Chapter 57 - News from the Blue Silver Emperor

At Shrek Academy, rumors spread like wildfire.

"Dean Liu Erlong's been acting so strange lately."

"Yeah, I've noticed too. A few days ago, I walked past the office and overheard Dean Flender saying she's locked herself in for days, barely showing her face."

"I also heard she scolded Master Yu Xiaogang so badly that half the students outside the building heard it word for word."

"Forget it, none of our business. I'm not sticking my nose in."

The chatter buzzed across the advanced class as clusters of students whispered among themselves.

In the corner, Tang San sat silently with his team. His face twisted sour, as though he'd just swallowed a fly.

No surprise. Getting thrashed by Lu Yuan in front of the whole academy wasn't exactly something to smile about.

But before the awkward silence around him could fade, a group of strangers suddenly stormed into the classroom.

Their footsteps were heavy, deliberate.

Then—

Thud! Thud! Thud!

All of them dropped to their knees before Tang San, their foreheads nearly touching the floor.

The entire advanced class froze on the spot.

Awkward silence thundered louder than any battle cry.

Tang San blinked. His mind blanked. What in the…

The old man kneeling in front radiated strength, far beyond Tang San's ability to resist. Just approaching him had been enough to raise alarm bells.

But why is someone this strong kneeling to me?!

Had… had they drunk too much in broad daylight?

Around the classroom, whispers started flying.

"Wait—that's Tyrone, right? And isn't that his father and grandfather kneeling too?!"

"What?? Why would they kneel to Tang San?"

"I heard their family runs the Power Clan here in Tiandou, right? Aren't they practically royalty in the city?"

"Hold on. Isn't Tyrone's grandfather a Contra-level expert?!"

"This doesn't make sense. Shrek has been getting weirder every day lately."

The crowd reeled in shock. Students rubbed their eyes, wondering if they'd gone mad.

The kneeling elder finally raised his trembling voice. "Old slave Titan… greets the young master!"

His words rippled across the room like a stone dropped into still water.

Young master?

Tang San froze.

Young master? Of who?

Titan's voice carried raw excitement. Ever since his grandson Tyrone reported seeing a certain hammer in Tang San's hands, he had pieced it together. A soul master with the surname Tang, wielding the Clear Sky Hammer—this was no coincidence.

The son of Tang Hao. Without doubt.

"W–wait," Tang San stammered, his expression pale. "Senior, can you explain what you're talking about…?"

He instinctively reached to lift the old man to his feet, but Titan's body was like solid steel. He didn't budge an inch.

"Young master," Titan said firmly, still kneeling, "don't you know who your father truly is?"

Tang San's brows knit tight. "…You… know my father?"

Titan looked him squarely in the eye. "Your father… is Tang Hao."

The name hit like a hammer itself.

Tang San staggered.

Tang Hao? His father? The same man who had been a drunken blacksmith his whole life, wallowing in cheap alcohol? That Tang Hao was just… a village drunkard. Surely he couldn't be anything greater.

Yet Titan's certainty robbed him of words.

At his side, Oscar whispered hurriedly into his ear. "Little San, this could be good! A few more loyal subordinates won't hurt. If these people really follow you, then when we meet Lu Yuan again, we'll just call in reinforcements to smack him back!"

Titan's sharp ears flicked instantly toward Osca's mutters, his face darkening. Lu Yuan? That troublemaker? If he caught wind that Tang Hao's son had ties to the Clear Sky School, the chaos would double. No, he couldn't risk it.

"Young master," Titan said sternly, "this is not a place for such talk. Let us find a quiet spot… then we will explain all."

Tang San hesitated, conflicted. But the chances of these people being mistaken were slim. They knew his father's true name. That couldn't be coincidence.

Finally, he nodded. "All right. Let's talk privately."

Inside, his heart raced. If these people truly hailed from his father's past, then maybe he could finally uncover news of Tang Hao.

Across the empire, things were stirring.

Within the Heaven Dou Palace, Lu Yuan sat lounging with a wine jar in hand.

"Xiao Xuexue, where's my drinking partner?" he called, voice slightly hoarse.

When Qian Renxue had invited him over earlier, his heart had leapt. At last someone who knew how to toast properly! But when he arrived, she only gave him wine and then sat there composed, refusing to drink more than a sip.

Truly disappointing.

"Brother Lu Yuan," she said softly, "I can't drink too much with you today."

He looked up in disbelief. "Huh? Why not? Don't tell me you're planning to run off again after a single cup—"

Her ears turned faintly pink at the memory. Last time she'd been drunk, she had secretly kissed him. Her heart still trembled at the thought. She wasn't going to risk losing control again.

"I didn't ask you here just for drinking," she said briskly, steadying her gaze. "There's business to discuss. Soon, I'll be taking action. When the time comes… I may need your help."

Lu Yuan blinked, then burst into a grin. "That's all? Of course! Just tell me when. I'll probably be hanging around Tianshui Academy, so send word there."

Helping her smash a few enemies? That was easy. Especially when she fed him this much good wine.

"Deal," Qian Renxue said with a small smile. She didn't reveal her true target yet—Tang San. Because this time, the pieces involved were much bigger than even Lu Yuan could imagine.

Ever since returning from Martial Soul City, she had uncovered sealed records hidden deep in the Hall's vaults. Among them was mention of a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor.

Unlike other beasts, the Blue Silver Emperor carried a realm ability. Blue Silver Domain.

A legendary skill said to make its wielder almost immortal—untouchable unless it chose self-sacrifice.

Qian Renxue's suspicion burned sharper. That hundred-thousand-year soul beast tied to Tang Hao's past… hadn't died. It had lived, hidden. And Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was proof of that bloodline.

The child of Tang Hao and the Blue Silver Emperor. A twin Martial Soul born of sacrifice and destiny.

That was why Tang San could not be ignored.

She closed her eyes briefly. Memories of her father, of Tang Hao's slaughter, of the humiliation Martials Soul Hall had endured—all came back like echoes of fire.

"Miss," a gaunt, aged figure appeared silently behind her, bowing low. His voice was quiet, doubtful. "Forgive me for asking, but… are you truly certain this Lu Yuan is reliable?"

Her frown deepened. "Are you questioning my judgment?"

The old man stiffened. "No, never! I dare not!"

Qian Renxue exhaled, her lips softening faintly. "You need not doubt. He may drink like a fool, but when it matters—he never fails. That's what makes him dependable."

Even if her own grandfather, Qian Daoliu, restrained the elders of the Worship Hall from helping her meddle, she had carved her own path. This matter couldn't be buried. She would find the Blue Silver Emperor. And she would drag Tang Hao's secrets into light.

Back in Shrek, Tang San's thoughts whirled after the revelation.

Father… is a Title Douluo?

Clear Sky Hammer. Haotian Sect. The No.1 sect in the world?!

The weight of the information trembled in his chest. His father—the unkempt drunkard who avoided people, who let villagers curse him a waste… had once stood tall enough to shake the entire continent. The youngest Titled Douluo ever. The Haotian Douluo himself.

Tang San's lips curled, a rare smile breaking out. His blood burned hotter. So this is the blood I carry…

The shame of defeat at Lu Yuan's hands, the sting of humiliation, all of it blurred away. Because now, he had confirmation: he carried something greater.

Yet one question lingered like a shadow.

If his father was so powerful… why had he abandoned him? Why disappear into obscurity, drowning in wine?

Until that answer came, Tang San's fists would not unclench.
