Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: Encounter.

Chapter 82: Encounter.

Shi Yi, observing that everyone on Shrek was safe and sound, fell into deep thought. According to the original novel, Shrek should have been ambushed by Bibi Dong.

"Never mind, it's changed. Ambushing is inherently foolish," Shi Yi thought to himself.

With Jian Gu and the other two protecting Ning Rongrong, and the elusive Tang Hao, all three of them were Super Douluo, and with Ning Fengzhi's assistance, Shi Yi estimated that without five or more titles, this ambushing wouldn't be successful.

Just then, Yu Xiaogang suddenly called out, "Xiao San, come with me."

Tang San said nothing, only nodded slightly, and followed Yu Xiaogang out of the hotel. As he passed by Shi Yi, he gave him a subtle glance.

After the two left, Liu Erlong pulled Shi Yi into the room and got straight to the point, "Xiao Yi, tell me, what did your teacher talk about with that bitch?"

Shi Yi cautiously said, "Master's Wife, please be more restrained. This is Spirit City, not Tiandou."

"Hey... did you also fall for that bitch's trick? What's wrong with Spirit City? How dare she attack the participating teams?" Liu Erlong glared at Shi Yi.

It's true that women's intuition is always accurate. Shi Yi had indeed chosen Spirit Hall as her power affiliation, but she didn't dare to say it out loud.

Shi Yi smiled and said, "It's better to have less trouble than more. Don't worry, the teacher just had a few private words with her and left the Pope's Palace not long after."

"Didn't I agree that you should watch over your teacher?" Liu Erlong said disapprovingly to Shi Yi.

"This... you were whispering to the teacher, and I didn't dare follow you, especially since the other person was the Pope. But don't worry, I can tell they weren't having a pleasant conversation. Don't worry, you're fine. Didn't you just notice that, teacher?" Shi Yi said with a smile.

Liu Erlong snorted softly, "I don't think your old teacher would dare."

As she spoke, Liu Erlong seemed to have a thought and looked at Shi Yi with some concern. "Since it wasn't pleasant, did it not get done?"

Shi Yi shook his head slightly and said, "Even though it wasn't pleasant, it got done."

With that, Shi Yi could clearly sense Liu Erlong's change of mood. Women are particularly sensitive in this regard. Although it wasn't pleasant, the matter was still accomplished. This was a direct message to Liu Erlong that Yu Xiaogang and Bibi Dong still had feelings for each other.

Hearing this, Liu Erlong fell silent. She didn't ask any more questions, but looked out the window, slightly lost in thought.

"Master's Wife, don't worry too much. So what if the Pope was defeated by you? Flying a kite requires skill. The tighter the string, the easier it is to break. You have to learn to fight without fighting." Shi Yi leaned over to Liu Erlong and whispered.

Hearing this, Liu Erlong rolled her eyes at Shi Yi and said unhappily, "Don't try to teach me the same tricks you used to fool Zhu Qing. I think you're dreaming of having two Master's Wifes."

Shi Yi smiled awkwardly and said, "Master's Wife, how could that be? I've been stuck in the car for days with you, let alone another Titled Douluo. Wouldn't that be the end of me?"

Hearing this, Liu Erlong blushed and glared at Shi Yi, "Alright, get out of here."

Shi Yi chuckled and slowly left the room.

Ning Rongrong asked Shi Yi curiously, "What have you been up to with Master these past few days?"

Shi Yi smiled and said, "It's probably Master's personal matters, and some things related to Tang San. I never ask about things you know about him. The competition is taking place in Spirit City anyway, and I'm free anyway, so I came here with Master."

A subtle glint flashed in Shi Yi's eyes as he spoke. He couldn't tell if Ning Rongrong wanted to know the question herself or if Ning Fengzhi wanted to know it.

Thinking of this, Shi Yi sighed inwardly.

Then, Shi Yi smiled at Ning Rongrong and said, "Let's go. Call Zhuqing, and I'll show you around Spirit City."

Ning Rongrong's eyes lit up at this, and she nodded at Shi Yi before trotting towards Zhu Zhuqing's room.

Elsewhere, Yu Xiaogang and Tang San were walking along the streets of Spirit City when Yu Xiaogang suddenly whispered, "Xiao San, you've been with me for eight years, right?"

A flicker of surprise flashed in Tang San's eyes, and he nodded, softly saying, "Hmm... Teacher, I remember correctly."

Yu Xiaogang slowly shifted his gaze to Tang San and sighed, "Time flies! You and Xiao Yi will graduate soon."

Hearing Shi Yi's name, Tang San remained silent, quietly following Yu Xiaogang.

