The birdcage kept tightening, chaos was swallowing the city, and the time left for Luffy was running out fast.
Doflamingo's lips curled into a wicked grin."Gear Fourth…?"
Luffy's eyes burned with determination."If I'm gonna smash you down, I need to get stronger!"
First, he wrapped his arm in Haki, then blew a huge puff of air straight into it.
His arm ballooned instantly."Muscle Balloon!!!"
He kept pumping air into his body, swelling bigger and bigger, red energy flickering over his skin like fire. Strange markings appeared across his chest as his body transformed.
His arms grew massive, coated in thick layers of red and black Haki, radiating a dangerous aura.
"Gear Fourth!!!""Bounce Man!!!"
Even his legs were wrapped in Haki, springing against the ground like coiled steel.
Doflamingo burst out laughing."Oy, oy, oy… are you kidding me?"
"You swell yourself up like that and think it's some kind of secret weapon?"
"Don't make me laugh! You can barely stand with that rubber body of yours bouncing all over the place."
"And you still think you can beat me?"
Luffy growled back, his voice sharp and fierce."For the past two years, I've been fighting monsters—beasts way bigger and stronger than you!"
"To bring them down, this body, this elasticity… it was the only way!"
Doflamingo sneered, unimpressed."Elasticity? What good is that supposed to do?"
But Luffy's arm suddenly compressed, winding tighter like a spring loaded with power.
"Shut up! I'll beat you till you can't move a muscle!"
With a powerful bounce off the ground, Luffy launched like a cannonball straight at him.
"Gomu Gomu no… Kong Gun!!!"
His fist slammed down with terrifying force. Doflamingo blocked with his arm, but the impact still sent him flying like a ragdoll, crashing through the palace walls and plummeting down.
He smashed into a tower with a deafening boom, coughing up a mouthful of blood as the structure collapsed in smoke and rubble around him.
The people watching gasped in shock."What just happened?!""Something just fell from the sky!""It's Doflamingo!!!"
Blood streamed from the corners of his mouth as he staggered back to his feet. The crowd shrank away in fear.
Breathing hard, Doflamingo wiped the blood from his lips, scowling."The central street, huh? Guess I flew pretty far."
Then came the hiss of compressed air. His eyes widened in disbelief—Luffy was flying straight at him, rocketing forward with jets of steam bursting from his feet.
"He's… using recoil to fly?!"
Luffy shot through the air at blinding speed."Gomu Gomu no… Rhino Schneider!!!"
His legs smashed into Doflamingo's face like a mortar blast, sending him crashing through building after building, the city shaking with the impact.
"He… he kicked Doflamingo clear across the street!!!" the townsfolk cried.
Luffy bounced across the ground like a giant rubber ball, hurtling after him.
But silver threads suddenly filled the air, slicing apart the stone around them. Doflamingo strode out of the rubble, seething.
"Damn you! Coating your skin in Armament to increase your tension that much… You're nothing but a stupid balloon made of rubber!"
Luffy didn't slow down. He rebounded off the ground, eyes sharp, then blasted himself skyward in an instant.
In a heartbeat, he was floating across from Doflamingo, the two locking eyes midair.

Usopp's eyes sparkled like stars."Luffy! That was awesome! Gear Fourth is insane!!"
Luffy grinned wide."Even I didn't know the Gum-Gum Fruit could be used like this… Guess I had a good teacher somewhere in the future!"

The barrage shot forward like cannon fire, screaming toward Luffy.

His voice thundered with final resolve."Get ready, Doflamingo… I'm ending this!"
