Chapter 27 - "The Fearsome Giant Oars"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Now that's Whitebeard. What a badass way to talk!"

Kaido swigged straight from the bottle, laughing."Yeah! Shake the Navy to its core! Let 'em feel pirate terror! Heh… though, getting killed by Whitebeard doesn't sound too bad either. Maybe I'll fight him myself one day."

Big Mom's crew murmured in awe."He's still as strong as ever. No wonder they call him the world's strongest man. Charging Marineford head-on… that's the kind of dominance only a Yonko deserves."

At the rear of Whitebeard's forces, the ground trembled as a giant stepped into view. His massive body loomed like a mountain, and each step shook Marineford to its foundation.

The giant raised his enormous blade and swung.

Boom!!!

A cannon tower split clean in half.

"ACE!!!"

The giant's voice rang like a church bell.

The Whitebeard Pirates roared."Yeah! Go, Little Oars Jr.!"

"That's Oars' descendant, isn't it?!""He's gigantic! This goes beyond everything we knew about the giant race!"

From the shadows, Gecko Moria's eyes gleamed."So… Oars' descendant fights for Whitebeard, huh? Heh… I want that corpse."

"OOOARS!!!" Ace cried desperately.

Oars' eyes burned with resolve."Ace is kind… I won't let him die!"

Step by step, he advanced toward the execution platform. Marine Vice Admirals of giant blood charged in to stop him, their massive weapons cutting through pirates like grass.

"The Navy's aiming for Little Oars!!!"

Cannon fire hammered his body but barely slowed him down.

Sengoku's face tightened."What a terrifying asset Whitebeard has brought to this war."

Tears streamed down Ace's cheeks."No, Oars… they'll turn you into a target!"

Ignoring the bombardment, Oars lifted an entire warship and hurled it. Several giant Vice Admirals and their ship went flying, crashing into the bay and opening a gap in the Navy's defenses.

"He's opened a breach!!!"

The pirates surged forward, pouring into the bay as battle erupted inside Marineford itself.

"I'm going to Ace. Nothing will stop me."

Oars swung his massive blade, felling giant Vice Admirals in a few blows.

Whitebeard sighed, almost weary."That fool Oars… courage and recklessness aren't the same thing."

"Don't stop me, Pops!" Oars roared."I'll save him—faster than anyone else!"

Whitebeard's jaw clenched tight. His eyes closed briefly."…Fine. Cover him. Make sure he makes it."

The battlefield became Oars' domain. He carved a bloody path through Marine ranks, his blade reaping dozens with each swing.

At the execution platform, a suffocating aura burst forth. Kuma raised his massive paw, air rippling around it. The shimmering shockwave condensed into a tiny glowing bubble in his palm.

With a flick, he launched it.

"Ursus Shock!!!"

The tiny bubble struck Oars, his colossal chest caving inward under the force.

The world went white. A deafening explosion consumed everything, armor shattering, stone splintering, and Oars' pained roar echoing through the smoke.

The shockwave ripped the battlefield apart. Ice shattered and waves of wind hurled pirates and marines alike across the bay.

The scene dissolved into smoke and chaos.

Naruto World

At the Chunin Exam arena, Naruto gawked at the screen."He's even bigger than a summoning beast?! Monsters like that exist in another world?!"

Sasuke's eyes narrowed."It's just like the Akimichi clan's Expansion Jutsu… but his size and strength are terrifying."

The Third Hokage muttered, almost to himself."Even the Tailed Beasts… might be smaller than that Oars."

Dragon Ball World

Frieza smirked."So what if he's huge? He still got taken out with a single move."

Krillin chuckled, nodding."Yeah. Every time Frieza transforms, his body gets smaller, but his power only gets greater. Strength doesn't come from size."

Gohan smiled softly."Still… Oars was kind of lovable. Big, loyal, and full of heart."

Digimon World

"Come on, Oars! Beat the bad guys and save Ace!" Tai chi cheered.

Yamato nodded. "Yeah. He's amazing. He'd risk his life for his friends without hesitation."

Gabumon's voice quivered."If Yamato were ever in danger, I'd fight to the death too."

Yamato placed a hand on him gently."I wouldn't let that happen. Not to you, Gabumon."

Mimi sniffled."Even if he looks scary… he's so kind. He really treasures his comrades."

"Me…mi…" Palmon whispered, her eyes soft.

The smoke slowly cleared. Oars lay broken and bloodied, his face drenched in crimson, blood flowing from his mouth and nose.

"OARS!!!"

"Stop, it's enough!" Ace screamed, eyes wide with anguish.

Boom!

Oars collapsed to his knees.

His vision blurred. His gaze drifted to a battered straw hat lying nearby—the one Ace had given him.

As his consciousness faded, a familiar figure appeared in his mind.

"Oars, you're so close to the sun—aren't you burning up?" Ace asked with a smile.

"Hot!!!"

"Then try this." Ace sent over a straw hat.

"I learned how to weave these in Wano. Took me three tries to get one right—y'know, fire and straw don't exactly mix."

Oars placed the hat on his massive head. "Ahh… way cooler now!"

Ace's smile flickered in his mind. That's good to hear!

But that smile overlapped with the tears on Ace's face now, yanking Oars back to the battlefield.

He pushed himself up slowly and stumbled forward.

"All batteries—aim at the giant!" the marines shouted, cannons locking onto Oars.

Under the relentless barrage, Oars—already bloodied and broken—was barely conscious.

"I still can't reach you, Ace… I'm sorry."

"But at least… I'll take down one Warlord!" Gathering what remained of his strength, Oars hurled a punch straight at Doflamingo.

"..."
