Chapter 163 - Chapter 163: An Unpleasant Match (Part Two)

The second round began, but the situation in the ring hadn't changed. Jason Luo kept closing in, while Megan George continued to backpedal, landing quick punches to rack up points. To most spectators, the fight was painfully dull, and restlessness rippled through the crowd.

Only a handful of seasoned boxing fans and industry veterans understood the frustration behind such a match.

In the front row of plush seats sat several familiar figures. One of them grinned and said, "Yudar, you're the only guy who's ever knocked Mayweather down. Got any tricks for breaking this kind of style?"

Yudar shot the speaker a glare. "Moose, you trying to wind me up? If I were ten years younger, I'd give you two punches right now—believe it or not?"

Moose burst out laughing. "I believe it! Of course I do. If your big brother Mike Tyson were here, the two of you would probably jump in together. Don't get mad—you're getting older; keep that temper in check. I'm just curious—can this kind of fighting really be that hard to deal with?"

Yudar sighed. "As much as I hate to admit it, yeah. This style is a nightmare—high movement, quick evasion, nowhere to unload your power. Over time, it eats away at a fighter's confidence. Boxing rules should've banned this kind of nonsense long ago."

Moose frowned. "So what you're saying is, that kid up there doesn't stand a chance?"

Yudar chuckled. "Not necessarily. For one thing, this Megan George is nowhere near Mayweather's level. He just mimics the style. Old Mayweather's chin and defense were far tougher, and his counterpunching could crush your will. This guy? Please…"

As their conversation went on, the scene in the ring told its own story—Jason Luo was still pressing forward, step by step. He wasn't throwing many punches, just stalking his opponent with steady focus. No matter how many points Megan George managed to score, Jason's confidence never wavered.

Megan was feeling good, even smug, until something began to feel off. The second round was nearly over—by now, that kid should've realized he couldn't force him into a toe-to-toe fight. So why was he still chasing so hard?

After six minutes of constant pursuit, Megan's arms and legs started to feel heavy. With a comfortable points lead, he began to slow down, cutting his output to save stamina.

But Jason was waiting for that moment. If Megan wanted to rest, that wasn't happening. Jason suddenly powered forward, forcing him to throw punches just to defend himself.

At first, Jason's impatience had made him rush and lose focus. But now that he had a clear plan, he was calm. Watching Megan dart around the ring, he suddenly felt like a shepherd herding a stubborn sheep.

You like to run, huh? Fine—today, I'll make sure you run until you drop. You won't even get the chance to stop. Let's see how far you can go!

You call yourself a boxer? I'll turn you into a marathon runner before this is over!

With that mindset, Jason moved like a herdsman driving his prey. The moment Megan slowed down, Jason charged with fierce aggression, never giving him a second of rest.

The third round played out the same way. Megan, growing irritated, stopped and tried to trade blows—but after a few exchanges, he realized it was useless and went back to circling the ring.

By the fourth round, Megan knew something was wrong. Over half his stamina was gone, and he finally understood Jason's plan—wear him down. Megan tried dodging more and punching less to conserve energy, but Jason refused to let him off the hook.

Jason was also tiring, but he had a way to deal with that. Suddenly, he let out a thunderous roar, startling Megan out of rhythm!

The Intermediate Offensive Title: Brave Roar activated! Strength +2, Explosiveness +5, Stamina +3. As long as Jason Luo didn't retreat or dodge back, the effect would last until the end of the fight!

Once the Title activated, Jason's entire presence transformed. He looked like a fearless warrior, his eyes burning with unwavering determination. Even if a wall of fire and steel stood before him, he wouldn't take a single step back.

With his Strength and Stamina surging, Jason charged like an unstoppable force. The overwhelming pressure forced Megan to backpedal wildly, unwilling to trade punches head-on. He could only grit his teeth and keep circling the ring.

This shift caught the attention of a few sharp-eyed spectators. The fight might not have looked much different, but its meaning had changed completely. Earlier, Jason had been forced into chasing the fight.

Now, the momentum had flipped—Megan was the one who couldn't stop, compelled to move and burn energy. Reversals like this were rare in any professional match.

The ring now looked more like a running track. Moose and Yudar both laughed. "Hahaha! This kid's ruthless—like a hound chasing a rabbit. He's pushing him to the limit! This is great—I love it!"

By the end of the fifth round, the change was clear. Megan George was gasping for air, drenched in sweat, while Jason Luo kept advancing, relentless.

Megan felt miserable. His opponent was merciless—not a single second to rest since the first round. What kind of fight was this?

He considered quitting, but that felt like a waste. He still had the points lead—but three full rounds remained! At this pace, he doubted he could last even one more.

Jason, though soaked with sweat, was breathing evenly and still moving strong. His Stamina was clearly superior.

Damn it! Just my luck to run into a freak with endless energy—and a stubborn one, too! Can't you slow down for one second? Let me breathe, damn it!

The moment he eased up, Jason surged forward with another barrage. In truth, Jason was already holding back—this match had been torture for him too. He'd been dragged around for nearly four rounds straight. Oh, so now you're tired? Want a break?

Not a chance.

Today, you're running all eight rounds.

Jason looked like he was attacking hard, but he wasn't aiming to knock his opponent out. His goal was simple—to keep Megan running until the very end.

As the bell rang to close the fifth round, Megan clung to the ropes, gulping for air. Jason snorted heavily and stomped back to his corner.

"Jason, great work! That guy's done for. The next round is your chance to finish him. Haha! Our plan's working! How's your stamina holding up?"

"Don't worry, Coach, I'm good. But I've changed my mind—I'm making that bastard run all eight rounds. Knock him out? Too easy. I'll make him collapse on his own."

"Uh…" Coach Brown hadn't expected Jason's grudge to run that deep, but what could he say? Megan George had brought it on himself—he'd been smug as hell earlier.

A simple undercard bout had dragged into the sixth round, yet the audience wasn't annoyed anymore. They were now enjoying every second of this bizarre match.

"Haha! Run! Come on, faster! You've still got the points lead—hang in there!"

"This is hilarious! Look, he's slowing down—kick him in the ass and make him run more!"

For fans who loved straightforward, heavy exchanges, Megan's evasive tactics had been unbearable at first. Now, most of them were laughing and taunting him instead.

In the ring, Megan could barely move. His footwork slowed, his dodges broke down, and openings appeared everywhere. At this point, Jason could've ended the fight easily with one clean combination.

But he didn't. He chased him with wild swings that whooshed through the air, missing on purpose. He wasn't trying to hit—just to keep Megan running.

It worked a few times, but as it went on, Megan caught on. And once he realized what was happening, the frustration hit him even harder.

So all this time, you were just toying with me? How the hell am I supposed to stand that?

Broken and furious, Megan finally snapped. Fighting was pointless now. He pretended to trip during his retreat, then refused to get up no matter how long the referee counted.

And just like that, this strange fight ended in an equally strange way. Jason Luo won without landing a single solid hit. Still, he couldn't help feeling a little unsatisfied.

They were supposed to go all eight rounds...
