Chapter 30 - Chapter 28: Blood Mage

Casino.

Chi Feng was anxiously waiting at the entrance for about ten minutes without seeing the Beastman return. He breathed a slight sigh of relief and waved toward upstairs.

Immediately, four sturdy men on the fifth floor put away their Barrett rifles, exchanged a glance, and walked back to their respective rooms with smug smiles.

Baiyi on the second floor showed a hint of confusion in his eyes, glanced down below, sighed, and walked upstairs.

The time had already been stretched to the limit. Let's take another look.

BOOM!

A loud explosion sounded at the entrance, causing the still clueless gamblers to scream. Chi Feng, who was just about to turn back, paused.

The next moment, a bucket of icy Holy Water doused him, catching him in a moment of surprise.

Due to the suddenness, he had no time to dodge, and the Holy Water soaked his robe.

"Ah ah ah..."

Like fire meeting snow, a violent scream burst from his mouth. His whole body lay on the ground, writhing madly, and a large amount of smoke with a charred smell began to spread.

"So it seems, I was wondering who would dare defy the Apocalypse Legion's orders. Turns out it was the Scarlet Sect's scum." Magat voiced sarcastically, long sword in hand.

Behind him, a large number of soldiers stood in neat rows, unhesitatingly splashing the Holy Water in their hands toward the crowd, soaking all the gamblers on the first floor in an instant.

Two or three more fell to the ground, wailing, rolling, and squirming.

The other gamblers were terrified, shrinking back in panic.

Since ancient times, gambling and illegal activities have been inseparable. The chaos on the first floor immediately silenced the sounds of pleasure from the third and fourth floors, making the cries all the more piercing.

Magat's eyes flashed with coldness as he stepped forward, his long sword slicing through the air.

Clang~ Tink~

The sword's hum silenced the wailing. A clash of iron reverberated, and Chi Feng's entire body seemed to turn to steel, being violently struck by the sharp blade, crashing into several tables.

Magat frowned slightly, but the next moment, Chi Feng amidst the rubble, his obese body shuddered suddenly, and bloodstained hands pierced through his fat face.

In the sudden outburst of a scream, a short Blood Mage emerged, with a prominently shattered Energy Shield on him.

"Didn't expect you guys to come so quickly..."

A sharp voice rang out, as the rare dwarf Blood Mage raised the former fatty's head, and terrifying Blood Magic waves erupted.

Gamblers' eyes, ears, and mouths gushed fresh blood uncontrollably, the blood gathering toward Chi Feng through the air.

The Blood Mage, specializing in Blood Magic, possessed Absolute Control over blood. The more blood, the stronger his explosive power.

Clearly, Magat knew this too, not seeking help, as the Wucheng Army was there only to help the Apocalypse Legion swiftly clear out civilians. This kind of unit rarely carried heavy weapons, especially the Barrett, which only the elite could use.

So, for now, it was up to him.

Magat slightly lowered his body, grasped his sword in both hands, and dashed forward like an arrow leaving the bowstring.

The powerful physical strength of a Silver Swordsman instantly brought him beside Chi Feng, but the next moment, his pupils contracted, sensing an extreme sense of crisis.

Without attacking, he dashed past Chi Feng and sliced two minions on the ground who were still wailing in half.

Clang~ Boom Boom!

As a substantial amount of blood gushed out, two resounding gunshots followed.

In the spot where he was about to swing his sword, two bowl-sized deep pits appeared, and with the explosion of bullets, the entire casino trembled slightly.

Magat glanced up and saw, on the fifth floor, four guys with weak auras now emitting Bronze Level energy fluctuations, two holding Barrett rifles with scorching barrels, and two aiming.

"Mad, damn Baiyi..."

He muttered a low curse, eyeing the far right, where the Barrett Chi Feng originally held was located, thinking he could gain another means of attack by retrieving it.

He remained still, fixating on the two aiming barrels, his entire body already set in motion.

The surrounding blood continued to converge; a malicious Blood Mage would not give him time to prepare.

"Uh.. uh...."

Plop~

A low hum sounded, and the surrounding gamblers began collapsing one by one, their bodies turning into dry corpses reminiscent of the more than thirty bodies found dead on Saint Martial Avenue.

With this subtle sound, the floor beneath Magat's feet abruptly cracked, sending him darting toward the Energy Gun.

Bang!

A gunshot sounded, a bullet with intense kinetic energy brushing past his back and slamming into the stone floor, missing him.

Magat's face showed a hint of joy, one hand rapidly reaching out, attempting to grab the Energy Gun. But in the next moment, an extreme sense of crisis hit, causing his outstretched hand to slam onto the ground instead.

His body pivoted mid-air, narrowly avoiding the second bullet which grazed past his eyes and struck the Energy Gun.

Boom! Boom!

Two explosive sounds rang out, the first being the noise of the second bullet, and the second the Energy Gun's Alchemy Engraving being destroyed, splitting open in the middle.

Fierce blue rays burst from the Energy Gun, stirring a gust that propelled his body afar.

Thud~

His body slammed onto a gambling table, but upon landing, he quickly stabilized himself with a palm on the tabletop, then powerfully thrust upwards, sending his long sword flying straight into the chest of the Blood Mage.

With the threat of the Energy Gun gone, all present couldn't stop him from killing.

What good does destroying an Energy Gun do?

Swish~

The long sword pierced the chest, halting the Blood Mage's magic. He stared blankly at Magat's fluent moves, a bit unresponsive.

On the fifth floor, the four henchmen were also at a loss; the gun was accurate within a thousand meters, yet they missed a Swordsman four times?

Was it merely because he was a Swordsman?

Magat had no intention of engaging in villainous banter, and upon landing once more, his feet burst with power, charging straight at the Blood Mage.

Chi Feng's eyes shifted from bewilderment to resolve in a split second, watching the Silver Swordsman charge at him.

His eyes hardened, and not only the entire first floor's blood, but even his own blood began gushing out, consolidating into a massive blood mass.

Magat drew near, his right hand already grasping the Giant Sword embedded in Chi Feng's chest.

And as Chi Feng rapidly became a dried corpse, copious blood streamed from his eyes into his hands.

As Magat lifted his long sword, preparing to cleave him in two, he could only utter one word loudly: "God!"

Clang~ Boom!

Powerful energy waves and blood simultaneously erupted, Magat sensing something amiss, swiftly withdrew with the long sword.

Yet he puzzledly examined his hands.

Why does it seem like... nothing happened?

Tap tap tap.....

Hurried footsteps sounded from outside, as Magat, holding his long sword one-handed, glanced perplexedly outside, where a magic-flame-laden lion was already near.

Behind him lay over a hundred dried corpses, as well as one cleaved from chest to head, at this moment collapsing, leaving the entire hall without a single drop of blood!
