The Grand Line's climate was certainly unpredictable, but it lacked the destructive storms that plagued other seas. Andy experienced a variety of weather on his journey, from hail to sleet, but his strong body made these conditions feel like minor annoyances. By afternoon, the weather had stabilized, and he saw a normal sunset for the first time since entering the Grand Line.
"Crocus was right," Andy thought excitedly as he saw the outline of an island ahead. "When the climate stabilizes, the next island is close!"
The island was Reverse Mountain, named for its two connected dormant volcanoes that were shaped like two large bowls, or "Reverse." Unlike Whiskey Peak, this island was primarily for brewing, with only a few bounty hunters around.
A strong alcoholic vapor constantly drifted from the craters of the two volcanoes, which the locals used to create their unique distillation techniques. This allowed them to brew a high-proof alcohol called Reverse, with an alcohol content of over 60 degrees. Many merchants came here for the strong liquor, and Reverse was a common drink in some Grand Line bars.
Andy, a connoisseur of fine liquor, wanted to try it for himself. His jet ski quickly reached the port of Reverse Mountain, but as soon as he arrived, he was completely bewildered by the people. Their carefree style of dress made him think he'd accidentally landed on Amazon Lily.
"Oh!" two women exclaimed. "What a handsome man!"
"Sir, are you also here to buy our Reverse alcohol?" one of them asked.
"Do you want to come to my house and take a look?" another woman asked.
"Why go to her house? My alcohol is better! Sir, come to my house!"
"No, come to my house!"
As soon as he stepped off his jet ski, two women grabbed his arms, each trying to pull him to their home to buy alcohol. Other people nearby were annoyed that these two shameless women had gotten ahead of them again. They wanted to sell their alcohol, too!
"Uh... ladies... I haven't even properly parked my boat yet," Andy said, embarrassed by the sudden enthusiasm. Their personalities were a bit too bold for his taste.
"That's fine! Just leave it here. Someone will watch it," the woman on his left said casually.
"She's right, it won't get stolen!" the woman on his right added confidently.
Being so close, Andy could smell the strong scent of alcohol on them; they truly deserved to be people who grew up drinking Reverse. "It's fine, it won't take long," Andy said, pulling his right hand free. This made the voluptuous woman pout, while the slender one on his left gave her a provocative look.
Then, Andy reached out and put his jet ski into his spatial dimension. The two women's mouths dropped open in surprise. But then, a look of terror crossed their faces. The woman on the left immediately let go of Andy, and both women backed away from him. The people around them reacted the same way, looking at him with frightened expressions, as if they had seen a demon.
"You... you're Red Hawk?!" the voluptuous woman stammered, her face pale with fear.
"Uh... I've been recognized?" Andy's face was a bit awkward. They had been so enthusiastic, but after they realized who he was, they completely changed. Women were so fickle!
"He's Red Hawk! Run!" the slender woman screamed, grabbing her friend's arm, and they both fled the port. Everyone else quickly followed, and the once-bustling port fell into a sudden, eerie silence, save for the sound of waves.
"Are they that afraid of me? Is my reputation in the Grand Line really that effective?" Andy said, a bit incredulous.
He frowned, looking around the port. At that moment, dozens of people holding swords, guns, and sticks walked toward him.
"Hahahaha! Look at him; he still thinks those people were afraid of him!" a voice called out.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Typical of a pirate from the Four Seas, no self-awareness at all."
"Exactly!"
"They ran away so fast because of us!"
"Red Hawk, your head, worth 110 million, is ours to take from the Hyena's Fang Workshop!"
"Hahahaha... A teenager with a bounty over 100 million... The World Government thinks too highly of him!"
"Heh, heh, heh. The lower the strength, the higher the bounty. That's a good deal for us!"
"You said it, hahahaha..."
Listening to them, Andy realized they were a bounty hunter organization. He looked at the dozens of men, all of them filled with a natural sense of superiority. They needed a rude awakening.
"Hey! Uncle, do you have bounties? Or have you ever?" Andy asked, feigning curiosity and looking at a scruffy-bearded man who seemed to be their leader.
The scruffy-bearded man laughed, and his men did too, a look of arrogance on their faces. "Bounties? Hahahaha! All six of us have them, but we don't—"
"POOF!"
"Uh..."
Before the man could finish, he and the men around him froze, their eyes wide with terror. In the next second, all six of their heads rolled to the ground. Hot blood gushed from their necks, splattering everywhere.
[Ding~]
[Bounty Points + 16 million points!]
[Bounty Points + 13 million points!]
[Bounty Points + 23 million points!]
[Bounty Points + 9 million points!]
[Bounty Points + 43 million points!]
[Bounty Points + 12 million points!]
"A little less doesn't matter, as long as there is some. Otherwise, there's no sense of accomplishment in killing them," Andy said with an indifferent voice.
The remaining bounty hunters suddenly snapped out of their daze. When they saw the severed heads of their six cadres rolling on the ground and their still-bleeding bodies, their faces went ashen with terror.
"Run!"
"The boss and the cadres... they're all dead!"
"Ahhh! Run fast!"
Disordered, terrified screams filled the air. They cried out for help, desperate to escape the slaughter.
"Red Shadow: Thousand Feathers!"
Andy calmly swung his Vermilion Demon Blade, and in an instant, countless crimson, feather-light sword slashes drifted into the crowd of bounty hunters.
"Ugh, ah!"
"Wuwuwu..."
"Mercy..."
"Don't kill me, I was wrong..."
"Help..."
Screams and fear intertwined like a surging tide, spreading through the blood-soaked port. The blood of
