Chapter 6 - Chapter Five – Let's get a divorce.

Phupha opened his mouth and said something awful, and he knew it wasn't with good intentions. With that scrutinizing look, it was impossible to see good will in it.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kin unconsciously crossed his arms, his brows furrowed tightly. The other man was unfazed by his annoyed demeanor and even looked at him with disdain, as if he were just pretending not to know what was going on.

"What do you want, buying so many things for the servants?"

Suddenly, Kin felt a headache coming on. For such a small matter, Phupha was holding a grudge against him. It was incredibly absurd.

"...And what does that have to do with you?" He looked back with a hard stare, not feeling that he had done anything wrong. Being considerate was a good thing. The one who was overthinking these small things was the one in the wrong.

"You would never do that."

"...Well, I'm doing it now." He stumbled a little, realizing that everything had gone differently from what he had intended.

But as he thought about it, even though he had originally planned to act like a villain fitting the role, he wouldn't interfere with the main couple's relationship. When it came down to it, he couldn't do it. How could he hurt innocent people If those people didn't treat him badly, it would be pointless to throw a tantrum at them. Only people with bad personalities would do something like that.

And 'Kin' was the one who had a bad personality.

"Honestly, it's still none of your business. I can be nice to anyone I want. It's better if you stay out of it, don't you think?" While he couldn't act unreasonably mean to those innocent people like the villain in the original novel, if it was about acting mean to Phupha, he was an expert.

"Do you think I want to meddle in your business?" Both his gaze and his words turned cold and hard instantly. Kin felt the pressure more than before, and his body trembled slightly, almost wanting to cry. It reminded him of one thing.

'Alpha pheromones.'

Was that damn Phupha so annoyed that he had to use something like that to pressure him into knowing he was just an Omega? But it was so frustrating that because of that thing, he could only tremble and stay silent, not daring to talk back even though he wanted to so badly. His body reacting to this stupid thing was so unfair.

But maybe this was the right time?

"Alright, Mr. Phupha, let's get a divorce." He blurted it out without reason, with a confident voice and a serious face so the other person wouldn't think he was just joking or being sarcastic. Kin tilted his head up slightly, even though the other person was standing on a higher step.

"What?" The other man's brows furrowed so tightly his handsome face looked ridiculous. Kin laughed nonchalantly, and it was very strange in the eyes of the man in front of him. He was standing in the middle of the house with his husband and asking for a divorce.

"Divorce." he emphasized again.

"If you don't want to get a divorce amicably, I can just sue, you know?"

Phupha's face looked comical from his tightly knotted brows, and he stared at him with eyes almost bulging out in shock at what he was saying. "...I don't understand what you mean."

"Oh my, can't you understand human language anymore?" He feigned a surprised and sympathetic expression towards the handsome man who couldn't understand him. Kin thought he had spoken clearly.

"I said, let's get a divorce."

"I heard the word 'divorce' clearly, but I don't understand why you're being crazy and doing whatever you want."

It was Kin's turn to be surprised at the other man's refusal. Kin thought it would be easier than this since they didn't have romantic feelings for each other anyway. But now he was being refused?

"It's just a divorce. What's the big deal? Don't you want a divorce?" As soon as he finished speaking, the other man rolled his eyes and sighed, as if what came out of his mouth was incredibly foolish.

"Are you trying to threaten me? If so, let me tell you, I'll really get a divorce."

"Then let's get one, damn it!" He accidentally raised his voice in anger at the rude man. Even though he knew his own status that he wasn't a stranger to the other person, and was even a super mean person he was still furious at those words. He yelled in the middle of the house in a fit of anger, not caring if anyone else passed by and heard them. The only thing he wanted right now was a divorce.

The other man froze and fell silent. His fierce gaze was fixed on him as if he was thinking something, trying to calm down in the face of the situation. Kin also took a step back, breathing in as deeply as he could to suppress his own emotions. As he thought, he wasn't a calm person either.

"We can't yet."

Even though he thought he couldn't stand being in the same house as this jerk for another second, the man, whose heart was filled with his lover, refused so easily.

"Why?"

"Didn't you think about it when you forced me to get married?"

"Oh, just say what you need to say. How am I supposed to know?" He dismissed it with a wave of his hand in annoyance. He didn't know the real reason why they couldn't get a divorce. But then the other man brought up something he had forgotten.

'Business.'

Just that one short word was enough to shut him up. If this wasn't just a marriage for pleasure but a marriage for benefit, he wouldn't have the right to argue about anything. If they divorced, those things would have to be rearranged as well. Both he and Phupha were in the period where they had just gotten married. If they caused problems, it wouldn't just affect two people. His beautiful lips pressed together before he tried to think about who had the power to override his decision.

"I'll talk to our parents."

Right. If he couldn't do anything, it meant his parents must be able to do something. If it was his parents, they would understand... and wouldn't be too cruel to their son, would they? Kin wasn't very confident. Most of the time, the parents of villains were bad people.

"....What's wrong?" It seemed he was able to surprise Phupha once again. It was written all over the other man's face.

