"Du Gong, you've already had two portions. Why don't you let me have this one?" Surveyor Xiaoliu greeted with a smile, showing no intention of backing down.
Du Qiming shook his head slightly, "Haven't you also eaten two portions?"
The numbers game couldn't convince either side, so Surveyor Xiaoliu switched tactics, "You're at least a survey team leader. I haven't seen you eating at the canteen these days, always dining with the project leaders. The rest of us have been eating at the canteen every day, and we're sick of it!"
Du Qiming took a deep breath, not expecting Xiaoliu, who usually seemed so honest, to come up with such a clever argument.
"You're mistaken. Eating with the leaders, can you even call that eating? It's working, trying to get some benefits for our south city survey team! For that little bit of benefit, I never eat my fill, always having to make instant noodles back at the dormitory. You've seen it yourself!"
