Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Hour of Retaliation Has Come (II)

At ringside, when Raul saw Jason Luo actually standing his ground against Morduk, he stomped his foot anxiously. "Has this fool's brain been knocked out of place? Doesn't he understand even basic common sense? If he takes another heavy blow, it'll be a disaster! Coach Pei, think of something! If anything happens to this kid, how will we answer to his family?"

Pedro, however, kept his eyes fixed on the ring, his expression stern and silent. As a professional coach, he could sense something unusual about Jason Luo's state. His punches were fast and powerful, his movements sharp and agile. He wasn't just holding his own—he was even beginning to press an advantage.

Morduk's reactions didn't escape Pedro either. That meant Jason Luo's heavy punches were landing effectively. But what on earth was happening here?

Even the experienced Pedro couldn't figure it out. "Calm down. Let's keep watching. Right now, even if Jason wanted to avoid trading blows, Morduk wouldn't let him. At this point, only Jason knows his own condition. We have to trust him."

Though Pedro's words gave some reassurance, Raul was still uneasy, pacing back and forth at ringside in frustration.

Just then, Dr. Miao came running over, drenched in sweat and carrying a medical kit. When Jason Luo had been floored by that heavy punch, Dr. Miao—who had been watching with his daughter—rushed out of the hall, grabbed his kit from the car, and hurried back to administer first aid.

But when he returned, Jason Luo was already back on his feet, fighting with renewed energy. Stunned and confused, Dr. Miao had no idea what had happened, so he went straight to Jason Luo's coach for answers.

Raul recognized him from the tavern. Seeing the doctor arrive with the medical kit, he hurried forward. "Dr. Miao, you're both a doctor and his friend. Please, take a look. Could something be seriously wrong with him?"

David Miao's expression hardened. "What happened just now? The moment he went down, I rushed to get my kit. How could he already be fighting again by the time I got back? How could you allow this?"

His tone was sharp, but Raul knew it came from concern for Jason Luo. He quickly recounted what had happened afterward. When Dr. Miao heard it, he was left speechless for a long moment. "Something like this…? I've never seen anything like it either. I think we'd better run a few quick tests. A blow that heavy to the head—the biggest danger is intracranial bleeding or a concussion. As long as we can rule those out, the rest shouldn't be too serious."

Coach Pedro spoke up. "Alright then, Dr. Miao. There's only about 20 seconds left in this round. Please get ready. If you notice anything unusual, we'll stop the fight immediately and give him emergency treatment."

Dr. Miao could only nod. He opened his kit at once, taking out a blood pressure monitor, a high-powered flashlight, a stethoscope, and other instruments, preparing to examine Jason Luo.

On the ring, Jason Luo's fight was anything but easy. His heavy punches had gained power, but now Morduk had started slipping and defending, making clean hits a new challenge.

As a Mexican Style pressure fighter, Morduk wasn't especially quick at dodging, but his defense was rock-solid. Even while attacking, he always kept one hand tightly guarding his openings. Once he set aside his pride and committed to defense, Jason Luo's heavy punches struggled to land squarely on target.

Still, the momentum had begun to shift. The crowd could see it: ever since Jason Luo got back up, he had grown fiercer, while Morduk had started to retreat and slip punches. A comeback was brewing!

The spectators were on fire. Nothing was more thrilling than a dramatic reversal. Almost everyone now prayed Jason Luo would floor Morduk with a single punch and create a classic comeback victory.

From somewhere in the stands, a voice rang out: "Come on! Go for it!" Soon, the entire arena was echoing with the chant.

Though no one said his name, Jason Luo felt the roar hit him like lightning. His whole body trembled as the cheers flooded his blood. Since his mother's death, he had endured endless hardship, never once receiving so much recognition and support. The waves of cheers crashed into his heart, igniting his spirit. His blood rushed to his head. If not now, when?

Defense? I'll smash through your shell!

Jason Luo abandoned all thought of conserving strength. Swinging with full power, he launched into a wild assault—wide hooks, uppercuts flowing into angled swings, then a straight into a hook… Combinations poured out like a storm crashing down on Morduk.

Morduk wasn't about to back down. He, too, was seething inside. He refused to accept it—how could a battered rookie dare dream of turning the fight around?

Seeing Jason Luo's all-out attack, Morduk unleashed his own fury. For a Mexican Style fighter, standing toe-to-toe was second nature.

But after several heavy exchanges, Morduk began to sense something was wrong. Jason Luo's resilience had somehow grown stronger. Even his heaviest blows couldn't disrupt Jason's rhythm anymore.

With less than 15 seconds left in the round, the ring exploded into a frenzied brawl. Commentator Wollers screamed at the top of his lungs to be heard over the roaring crowd. "They're going all in! Both fighters have gone to a deathmatch pace! Unbelievable! Jason Luo, who rose after that devastating knockdown, is fighting like a man possessed—he's only growing stronger, and now he's even pressing Morduk back! If I weren't seeing it with my own eyes, who would believe this?"

"Could he really create a miracle? Come on! Forgive me as a commentator, I shouldn't let my emotions show—but tonight, he's given us too many shocks, too many thrills. This is real boxing! I can't hold it back anymore. Go, Kid!"

After two more brutal exchanges, both men had paid the price. Jason Luo's face was badly swollen, while Morduk's nose was bleeding and two bumps bulged on his forehead. But Jason felt no pain now—his mind was fixed only on knocking his opponent down.

Morduk, however, was wavering. Jason Luo's transformation was too much to comprehend. Seeing his opponent still charging forward relentlessly, he began to feel the urge to retreat.

But the instant he stepped back, Jason Luo's rear heavy punch slammed into him. Morduk had no choice but to cover up with both fists. He blocked it, but the force sent him stumbling backward, his balance shattered. Jason's eyes lit up. Seizing the chance, he rushed in and unleashed a furious barrage. Morduk couldn't steady himself, forced into passive defense.

After taking several more heavy blows, his balance broke completely—and he crashed down onto the canvas!