"What?" He thought this kind of offer would be good for both of them, but the other person didn't seem to think so at all. The gaze that looked at him was as if he was just a spoiled child with a stupid idea.

"It's nothing. Just try to talk to them. I want to divorce too." Phupha walked past him, down the stairs and towards the exit. He didn't know where the other man was going, but his words were so infuriating that Kin couldn't help but yell after him.

"I'm the one who asked for the divorce first, why are you acting like you're the one asking for it??" Even though Phupha heard his husband's full sentence, he didn't respond and heard the sound of footsteps stomping up the stairs like a spoiled child, as Phupha thought.

The young man was about to leave the house to pick up his childhood 'best friend' for dinner as he had promised before. But before he could get out, he saw another friend walking into the house, who hadn't made plans with Phupha.

"What are you doing here?" The young man stopped his steps immediately. Even though this house wasn't just his, the other half belonged to Kin since it was a newlywed home. But no one ever came and went besides Kin and him, and their two friends who were the exception. But they had never come without telling him first.

Kiryu turned to look at him. In his hand was something that was clearly a food box he had bought from outside. Since the two of them hadn't made any plans, he was even more surprised as to what was going on.

"I made a plan with Mr. Kin."

"When did you two get so close?" The answer from his best friend made the young man think the world had been turned upside down. Everything had happened in just one night. Before he knew it, Kiryu was close with his husband.

"Come on, Phupha. He's not a bad person. When you talk to him nicely, he's... a normal person." The other man didn't look worried or bothered at all. He even spoke as if it wasn't a big deal, completely different from before. Phupha knew his friend was soft-hearted and easily swayed, but he didn't think it would be this easy.

"Didn't you used to hate him?"

"W-well, yes... he was scary. He was intimidating." Kiryu's voice trembled and he seemed a little unsure but still replied. Phupha frowned, looking at his friend who now didn't even dare to make eye contact because they knew each other.

"Then...?" Phupha's voice trailed up slightly, asking a question to his best friend. But the other man's face looked awkward, as if it was difficult to answer, but in the end, he held up the bag in his hand and asked with a wry smile.

"...Want to eat together?" Since he couldn't do anything and couldn't explain the thoughts in his head, the thing his best friend chose to do was to say something so foolish that Phupha couldn't believe this guy was also an Alpha.

"Whatever... I just had a fight with him." The young man sighed and told him what had just happened. Even though he didn't care about it that much, it wasn't bad to let Kiryu know that the situation wasn't suitable for them to be sitting at the same table.

"Why?"

"He suddenly said he wanted a divorce."

"Oh." The light-haired young man didn't seem surprised at all, but instead let out a sound of surprise that showed he wasn't excited in the slightest. The silence between them lingered for a while until Kiryu asked again.

"So are you going to get a divorce?"

He frowned, looking at the other person who seemed excited for an answer. Phupha didn't want to think his best friend had been brainwashed, but it really seemed that had happened. What did Kin do to him? He kept that question to himself because a part of him wanted to know, but another part felt it wasn't his business.

"It's not that simple..." he said, sighing for the millionth time that day. He didn't understand why there were so many things happening all day without a break, especially that man who had changed.

"If you don't love him and he wants a divorce, I think getting a divorce is a good idea."

"What's wrong with you now?" And finally, he couldn't take it anymore.

"Huh?"

"Why are you suddenly giving opinions like this?"

During all the time they had known each other, since they first met in high school, which was also when he got to know Kin, and up until now, there had never been a time when Kiryu didn't show fear or nervousness when he was near that man. The scary Omega wasn't alluring like others, even with his beautiful face. But under that external beauty was just sugar-coated poison. Which was why Kiryu never showed that he wanted to get involved with that scary Omega.

"What are you talking about? Haven't I always said that a divorce would be good... ever since you were engaged!" Kiryu accidentally raised his voice, something he didn't normally do. It made him even more suspicious, and he squinted at the other person to check if it was really his friend, or if someone had possessed him and he had become someone else.

"Why?"

"...Before, it was because he was scary and had a bad personality," Kiryu replied in a low voice.

"Before...? What do you mean by that? So you really did get closer." Phupha raised his hand to his chin, contemplating the strangeness that had occurred recently.

Before, there was the incident at the cafe. Even though Kin had water splashed on his face, he walked away without showing any anger or fury when he saw Pinyin with him and having dinner together. Instead of being furious and rushing in to drag him out of the house, he just argued with a less-than-normal amount of anger and left without ever bothering them again. And now, he was asking for a divorce. And Kiryu was easily pulled to his side, as was the nature of a soft-hearted person.

"What? You were so scared of Kin before." He looked at his friend's face and thought to himself how easily swayed he was. Just a little kindness, and he was already following him.

"So what? Do you have a problem, Phupha? Don't even worry about it. He's in a good mood these days, so he doesn't seem so bad..."

"It's you who should start acting right. At least he's still your wife, isn't he? Stop being so stuck up." Kiryu smacked his best friend's back squarely before walking in the other direction, where he assumed Kin was. Phupha's back stung from the significant force and he could only watch his friend, who was also acting strange.