Seeing Tang San's silence, Yu Xiaogang ignored it and continued, "I came to Spirit City early to ask the Pope for a method to help you overcome the difficulties of your twin spirits..."

Before Yu Xiaogang could finish, Tang San's eyes lit up with joy.

"Teacher, what was the result?" Tang San asked softly. Though Tang San maintained a calm demeanor, Yu Xiaogang could see the joy and excitement in his eyes.

Yu Xiaogang saw a complex flash in Tang San's eyes, and tactfully said, "She knows you're from the Haotian Sect, so she won't tell me this method..."

A hint of disappointment flashed across Tang San's eyes at this, and he forced a smile, saying, "Teacher, it's okay. Maybe Daddy will find a way later."

"I hope so," Yu Xiaogang sighed softly, a glint of insight flashing in his eyes as he looked at Tang San beside him.

Tang Hao, in the dark, couldn't help but frown at this. He understood that absorbing spirit rings beyond their age limit like Shi Yi required a strong body, and the same was true for twin spirits. However, the challenge wasn't just physical strength; there were many details involved.

For example, how old should the second spirit's starting spirit ring be? How could the age of each of the second spirit's spirit rings be properly distributed so that it could successfully reach the eighteenth ring without risking its life?

"Fortunately, Ah Yin's spirit bone is still there, but it's a pity for that rabbit..." Tang Hao thought to himself.

Currently, Tang Hao only had spirit bones as a way to increase a spirit master's physical strength.

This was exactly what Shi Yi had anticipated. Tang San, now lacking immortal artifacts, external spirit bones, and spirit beast sacrifices, could easily max out his 100,000-year spirit rings and spirit bones, just like in the original story.

Tang San's current limit is far lower than in the original story. The Clear Sky Hammer's spirit rings aren't as readily available as they are in the original story, let alone absorbing three 90,000-year-old Thousand-Tier Ant Emperor spirit rings simultaneously.

With only one 10,000-year spirit bone and the highest black spirit ring of the Blue Silver Emperor, this is a very demanding task, even relying on luck. Tang San has no reference points and must rely on his own exploration. While lower-level spirit masters can roughly gauge their physical strength through the pressure of high-level spirit power, no Titled Douluo can do so.

Bibi Dong's method is actually quite simple. Her appearances in the original story show that she's often either hunting 100,000-year spirit beasts, on her way to one, or participating in the Divine Examination.

This method is straightforward. Simply put, it involves leveraging the Spirit Hall's vast power to target 100,000-year-old spirit beasts. With full configurations, there's no chance of death from overexertion. There's no need to calculate how many years one's body can withstand. The highest-aged spirit beasts available on the continent are 100,000-year-old.

By increasing the age of their spirit bones, they continuously increase the age of their spirit rings by stepping on their left foot.

When Bibi Dong began the Rakshasa Divine Trial, her second spirit, starting with the seventh ring, began absorbing 100,000-year-old spirit rings. This demonstrates that the age of Bibi Dong's second spirit rings continues to progress in the same order as her first. Unfortunately, Tang San snatched away her second spirit's eighth and ninth rings. Unable to find more 100,000-year-old spirit beasts, she opted for two high-aged 10,000-year-old spirit beasts to accelerate her path to godhood.

This demonstrates the qualitative difference between even 90,000,900-year-old spirit rings and spirit bones compared to 100,000-year-old ones.

Elsewhere, Shi Yi, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong strolled slowly along the commercial streets of Wuhun City.

"It's so boring here, so much worse than Tiandou," Ning Rongrong complained.

Shi Yi smiled and said, "The Spirit Hall is known as the holy land of the continent's spirit masters, but Wuhun City only allows spirit masters to enter. Naturally, it's not as prosperous as Tiandou. The entire continent only has a hundred thousand spirit masters."

Given that the Spirit Hall holds a 70% market share, excluding the Spirit Hall's spirit masters scattered across the continent, Wuhun City could only hold thirty or forty thousand, or even fewer. This size was even smaller than the small county town in Shi Yi's previous life.

A small population naturally has its advantages. In Wuhun City, everyone is a spirit master. Money means nothing to them; the only difference is their strength and status within the hall.

In contrast, in Tiandou City, Shi Yi could clearly see the class disparity between the rich and the poor just by looking at their clothing. Compared to the spirit masters of Wuhun City, the nobles exploited the common people even more ruthlessly. The prosperity of Tiandou was built on the blood and sweat of countless common people.

In various casinos, brothels, and even at the Tiandou Auction House, one can see the open trafficking of human beings.

