Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: If You Don’t Pay, I’ll Blast This Dump Apart!

Ufole's eyes burned with hope. Rakuya didn't waste words. He left the kid where he was and took off with Momousagi and the Nine Tails.

High above the sea, Rakuya floated the three of them along with a casual sweep of repulsive force. It was almost leisurely.

Marco drifted behind them, bleeding in ribbons.

Phoenix or not, regeneration has limits. Rakuya's thunderous punch had mangled Marco from the inside out. That level of trauma exceeded what the Fruit could mend. Cross a threshold and even a Mythical Zoan dies.

As for the "soul attack" he mentioned to Whitebeard, that was just to make the old man take him seriously.

In truth, one punch had done the job.

Brru-brru. Brru-brru.

The Den Den Mushi rang again.

For the third time. Rakuya's good mood evaporated.

"Hello. Are you done being annoying?" he said, picking up.

"Brat, why should I believe you?"

Whitebeard's voice rumbled down the line.

Don't believe me?

Rakuya frowned, exasperated. When did the old man get this naggy?

"Where are you? I'll send you something you'll recognize."

If the man had doubts, Rakuya would settle them.

"Brat, don't lie to me. If you do, I'll hunt you forever."

"Stop yammering. Spit it out. I don't have time to babysit you," Rakuya said, bored.

"Pendersenro Island."

"Good. I'll have a nice gift delivered." Rakuya's smile turned wicked as he hung up.

"Master, did someone come to pick a fight? Say the word, but you can't step in. Let me go wild this time… I'm dying to fire Tailed Beast Bombs," the Nine Tails said, practically trembling.

Rakuya's eyes lit up. "Little Nine, I do have a job for you."

Seeing that grin, the fox bared its fangs in a sly smile. "What is it? If it isn't fighting, I'm not interested."

"Perfect. This one's right up your alley."

"For real? Someone to pulverize? Master, don't interfere. I'm turning them into scrap with Tailed Beast Bombs."

Rakuya walked over to Marco. The Phoenix had just blinked awake, his body sluggishly knitting under the faint remnant of blue flames. Even so, after that one blow, the fact he'd recovered this much was a testament to the Fruit's power.

Catching Rakuya's look, Marco broke into a cold sweat. "W-what are you doing? Stay away from me!"

"Your Pops doesn't believe I have you. To convince him, I'll send something he knows by sight."

Rakuya's chuckle made Marco's skin crawl.

"W-what are you going to do?"

Rakuya didn't answer. His fist came down.

Crack.

An arm tore free in a spray of blood.

"Aaagh!"

Marco convulsed in midair, pain ripping a ragged scream from him.

Rakuya tossed the severed limb to the Nine Tails. "Take this to Pendersenro Island. Hand it to one of Whitebeard's brats and collect twenty Devil Fruits. If they refuse or try to grab you, don't hold back. Fire as many Tailed Beast Bombs as you want."

"Yes, Master. What do Devil Fruits look like? And which one is Whitebeard?"

Rakuya pulled a handful of photos from his collection, flipping through Devil Fruits and a close-up of Edward Newgate's crescent mustache.

Armed with that, the Nine Tails streaked away under Rakuya's guidance, leaving from a nearby island. Rakuya set him down on the open sea.

The fox sprinted across the waves.

In this world, the Nine Tails was a walking bug. Seawater meant nothing to it. With chakra, it could run the ocean like solid ground, as easy as Kuzan cycling over ice.

Before long, the Nine Tails reached Pendersenro Island.

Countless ships ringed the coast, their flags all bearing the Whitebeard mark.

"Hey, look! What's that on the water?"

"What the hell? Something's sprinting across the sea. Am I seeing things?"

"Did I drink too much? Ability users drown in seawater, right? You're kidding me."

"T-that's not human… It's a fox!"

"A fox that big? Mutant? Must've eaten a Devil Fruit!"

"Report to Pops! Unknown creature inbound!"

Panic rippled along the outer ships. As the Nine Tails closed in, an evil pressure rolled over the sea and shore. The fox's paws hammered the surface, kicking up white plumes that traced a bright line across the waves.

"Out of my way."

Irritated by the ships blocking its path, the Nine Tails opened its jaws. A massive Tailed Beast Bomb condensed in an instant.

Whoosh.

The orb streaked out and slammed into a hull.

Boom.

The explosion tore the ship to scrap. Shockwaves blasted across the decks. Blood sprayed, pirates fainted or died where they stood, and the sea heaved.

Without slowing, the fox leapt skyward, nine tails unfurling until they blotted out the sun.

Thump.

A heartbeat later, it landed in front of the Moby Dick.

Timbers shrieked. The deck cracked under the impact, and the entire flagship rocked.

Seated before the fox was a giant of a man in a captain's cloak, a naginata in his hand and a crescent white mustache curling up his cheeks.

"You're Whitebeard?"

The Nine Tails didn't bother with niceties.

Whitebeard studied the monster with cool curiosity. "So you're the messenger that brat sent?"

Thud.

The fox dropped the bloody arm at his feet.

"My Master says to give you this. Now hand over twenty Devil Fruits. If you don't, I'll blast this dump wide open."
