Silence.
Utter silence.
"Um, say something", I said feeling awkward as they both stared at me in silence.
They both sighed at the same time. The mother broke the silence "Dear, joke around after finishing breakfast, it's not the time yet".
"What, I am telling the truth. I just woke up not remembering anything, I don't even remember my name", I said explaining myself. "Do you want anything? Is that why you are acting like this? Just tell me straight, no need to beat around the bush".
I will really take him up on the offer later, now I need to convince them I really lost my memory.
"Alfred, I think there must be something wrong. There is no way she would come out of her room like this and she genuinely seems to not recognise us", the mother said sensing my seriousness which I tried really hard to face. And Alfred, the father's name seems quite familiar but then again I must have read it in some novel.
The father thought for a moment and said to me," you really don't remember anything? Not even your name?". "That's what I have been saying for the last few minutes, I really dont remember, not even who u both are", I said to him
After they knew I wasn't joking, their expression turned tense. "This will be a problem, she soon has to go to the academy. And if we cancel it, the alpha will surely ask about it and we can't let anyone know about this. This could be treated as a weakness and threat against us", the father or Alfred said.
'alpha? Wait am I in that universe? And academy? I didn't graduate just so I could go to an academy again!'
Looking at my confused face, the father said," you are Estelle, our daughter. I am the beta the royal alpha of the pack 'DARKMOON PACK', beta Alfred Siegfried and this is my mate and your mother, Siera Siegfried".
"You are our one and only precious daughter. I promise we will find a way to get back your memory", mother said as she now sat beside me patting my back.
I just nodded at them.
Wow I am in a werewolf universe then since they are talking about 'alpha', 'beta' etc. wait does that mean I am also a werewolf now, how cool is that!! I can't wait to transform into one!
I pushed aside my excitement for now. I still need to know about this body or myself for now.
"so, how old am I?", I asked. The mother said, "you turned eighteen a few days ago and awakaned your wolf".
Wait am I reincarnated as a character in a novel or whatever. Cause this just reminds me of that. Me waking up in an unknown place,in an unknown body and have such beautiful parents.
I must be in a novel I read like those reincarnation novel. Yeah there is just no other way to explain all of this.
Wait, I have awakaned my werewolf that means I must be able to transform. I will transform after this discussion is over. Wow, I can't wait.
After my inner conversation with myself, I finally started to listen what my parents were saying.
"We would have postponed your admission if we could but it's not possible right now. Even if we do postpone it, everyone else will get suspicious and start investigating. You will have to act like nothing's wrong", Siera said.
Oh shucks, I have to go to the academy and study. I sighed.
So what even is this academy thing?
"I see. It can't be helped then. Just tell me more about this academy", I said
Alfred explained,"the academy was first started 200 years ago when the darkmoon pack was first established by the then alpha kings of all the packs as a means to promote peace among them. It was first only attended by werewolves but a few years ago, the council of the alphas made a new rule where humans were allowed to join the academy by going through some exams and training. Werewolves and humans when they turn eighteen has to join the academy and it is compulsory for werewolves but not for humans. Only the humans who passed the exam and training can join the academy. And since it is compulsory for werewolves, you as a werewolf has to join the MOONVILE academy".
I was in shock not because I had to join the academy but because of the name of the academy 'MOONVILE' and a very familiar description which I had re-read just two days ago.
So,
I am in my favourite novel 'Moonvile' which is also the name of the academy.
And in other words, my wish has been fulfilled!!
