"I love you—rage and thunder!"
Liu Erlong stomped the ground, purple lightning sparking beneath her bare feet. In her hands bloomed a massive fireball infused with crackling bolts of lightning. With her furious control, it swelled monstrously, soon wider than a full-grown man.
Then, with a sharp thrust of her arms, she hurled the burning orb straight at Lu Yuan. The sheer intensity of the attack twisted the very air like a boiling mirage.
Lu Yuan's eyes didn't waver. Instead, he tipped back his wine jar—gulp, gulp—and let dark Sword Qi blaze around him. "Sword intent, burn!" he snarled. His aura surged as two spirit abilities stacked, multiplying his strength in an instant.
A pair of trained Sword Qi blades slashed out, colliding directly with the giant fireball.
BOOOOM!
The explosion tore the ground apart. Trees snapped like twigs, sand and stone spraying everywhere.
Despite the blast, Liu Erlong saw he stood tall, unbent. Rage twisted her beauty. She grit her teeth—
When in her life had she ever been seen naked by a man? This humiliation… intolerable!
"Sixth spirit ability—Blazing Dragon!"
Twin fists ignited into dragon-shaped flame. She struck out like a meteor in freefall. Augmented by the flaming dragon, her speed exploded—she crossed the gap in the blink of an eye.
Lu Yuan's grin widened. "This hot pepper's real. Guess I can't go easy."
"Feng Chen Absolute Slash!"
His body blurred into sword essence, untouchable. He slipped past her blow, black Sword Qi wheezing through the air as casually as a breeze. A lock of Liu Erlong's long blue hair fell, sliced in passing.
She spun, fiery fist meeting his glowing blade. Clang! Sparks burst, forcing both to stumble back simultaneously.
Her eyes widened. This man… impossible! After several exchanges, she hadn't gained an inch over him. Worse—his eerie sword, its aura suppressing her flames, made her heart clench with instinctive caution.
The more her martial soul faltered, the more dissatisfied she grew. No man had ever left her in such a state!
"Little Pepper, don't fight," Lu Yuan drawled, lazily resting his sword on his shoulder. "I know it was an accident when you attacked me earlier."
Her brows furrowed, but his calm softened something faintly. Maybe—maybe he was reasonable?
Then came his smirk. "I forgive you."
Her jaw nearly dislocated. Forgive? Forgive her? She was the one wronged, her body seen, her privacy desecrated! And now this bastard spoke like a generous saint granting charity?
This was beyond unreasonable.
"Arghhhh—!" Her chest heaved violently, barely held by the thin fabric clinging loosely over her.
"The true body of Chilong!"
Flames erupted into a colossal dragon above her, scales glowing blue, wings spanning wide. With a roar, the dragon spewed green flame. The air churned, explosions rippling the sky.
Lu Yuan's left arm flared—"Dark Fire!"—black fire exploding into Sword Qi. Unlike the wild eruption during Tiandou Cup, this flame was leaner, concentrated, but infinitely more lethal.
She gasped as her fire lessened, her blazing dragon actually suppressed! For the first time ever, her martial soul's flames felt weak—outmatched.
"Unbelievable…"
But Lu Yuan had no plan to pause. His feet slammed, catapulting him upward like a meteor. His afterimage smeared the air, vanishing from her enlarged dragon-eyes.
"Oh no—"
She felt the ripple above her spine. Too late.
And then—
"HAHAHA! Got you!"
Lu Yuan landed firmly atop the fire dragon's back, riding it like a horse, sword glowing menacingly.
The dragon twisted violently.
"Lu Yuan—you dare RIDE your old lady?!" Liu Erlong's voice shrieked from within, equal parts fury and embarrassment.
"Don't touch my dragon scales either, bastard!"
Lu Yuan's grin widened perversely. "Scales are very smooth, big sis."
"ROLL OFF!"
Shrek Academy – Advanced Class
Since Lanba Academy officially renamed itself Shrek Academy, today marked the first advanced class under its new banner. Students filled the classroom, buzzing with curiosity.
"I heard today's teacher is new. A food-type soul saint, no less. Over seventy levels! His name's Shao Xin!"
"That's crazy, an actual food support expert at this level teaching us?"
"Hey—but what's with those newcomers?" one student muttered, eyeing the fresh group at the back. "Most don't look older than fourteen, fifteen."
"Connections," another sneered. "Must be nobles shoved in through back doors."
"Well, two of the new girls aren't bad—pretty as fresh flowers. I'll go talk to them later."
"Look at that fat one though. No way he's a soul master."
At that, Ma Hongjun's fiery temper blazed instantly. He slammed the table, ready to go off—
Creak.
The door opened.
The room hushed.
A shadow fell across the class.
"Ha! So this is where you were hiding, eh?" came the drunken drawl. "Made me search half the academy. Believe it or not, I'll cut all of you!"
Lu Yuan swaggered in, wine jar in hand, still smoldering faintly from his battle earlier.
Jaws dropped.
"It's him…"
Every Shrek student froze.
Even Zhu Zhuqing's cold mask cracked as she stood, voice softer than anyone had ever heard. "Lu Yuan…"
He winked at her. "Little cat, sit here with me."
Then, with a sudden lunge forward, he grabbed Dai Mubai by the collar and hauled him from his seat. "And YOU, bastard—why are you sitting with her, huh? Trying to get cozy, believe it or not I'll blow you apart right here!"
Dai Mubai's face turned red and blue in shame. She's my fiancée! My fiancée! he howled inside. Yet against Lu Yuan's crushing strength, he couldn't resist an inch.
Tang San and the others leapt up instantly, surrounding Lu Yuan.
"That's him—it's really Lu Yuan!"
"No doubt—just look at him. The monster himself."
Whispers rippled from other students.
"Are these idiots really trying to pick a fight with Lu Yuan?"
"They want to die? Not even Tianshui or Shenfeng could match him! These Muggles think they can?"
The air grew tense. Tang San's purple eyes glinted, pressure thickening. "Let him go."
But just as Dai Mubai's teeth gritted, Lu Yuan smirked—and dropped him carelessly to the ground. "Fine, take your little tiger. I'm not here for him anyway."
He slung an arm lazily over Zhu Zhuqing's shoulder. "I came for my little cat."
Zhu Zhuqing's cheeks heated faintly, though she didn't push him away.
Dai Mubai's rage spiked like a volcano ready to burst—but Fatty Ma Hongjun yanked him back. "Boss Dai, don't! We just saved your skin, don't throw it away again!"
Still, the atmosphere bristled.
Lu Yuan swigged from his jar, ignoring Tang San's cold stare entirely. His eyes, instead, caught another figure—slender frame, pink rabbit-like aura, soft eyes glaring cutely.
"Little beauty," he drawled, leaning close. "We meet again. Last time you glared at me, remember?"
Xiao Wu popped up from behind Tang San, folding her arms. "It wasn't glare—it was charm."
Lu Yuan smirked. "Oh, right—pink temptation. Still works. Care for a drink?" He shoved the wine jar toward her nose.
Xiao Wu yelped and ducked behind Tang San again. "No thanks!"
Tang San's eyes flashed dangerously. "Let go of Boss Dai. Now."
"Hah!" Lu Yuan snorted, bored, and gave a drunken shrug. "Here, take back your sick cat. I've no time to play."
He dropped Dai Mubai like old trash.
Then, draping himself against Zhu Zhuqing without a care, he grinned.
Zhu Zhuqing stayed still, expression unreadable.
And the rest of Shrek realized with dread—whatever nightmare they feared, it had walked straight into their class today.
