to work on the store. Although he had secured it, there were still various permits to be processed.

However, relying on his parents for these formalities wouldn't work, so he had to handle them himself.

After a whole day of running around, Qin Yun still hadn't finished.

When he returned home in the evening, a four or five-year-old boy saw him and ran over excitedly, "Uncle!"

"Haha, Xiaojun." Picking up the little boy, Qin Yun looked at the two sitting in the room and called with a smile, "Big Sis, Brother-in-law."

Sitting on the chair was a girl who looked twenty-six or twenty-seven. She was slightly plump but very pretty, with fair skin and no blemishes. This was Qin Yun's older sister, Qin Xuan.

Qin Xuan is twenty-six this year, eight years older than Qin Yun, and she basically raised him when he was younger.

Qin Xuan left school after junior high to work because the family was poor at the time, trying to raise three kids was a heavy burden on the Qin Family. And her grades weren't great, so she wanted to just start working and went straight into a clothing factory to make money.

Because she didn't pursue further studies, Qin Xuan married early at twenty-one, and now her son Li Jun is four years old.

Sitting beside Qin Xuan was a man around thirty years old, sturdy and with dark skin, hands stained with hard-to-remove oil marks. He nodded with a smile when Qin Yun greeted him.

This is Qin Yun's brother-in-law, Li Yihang.

Li Yihang co-leases a small factory with others, processing machinery, earning about a hundred thousand a year, and has bought a house and a car in Qingwu County. The car is fully paid, and the house has a mortgage.

"Yun, I heard from Mom that you rented a shop and plan to open a clothing store?" Qin Xuan asked her brother as soon as she saw him.

"Xiaoxuan, help me persuade Yun. Is opening a store something we can handle?"

Zhao Mei, busy in the kitchen, couldn't help but chime in.

She hadn't slept well the previous night, and even when she did, she was haunted by dreams of the store failing, waking up scared.

Holding his nephew, Qin Yun came up to Qin Xuan and said with a smile, "Sis, the store is right on the main street in the county center, originally named Qingyi Clothing Store."

"Oh, that one." Qin Xuan nodded. Being in the clothing business herself, she mostly worked in clothing factories and had also worked in clothing stores, so she was familiar with the few places in the county center.

"Have you got all the paperwork done?" Qin Xuan asked again, "When is the store opening?"

"Not yet. Besides the paperwork, I need to check out some clothes." Qin Yun replied honestly.

"I see."

Qin Xuan thought for a moment and said, "Since your brother-in-law doesn't have much to do at the factory these days, let him take care of Xiaojun for a few days. I'll help you with the paperwork and look at the clothing wholesalers."
