Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:On the way to hell

Blood splattered all over the floor. The demon looked around but felt even more aggressive, for he was still enslaved by the same scientist. Even though he had killed him, he was not free yet.

Then the demon noticed the capsule. Inside, he saw a human. He examined it closely and spotted a ring hanging from a chain. Looking closer, he realized this was the key to his freedom. But the moment he touched it, a burst of angelic light threw him back. He understood that he couldn't take it.

Seeing there was nothing else he could do, he glanced at the dead sergeant on the ground and came up with an idea. He dragged the corpse, and once positioned, he returned its soul, reviving it instantly.

—"Ahhhhh… what… happened?"

—"Well, obviously, I brought you back."

—"What? But why would you do that…?"

The demon injected demonic blood into the sergeant, restoring his lost parts. At the same time, he questioned why he was even doing this. Still, the demon realized the ring wouldn't let anyone touch it. The sergeant then said it was most likely that only the one inside the capsule could use it. The demon asked when the human would awaken, and the sergeant replied that it would probably happen only when the capsule opened—and that would be once it was launched.

The demon understood. Knowing what he had to do, he transformed into a human woman. The sergeant was shocked, but the demon told her it wasn't the first time—he had already been doing it for hundreds of years, watching humanity without alerting anyone. Even so, he carried the sergeant with him, heading toward the location where the capsule would be launched. While the demon was thrilled, the sergeant screamed in absolute terror.

Elsewhere, some little birds were drinking from a small river. Without warning, a bullet killed one of them. In the distance, two hunters celebrated while wearing gas masks.

They approached the bird, examined it carefully, and concluded that it wasn't infected. They cheered, overjoyed, because they had killed many of these birds before, but all had been infected. Happy, they headed home. The place they returned to was incredible—it looked like a palace from a fairy tale, but in reality, it was a highly futuristic city. In the distance, a figure stood on top of the tallest building, holding a glass…
