The woman who called herself Seiya's mother was named Yuko Wenren. However, she was only in her early twenties and was not his biological mother; she was his guardian. While she looked a bit disheveled, when she dressed up, she was a very attractive woman. Before becoming a doujinshi artist, she was an underground idol, so she was definitely more beautiful and had a better figure than most people.
Yuko had been an art student, but she dreamed of becoming an idol because her sister, Ako, had raised her on her idol income. Yuko wanted to be as radiant as her sister. But one day, her dreams and her peaceful life were shattered.
Her sister, Ako, who she admired and looked up to, was on her way to introduce her fiancé and his younger brother to Yuko when they came across a murder. A man wearing a hat broke into a house and stabbed a female idol named Ai Hoshino to death. The man then turned to a young boy who was there, intending to kill him as well. Ai, who was barely alive, screamed for help. Ako and her party, who happened to be passing by, saw the whole thing. As a fellow idol, Ako recognized the famous Ai Hoshino. Even if she hadn't, they couldn't stand by and watch a child be murdered. So, Ako's fiancé bravely charged forward to stop the man. He managed to knock the attacker down, but he was stabbed in a vital spot. When Ako rushed to her fiancé's side, the attacker, who was still alive, got up. He seemed to have gone crazy and recognized Ako as an idol. He laughed maniacally, stabbed her, and then took his own life.
On the scene, two men and two women lay in a pool of blood, along with two young children. The blonde child was stunned by the sight and seemed to be in a state of shock, especially when he saw that Ai was dead. But the black-haired child, after a moment of crying, noticed that Ako was still breathing. He took off his clothes and used them to stop her bleeding. Then, with his small body, he carried her to the sofa, gave her first aid, and called for help.
When the police and paramedics arrived, they were stunned by the scene. The police later told Yuko that the attacker was a fan of Ai Hoshino who couldn't accept that she was married, so he did what he did. When he saw Ako, he recognized her as an idol and, in his maddened state, he killed her as well.
Ako was still in a coma but had survived. Her fiancé, however, had died from his stab wound. The young black-haired boy, his younger brother, was now an orphan. Because her sister's fiancé had died to save her, and the boy had saved her sister, Yuko adopted him and liked to call herself his "Mom."
Since Ako was in a coma, the medical bills were enormous. Yuko had no choice but to drop out of school and become an illustrator. But most of her income came from being a well-known doujinshi artist.
"I want to rest, too, but I can't. The hospital bills for my sister and our living expenses are getting higher and higher. My sister's savings are almost gone. If I don't get more work, we won't even be able to afford ramen," Yuko said as she stroked Seiya's head, telling him that children who stay up late won't grow tall.
"Yuko, I've been thinking. I'm going to take Arima's advice and try to become a child star."
The Arima Seiya was talking about was Kana Arima, a little girl with shoulder-length reddish hair who was his neighbor. She was a genius child star who was known for being able to "cry in 10 seconds." Because of her arrogant personality, she had no friends. Seiya, being more mature, was the only one who could tolerate her, so the genius child star had been "taking care of" him. Arima had told him that he was more mature than other kids his age and that she could get him into the entertainment industry. Seiya, as a transmigrator, felt it was embarrassing to be taken care of by a six-year-old girl and refused.
But now, seeing Yuko working late at night, he felt that he had to do something.
"Oh, really? My Seiya wants to be a star? Mommy will support you. But it's really late now, my little superstar. You should go to bed."
Yuko didn't take what Seiya said seriously and talked to him like a child. Seiya was helpless. He knew that even if he acted like a man and told her that he had to take care of his family, she would just laugh.
