He didn't even bother to swing his axe, just letting the marines' attacks land on him. Swords and blades clanged against his skin, creating a shower of sparks, unable to even leave a white mark. A few marines who tried to attack him with physical techniques had their arms numbed and their hands split open by the recoil from his body. The despair brought by this absolute defense was more destructive to the will than a direct attack.
And the real nightmare was the two figures who were like demon gods. Newgate didn't even move from his spot. He just planted his naginata on the ground, and an invisible shockwave spread out from him. The hard volcanic rock of the Pinnacle of Glory rippled like a lake into which a stone had been thrown. All the marine elites who stepped into this area, regardless of their strength, felt their footing give way, their bodies losing balance. "Gurararara... a bunch of brats who can't even stand properly, and you dare to talk about justice?" Newgate held his wine barrel and yawned, a look of disappointment in his eyes.
Linlin was even more direct. She was like a child who had broken into a candy store, a smile that was both innocent and cruel on her face. Prometheus the sun became a giant flaming whip in her hand. Every swing brought a sea of fire, burning several marines to a crisp, making them scream in agony. Zeus the thundercloud circled above her head, occasionally dropping thick bolts of lightning, charring the marines who were trying to regroup.
"Wahahaha! You all smell so good! You'd probably taste even better roasted!" Linlin's appetite seemed to have been ignited by the battle. She looked at the figures struggling in the flames and lightning, her huge eyes shining with the light of someone who had just seen top-tier ingredients.
Laurenne, the talented young girl in whom Momousagi had placed high hopes, was now covered in blood, using her dagger to support herself on the ground, preventing herself from collapsing. RUMBLE... The entire G-2 fortress, like a startled steel beast, instantly roared to life. Countless battle-hardened Marine officers of all ranks charged out of their barracks, rushing madly toward the Pinnacle of Glory. In the sky, dozens of patrol airships also took off urgently, their black cannon muzzles aimed at the mountaintop that had now turned into a living hell.
The battle on the mountaintop was coming to an end. Except for Laurenne and a few others who were still struggling on with their tenacious will, all the other marine elites had already lost their ability to fight. An invisible, irresistible repulsive force erupted from Rocks! Laurenne and the others felt a powerful force hit them. Their bodies were sent flying like broken kites, and they slammed heavily on the ground, completely losing consciousness.
After doing this, Rocks turned his gaze to the foot of the mountain. His deep eyes were filled with a darkness and arrogance that could swallow everything. He opened his arms, as if to embrace the entire world, his voice as loud as a bell, echoing through the sky.
"Zephyr! And your lovely subordinates!"
"Come! Let me see just how fragile your so-called justice really is!"
The moment his words fell, the first batch of marine reinforcements had already charged up the mountaintop. They were greeted by the bloodthirsty and excited eyes of the entire Rocks Pirates crew. A true food, a gluttonous feast, was just beginning.
