Chapter 18 - Fear

Chapter 18

Renji's aura poured out it was dense, suffocating, overwhelming pressed against the entire city.

In the hunters bureau the mana meters were spiking everything was going bezerk

TAKEDA SCREAMED!!!

His body stiffened. For the first time in years, his instincts screamed.

"What… what is this?!"

He clenched his fists.

"This mana… it surpasses even mine."

Without hesitation, Takeda's figure vanished in a burst of speed, a streak of light tearing through the night. Tracing the source

Back in the alley, Tang Shi's dagger stilled. His body trembled. His smirk faded into horror.

The mana pouring from Renji was monstrous—no, divine. It eclipsed everything he knew.

"W-what is this…?" Tang Shi stuttered, his voice breaking. His instincts screamed to flee, but his body was frozen.

Renji's gaze lifted. Cold. Empty. Yet burning like an inferno.

His golden eyes pierced through Tang Shi, blazing with a light that felt less like mana and more like judgment itself.

Renji extended a hand toward Choji.

In an instant, Choji's shredded body healed completely—no wounds, no scars, as though he had never been touched.

From across the distance, Lily's body glowed with the same golden light. Her wounds sealed, her lungs filled with breath. She gasped, "Oni-chan…"

Tang Shi's knees buckled. He knew—he was finished.

Renji's voice thundered, though it was not his own. A voice older, deeper, resonating like the weight of eternity itself.

"You will die by my hands today."

Tang shii didn't recognize the voice it wasn't Renji's "what is this"! WHO ARE YOU!!

In an instant, Tang Shi's reality shattered.

Renji hadn't moved an inch. He hadn't lifted a finger. Yet Tang Shi's mind was seized, dragged into an endless abyss.

And there—he died.

Once. Twice. A thousand times.

Every blade cut deeper. Every scream echoed louder. Remembering the time in the SSS dungeon

Renji's golden eyes never blinked as Tang Shi was torn apart again and again. In mere seconds, a million deaths had been forced into Tang Shi's consciousness.

His soul shredded with each cycle. His sanity cracked. Sweat poured down his face as he staggered backward, his dagger clattering to the ground.

Renji's voice echoed in his mind, merciless.

"Afraid, are you? I haven't even moved from this spot."

Tang Shi's scream erupted, broken and desperate.

"WHAT ARE YOU?!?!"

Renji stepped forward, his golden gaze searing into Tang Shi's very being.

"You will feel despair."

The world trembled. Tang Shi's own heart quivered. the arrogant hunter felt true fear.