  "Zhuqing?"

The three were strolling quietly when they heard a surprised cry from not far away. Shi Yi looked towards the source of the sound with some curiosity.

What he saw was a woman with an extremely hot body, who looked 70% similar to Zhu Zhuqing. Next to her was a blond man who looked very similar to Dai Mubai.

Zhu Zhuqing looked at Zhu Zhuyun, whose originally calm expression became stern, "Zhu Zhuyun!"

"It's been such a long time since we last met. Don't be so fierce, my dear sister. Why don't you see Mubai? Your brother-in-law misses him very much." Zhu Zhuyun chuckled.

Davis looked at Zhu Zhuqing, a glint of lust in his eyes. He smiled, "Yes, Zhuqing, I haven't seen that Mu Bai kid in a while."

Shi Yi also chuckled and whispered to Zhu Zhuqing, "Zhuqing, I'm a little curious, are all your people this... um... do you understand what I mean?"

Ning Rongrong, standing nearby, looked at Zhu Zhuyun's extremely foul-mouthed area and rolled her eyes at Shi Yi. She knew what Shi Yi was thinking without even having to guess, and said to him, "Disgusting."

Zhu Zhuqing also glanced at Shi Yi, sparing her words, "Get lost..."

Shi Yi's voice wasn't loud, but with their cultivation, they could hear it. For a moment, Davis and Zhu Zhuyun saw a cold glint in Shi Yi's eyes. At this critical moment, they couldn't do anything to Shi Yi, so they continued to undermine Zhu Zhuqing's fighting spirit.

"Zhuqing, Mom and Dad miss you so much. After the game, you should come back with me," Zhu Zhuyun said, as if she had already won.

"Zhu Zhuyun, stop pretending! You're making me sick." Zhu Zhuqing stared at her and said slowly.

Shi Yi chuckled and looked at her. "Zhuqing is now a Soul Sect master. Our team won first place in the preliminaries and the promotion rounds. Unlike some who needed a recommendation, we're scared to make it this far."

Zhu Zhuyun's face darkened, and even Davis's expression darkened. On the way to Wuhun City for the competition, he had heard that a young and exceptionally talented player from Tiandou had taken first place in both the preliminaries and the promotion rounds.

"Damn! How did that kid catch up so quickly?" Davis cursed inwardly.

Zhu Zhuyun, standing beside her, also looked worried. She and Davis had always shared a common destiny, but hearing Shi Yi's words, she felt a surge of pressure.

If what Shi Yi said was true, then they were in big trouble. If Zhu Zhuqing truly reached the Soul Sect, then there was no reason why Dai Mubai could still be a Soul Master.

"Tsk... You panicked after just a few words. It seems you're not very confident in your own abilities. Zhuqing, I thought the person who could spur you to work so hard was some incredible genius, but it's just an older loser, not much better than Dai Mubai." Shi Yi chuckled.

"You..." Davis was furious when he heard this, and was about to make a move when he was stopped by Zhu Zhuyun.

"Wes, it's a foul to shoot now," Zhu Zhuyun whispered.

"Beauty, you're very smart, but your choice of men is a little poor." Shi Yi chuckled.

Zhu Zhuyun snorted coldly when he heard this, "I hope your strength on the court is as strong as your mouth. Wes, let's go."

"Hmph..." Davis looked at Shi Yi with a cold glint in his eyes, and then slowly walked away with Zhu Zhuyun.

Looking at the extremely curvy figure, Shi Yi said to Zhu Zhuqing, "I'm really thinking about becoming emperor."

Ning Rongrong chuckled at this. Zhu Zhuqing, who was about to thank him, held back her words and glared at Shi Yi. "Is this all you men think about all the time?"

"Just kidding. I'm practicing every day, so why would I have the time to think about this? I don't have any evil fire. I'm afraid someone won't be able to sleep tonight," Shi Yi chuckled.

Zhu Zhuyun and Davis walked in silence. The unexpected news from Shi Yi made them feel a huge pressure.

Soon Zhu Zhuyun looked at Davis and whispered, "Weiss, we have to collect information about their team as soon as possible. Even if they break through to the Soul Sect, their cultivation will never surpass ours."

Davis nodded. Zhu Zhuyun patted Davis on the shoulder and encouraged him, "Weiss, we've come this far after all these years. The final victory will definitely be ours."

Davis nodded, looking at Zhu Zhuyun with a bit of passion in his eyes, and nodded, "Well, for you, I won't lose, Zhuyun."

Zhu Zhuyun stopped talking, smiled slightly, and whispered, "Let's go, go back and prepare well."
