Fang Mengzhu wasn't very accustomed to being in such close proximity to a man, so she quietly moved away a bit.
Su Xin moved a little closer too, but maintained a slightly more distant space than before, so their bodies were just barely touching, not as tightly pressed as earlier.
Seeing that Su Xin knew when to keep his distance, she sighed in relief and didn't continue to move farther away.
After taking a few sips of hot water, Fang Mengzhu felt a rush of warmth spreading from her stomach, driving away much of the chill inside her. She placed the cup on the coffee table in front of her, but just as she withdrew her hand, Su Xin grasped it firmly.
She struggled for a moment.
But Su Xin held on too tightly, she couldn't break free. With a resigned attitude of 'well, he's already touched and held,' she simply let him hold her hand.
