Law panted hard, clearly that last move had emptied him of every ounce of strength.
Trebol was trembling all over. "Damn you, Law."
Doflamingo's veins bulged and he seethed with rage. "You idiot!"
Trebol went slack for a moment, then glared at Law with furious eyes. "You used your severed hand. How cunning."
"Since that's the case, Law, you're coming with me!"
Trebol raised his cane; flames snaked along it. "I'm taking you to hell with me!"
The moment the fire touched the sticky slime, the whole battlefield exploded into roaring flames.
Usopp saw the inferno and shouted in a panic. "Violet, what's happening at the palace?"
Violet's eyes flashed and a report came through. One of the officers, Trebol, had fallen.
Doflamingo burst out of the flames first, then Luffy carrying Law followed.
Robin looked up at the sky immediately. "Luffy!"
"Doflamingo!"
The small fighters all saw what was happening overhead. "Luffy! Law — is he okay? Should we go help?"
Robin stepped forward slowly. "You'd better not. If you go, you'll just slow things down."
"Look, besides Doflamingo, there's the Warlord Trafalgar Law up there."
Robin darted forward. "Luffy, bring Trafalgar over here!"
Luffy grinned. "Good call, Robin!"
"Please, he's already given Doflamingo a real headache."
Luffy hurled Law down.
Robin used her power at once. "Hundreds of Flowers, Spider Blossom!"
A tangle of arms burst into the air, forming a spiderweb that caught Law as he fell.
Robin hugged him tight. "Don't be ridiculous, Trafalgar. Pull yourself together."
Doflamingo descended from the sky. "Nico Robin!"
"Mind your own business," Robin shot back.
"That guy still has some fight left."
"He's not done yet."
"I'll finish him!"
Doflamingo pointed a finger at Law. "String Shot!"
Luffy's face went red with anger. "Rubber Eagle Whip!"
His legs wrapped with Haki and lashed toward Doflamingo.
But Doflamingo was faster. Bullets of energy like a hail of shots flew straight at Law.
Luffy's whip collided with Doflamingo's arm.
"No!"
"Trafalgar! Robin!"
Faced with the white barrage of energy bullets, Robin had already closed her beautiful eyes.
Then a gallant figure appeared. "Golden and Silver Twin Axes!"
He swung his slender sword and blocked Doflamingo's attack.
Robin looked up and cried out. "Cavendish!"
Luffy yelled furiously. "Cavendish, get everyone out of here!"
Cavendish snapped, refusing to back down. "Don't be stupid. Since we've all met Doflamingo here, I'm going to cut him too!"
Luffy turned and shouted, "We're counting on you, everyone!"
Cavendish blinked. "You're… counting on me?"
"Trust!"
"Reputation!"
"Popularity!"
"The Straw Hat's a fan of mine!"
"Fans ask for stuff they expect to get."
"I can't say no to that!"
"Bartholomeo should still be—" Cavendish trailed off as he readied himself.
Luffy and Doflamingo stared each other down.
Doflamingo sneered. "That's enough, Straw Hat. Law is writhing on the edge of death. He should be put out of his misery."
"You look weaker than before," Luffy shot back. "Beat me first if you want that."
"You're weakened too," Doflamingo replied. "All those hits from Trafalgar can't have done nothing."
They charged. The clash between the Rubber fruit and the String-String fruit began.
Doflamingo's strings shot at Luffy. Luffy leapt to avoid them.
He gathered his strength fast. "Gear Second!"
Terrifying leg whips swept toward Doflamingo. Doflamingo backed off and dodged.
Luffy changed tactics. "Gomu Jet!"
He struck Doflamingo with a punch then followed with a flurry—blows like bullets snapping at him.
Doflamingo retreated slowly, unable to match the speed, and took a heavy hit to his gut.
Luffy's palms glowed with Haki. He pressed them together. "Rocket Gatling!"
A brutal attack struck Doflamingo's stomach. He flew backward, slammed through the air.

In the world of the real Pirate King
Doflamingo stared in shock at how rapidly Luffy had improved. "The Straw Hat has actually grown enough in the future to wound me."
"It looks like I need to deal with him sooner rather than later."
Trebol couldn't believe it. "He called me an idiot and left me to die. Could it really be like Law said?"
New World
The Red-Haired Shanks crew were celebrating. Shanks watched the news of Luffy's quick growth and felt joy swell in his chest.
"Luffy, you didn't disappoint me. Come to the New World soon. I'll be waiting."
The crew around him were excited too. "I never expected Luffy to grow so fast. Proud of him."

Asta was doing sit-ups. "I want to be as strong as Luffy in that video. I've got to train harder!"
Noelle glared. "Idiot Asta, what are you doing now? It's late and you're keeping me up."
Asta looked up. "Oh, Noelle. I'm training. I want to be on that top ten anime moments list!"
Noelle scoffed. "You better try. I'm royal blood; I might get on that list first."

Back to the battlefield, Luffy panted. Doflamingo lay not far away, laughing with a terrible sound.
He stood up with ease. "Your speed is high, but your force is lacking."
He leapt. "Overwhelming String!"
Lines of terrifying energy, like shockwaves, shot from his hand.
Luffy jumped to avoid them. Doflamingo spun his strings and flung Luffy away.
"How nostalgic," Doflamingo murmured. "Ever since I stripped Crocodile of his title, I've always kept an eye on things. Then you dropped into the Summit War, survived, and ended up here."
Doflamingo kicked hard. Luffy was struck square in the chest and sent flying into a wall.
He gritted his teeth, stretched an arm up and clutched the top of the wall.
Luffy sprang up. His right fist was wrapped in Haki. He smashed into Doflamingo.
A fierce duel followed, new techniques thrown at each other.
Doflamingo's fingers fired like a machine gun, shooting terrifying energy bullets.
Luffy wrapped both hands in Haki and punched, shattering them to block the salvo.
Law suddenly woke and grabbed Cavendish's shoulder. "You guys go. Leave me here."
Cavendish shouted, "What are you talking about?"
Law insisted, "For thirteen years I've lived to kill Doflamingo. I've done all I can. Now it's up to the Straw Hat captain."
"If he wins, I want to witness it myself here."
"If he loses, then I'll die here with him."
