Chapter 59 - Chapter 60: The Great Battle of the G-2 Branch

Silver's figure completely merged with the shadows, disappearing without a trace. His target was to destroy G-2's communication and defense systems. Dolum followed closely behind Gatz. This usually timid and fearful shipwright's eyes were now shining with an unprecedented fanaticism. He knew he was about to see the holy land of his dreams—the deepest secret dockyard of the G-2 Branch.

Zephyr watched as the pirates suddenly changed their tactics, the ominous premonition in his heart growing stronger. He realized that their goal was not simply to destroy the Pinnacle of Glory. They had a much larger plan! "Bastards! What are you really trying to do?!" Zephyr was furious, but he was pinned down by Rocks, unable to break free.

Rocks looked at his furious and flustered expression and laughed loudly. "Wahahaha! Don't be in such a hurry, Zephyr. This lesson has only just begun!"

Inside the G-2 fortress, it was now a scene of chaos. The harsh alarm blared through every steel corridor. Countless marines ran around like headless chickens, unaware that the real enemy had already infiltrated their heartland. The battle on the Pinnacle of Glory had drawn the vast majority of their forces, providing the perfect cover for Ren and the others' actions.

Ren carried his ingredient box, walking unhurriedly on a huge pipeline used for transporting supplies. This was the underground area of G-2, a complex, maze-like structure. But in Ren's mind, a crystal-clear 3D map had already been constructed. In the past few days in the Repentance Sector, through his chats with the guards and his analysis of the ingredients, he had already deduced the entire base's logistical supply routes, energy pipelines, and even the structure of the ventilation system.

"A patrol team of two is thirty-seven meters ahead to the left. They will pass the corner in ten seconds."

"There is high-pressure steam in the pipe below. It is released every three minutes. The next release is in twenty seconds."

Ren's Observation Haki was like the most precise radar, taking everything around him into account. He was like a ghost, always managing to avoid all patrols and surveillance, without attracting anyone's attention. Soon, he arrived at a huge gate made of a special alloy. On the gate, in red letters, was the warning: "First Power Core Area. Unauthorized Personnel Prohibited." This was one of the three power furnaces of the G-2 fortress, and also the one that Ren had learned from the guards was the oldest and most in need of maintenance.

Ren didn't try to break it by force. He just took out a small bottle of liquid from his ingredient box. It was a highly corrosive oil that he had refined from the low-quality butter and several special plants provided by the prison. He carefully applied the oil to the cracks of the gate's electronic lock. Sizzle... A faint sound, like meat grilling, was heard, accompanied by a wisp of green smoke. The internal circuits of the sturdy electronic lock were quickly corroded and short-circuited. With a click, the gate opened. Ren calmly walked in, as if he had just returned to his own kitchen.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the base, Gatz was staging a magnificent performance of getting lost. "Hey! This place is so big! Where the hell is the kitchen?" he shouted, charging through a huge armory with his anchor. "Hey! Does anyone know where the kitchen is? I'm hungry!"

The marine team guarding the armory was scared out of their wits when this god of death suddenly appeared. "E-enemy attack! It's that monster with the anchor!" "Quick! Stop him! Don't let him get near the high-explosive ammunition area!" The marines braced themselves and charged forward, trying to stop Gatz. The result was, of course, that they were swept away one by one by Gatz's anchor, like bowling pins.

"What's wrong with you guys? I was just asking for directions, why did you start fighting?" Gatz scratched his head with an innocent look on his face, then accidentally kicked over a box full of grenades, causing a series of earth-shaking explosions. BOOM! The explosion in the armory instantly attracted the attention of a large number of reinforcements, perfectly fulfilling his mission of creating chaos and drawing fire.

In the shadows, Silver's figure was like a phantom. He had already infiltrated G-2's secondary command center, which was responsible for the entire fortress's internal communications and the deployment of its defensive turrets. Like the most elegant grim reaper, he used the end of his spear shaft to precisely strike the back of the neck of each operator, making them fall unconscious silently. Then, he walked to the huge control console. He looked at the dense network of wires and buttons, a look of understanding in his eyes. He didn't understand the complex operations, but he knew the most direct way to destroy it. With a flick of his spear, it became a silver whirlwind, tearing the entire control console to shreds, sending sparks flying. The internal defense system of the G-2 fortress was completely paralyzed.

And at this moment, the shipwright Dolum, after Gatz and Silver had cleared all the obstacles for him, was running at full speed. He had never run so fast in his life. The face that was usually filled with worry was now filled with an almost pilgrimage-like fanaticism. He passed through one secret passage after another, finally arriving at a huge steel gate hidden inside the mountain. This was G-2's top secret, the secret construction dock for the super-warship codenamed "Azure Dragon."

"I'm here... my sweet treasure..." Dolum reached out a trembling hand and caressed the cold gate, his eyes filled with tears of joy. He took out a partially complete design blueprint of the Azure Dragon warship from his pocket, which had been soaked with his sweat and seized from the CP0, and kissed it as if it were a holy book. Then, he raised his giant axe. "For the most perfect work of art! Open for me!" Dolum roared, unleashing all his strength, and brought his axe down hard on the gate's control hub!

The battle on the Pinnacle of Glory was still raging. The more Zephyr fought, the more his heart sank. He found that Rocks's strength seemed endless. Every collision made his blood boil. What made him even more uneasy was that he could clearly feel the vibrations and chaos from within the base. He knew he had been tricked. Their real goal was not to fight him to the death, but something else entirely!

"Rocks! You despicable bastard!" Zephyr roared, trying to break free from Rocks.

But Rocks just laughed loudly, pinning him down with even more ferocious attacks. "All's fair in war, Zephyr. This is a lesson you should teach your students, too."

Just then, an earth-shaking boom came from the depths of the fortress. Then, the lights of the entire G-2 base flickered violently and then went out completely. The energy barriers on the Pinnacle of Glory that were used to restrain the prisoners also dissipated.

The first power core had been successfully detonated by Ren.

At that moment, Zephyr's face turned deathly pale. He knew that his worst fears had come true.
